Noon smiled. "Thanks anyways." She turned to the door. Her horn glowed, and the nob twisted. "I should probably get back to-" Her eyes went wide. She had completely forgotten about Stone Heart. "Oh my god." Her hoof came over her mouth as she turned her head back to Windy, biting her lip. "Stone." She said, just loud enough for him to hear.

Windy felt his heart skip a beat in fear, Noon had a coltfriend?? "Uh, Noon? You never told me you had an, um, coltfriend. And I swear to Luna, if I'd known that, I'd never have laid a hoof on you, I'd have just crashed on the couch!" After a pause, he sighed sadly. "Can't say I'm not a little disappointed to hear you're taken. You were starting to grow on me." He said, slyly grinning at her. "Stone must be a lucky colt...." Noon frowned. "Way to jump to conclusions." She sounded defensive, a tell that a pony is lying, which she would normally avoid doing. "Stone Heart isn't my coltfriend, Windy." She gave him a glare, realizing reluctantly that she may as well spill the beans at this point. "She is my marefriend."

Windy blinked in confusion, not understanding the true implications of what Noon was saying. "Okaaay, soooooo you have a marefriend? What's the issue? Almost every mare I've ever met has marefriends to hang with, go shopping, whatever. Why does this one friend, Stone, get to call the shots on who you see? I mean, she's just one of your friends. Well, maybe she's your BFF, but even so..." He said in confusion, obliviously missing the point Noon was attempting to make.

She almost yelled, thankful that the door was closed. "You know, faggot? Queer? Well that's me!" She paused after hearing those words come out of her mouth. "Society's punching bag." Tears began to find their way into her eyes, blurring her vision.

Noon looked at him with irritation. "No, she's my marefriend" After she got another confused look, she took a second the gather her thoughts. "I'm bisexual, Windy!" She almost yelled, thankful that the door was closed. "You know, faggot? Queer? Well that's me!" She paused after hearing those words come out of her mouth. "Society's punching bag." Tears began to find their way into her eyes, blurring her vision.

Anger like no other surged up in Windy. He wanted nothing more than to yell at Noon, to exploit her emotional state and make her hurt. Opening his mouth, he thought better and closed it, then took a deep breath.

 

Speaking in a much calmer voice, he spoke, "Noon, look, I first want you to know that I don't hate bisexual ponies. Well, for a while I did, but not anymore. See, I knew this mare, Vineyard was her name. Great mare. Well, I thought she was. Was bisexual. Never told me. If she had, I wouldn't have cared, really. All I wanted was for her to be faithful to me, like I was to her. And I thought she was faithful! I even wanted to MARRY her. But... When she had been saying she hadn't touched another COLT besides me, she was telling the truth. But there was a mare she was seeing on the side... Like I wasn't GOOD enough!" Taking a deep breath, Windy calmed back down.

 

"Well, when I found out, I wasn't happy. At all. I became convinced that all bi ponies were cheating bastards. But you, you are all worried about your...... Your marefriend, and the fact that you accidentally cheated on her. That's loyalty, more than I've ever seen or had in any of my relationships. I can respect that. I won't view you any differently. Thank for turning around my opinion on bis. Stone is sure lucky to have a pony as faithful as you." He said, looking away and doing his best to keep bitterness out of his voice. "Sure as heck know I'd love to have somepony like that." He muttered.

Noon smiled slightly, looking down. "No, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have done this to you." She wiped tears from her face, taking time to think about her words. "You deserve someone better. You're a great guy, Windy. I hope you find somepony perfect for you." Her horn glowed, and the knob on the door turned with a click.

Great guy. Great guy. You deserve someone better. Great guy. Staring at the door, Windy ground his teeth and did his best to remain calm. He had heard those words from many mares, and every time, it had been the end of a relationship, sometimes even after months or years together as a couple.

 

Breathing deeply, trying to contain his anger, Windy slammed his face against the wall, then banged his wings against it. "Why am I such a loser!?" He yelled in frustration. "I'm an athlete, handsome, cool, and a party hard, chill dude! And yet, nopony ever wants to have anything more than a short fling with me! What's it take to get a real, loving, exclusive relationship around this joint!" He yelled at nopony in particular, continuing to mash his head against the wall.
