"Well you haven't had the best of days huh? Sorry to hear, perhaps I can find this man and take care of him for you?"

He flapped the metal wings and scraped them together, releasing a small shower of sparks.

"Aspect Channeling. I don't know much about the power, just that it focuses on a part of my soul and converts into... whatever it is you're seeing now. It only seems to draw on three forms, which seem to be my most prominent...."

"Oh, you're a dear," said Olivia with a shaky smile. "I hope that little...misunderstanding didn't change your view of me at all. I tend to be a bit...stupid," she confessed. "Book smarts I may have, but a sense of direction and street smarts, I shall never learn."

 

At his offer she paused, but shook heard head firmly. "He was wounded himself, I'm sure that my trusty pipe and I shall be able to take care of it." She waved it wildly and then sent it over the edge of the building, and her face fell as the loud clatter told her it had hit the ground. "Oh. Or not. I guess I'm doomed," she laughed, slightly disturbingly. Her head and leg were throbbing and she felt rather faint, but the dazzling glow of the wings kept her awake.

 

"That's not possible," she argued. "There's no such thing as powers, you goose, you're just trying to trick me! Now really, tell me, how did you make those?"

Ooc: Dammit, you left me behind! I was at work all day. Now I gotta come up with a reason why Louise wasn't fighting the zombie thugs.

 

Louise had at first followed the others, but sheered off as she heard a scream to the side. She ran in the direction of the scream, which ended muffled as tho someone had clamped a hand over the woman's mouth. Skidding round a corner, she saw three men and one teenage girl. One of the men had his hand over the girl's mouth, the others were holding her arms and laughing.

 

"Come on," taunted one of the men. "Don't be shy, we know you want it."

 

"Yeah," the man with his hand over the girl's face said. "You're asking for it, wearing that skirt."

 

His voice died away in horror as he saw Louise. She had extended several bones from her hands like foot long claws, and was pointing them right at his face.

 

"Let go the girl right now," she growled. "Or you'll regret it."

 

The man did as he was told; he shoved the teenage girl away from him and she stumbled and fell on to her knees. The other men let go as they saw their leader do so. Louise smiled.

 

"Too bad that the one thing I really hate," she said, "Is men who treat women like shit. So you're gonna get yours anyway."

 

In deference to the girl, sobbing on the floor near her and not wanting to traumatise her further, Louise didn't kill the would be rapists. Instead, she withdrew the bone claws back into her hands, and instead sent chunks of bone at each of the men, knocking them unconscious.

 

She took out her phone and left an anonymous message with the police, telling them where to find the men. Louise was sure she recognised them from photofits in the paper, describing a team of three men who targeted young girls. The police would be glad to finally catch them. She helped the girl to her feet; the girl clung to Louise, sobbing.

 

"Let's get you home," Louise said as she walked the girl away from the scene.

*Shale was walking back to Taker's place when a pipe fell from the sky and landed on his head. He looked up confused, but did not see anything. He shrugged and continued his walk.*

*Crow looked at the new arrival. She seemed a little ditzy, but cool none the less.*

"Do you need any help? When you got here your movement looked like you were hurt."

*Crow looked at the new arrival. She seemed a little ditzy, but cool none the less.*

"Do you need any help? When you got here your movement looked like you were hurt."

"He did a real number on my leg, and I've been unconscious for loads of time," she said, and she rolled up her hospital gown to reveal the dried-apricot sized lump on her leg. "Not the most brill time of my life, that man had a full F.T." She rolled down the gown and, feeling woozy, she sat down on the edge of the roof and pointed.

"He lives in that ginnel somewhere, but I'm not quite certain. The door shut and disappeared before I could see anything."
