BOOM MORNING TIME

Dust awoke from his slumber to see light peeking through his blinds. He yawned and looked around his room. It was small but well kept. His ouse was pretty small, but it was all he could afford when he had gotten to Baltimare. "Ah really need a job...." Dust had been surviving through the year on bits his family sent him. It was hard finding work here; all the jobs seemed to be taken. He sighed and went to make something to eat.

Spark woke up and stretched. Rernad's clock already had him up and running, waiting by her bed.

"Rernad, please go open the shop." Spark said, and Rernad flew downstairs. Spark got ready then followed him, sitting behind her counter while munching on toast.

I wonder if Emerald's going to be coming in... maybe Orion will too. That would be interesting.

Orion closed his and let out a loud yawn. He was feeling very relaxed and comfortable in his bed, so comfortable he didn't really want to get up and out of it just yet. He decided to simply lay there for the bit; staring at the ceiling and with his hooves rest behind his head, he took the time to think for a bit.

He thought about the interesting day he had yesterday. No doubt was it the best day for his shop thus far. He thought and reminisce back to the people he had met, and befriended, especially Scribes. He was not sure whether or not Scribes had ever came back since his departure last night, but he wasn't all that worried.

Well another day. Another exciting opportunity to welcome the unknown! Time for work! Orion thought to himself as he finally got himself up and out of the bed. He then made his way out the door of his room and then exited the hotel to take another one of his walks down to his workshop.

Nice weather today. Orion thought, enjoying the morning breeze. Passing by all the local shops and markets, he then thought back to that one mare he met the other day, Spark.

It would be nice to see her again... eh who knows.

Icy was down stairs in her room. Her room was always chilly, she rather be cold then hot. Icy shock off the small flakes of Ice and snow from her mane. She didn't have work today she so she was ready to spend the day out in the town. She brushed her mane and did a cleaning. She went upstairs to leave for the day.

"Well now why are you up this early?" Regal was tending to some clothing he got in today. He was checking them for details and perfection.

"I'm heading out" Icy never told Regal where she was going, mainly because she didn't know where she would end up.

"Truly, it hurts me when you don't tell me things, but I suppose I'll take it as an answer for now" He went back to the clothes. Icy smiled and left the store.

"I should go to Starbucks I've never been there" Icy said to herself

Nuclear yawned loudly, stretching in her bed. "Ah...that was a good sleep."

She got out of her bed and walked to a mirror, fixing her bedhead hair as best as she could.

The gray mare's stomach growled, alerting her that it was time for something to eat. "Where could I get something to eat? If this place is anything like Manehattan...There's probably something close by..." she said to herself, grabbing her small purse bag of bits and leaving the hotel.

((Cant mention you properly on my phone because of the symbol :( ))

"Hey! Hold up!"

Scribe trotted out from the hotel after the dark pony. "You're new around here too, right? I need to find some coffee, fancy coming along?" He shrugged - it was a unfortunately common gesture for him, but he was working on it.

"Yesterday I tried finding a place and discovered two inventors and the hotel, but no coffee."

Never quite forgotten.

@,

Nuclear's ears perked up hearing Scribe and turned around, a smile appearing on her face. "Ooh, okay!"

It would nice having someone she sort of knew with her. She grinned wider at Scribe.

"Perhaps you'll have better luck this time since you're with me, hehehe." she commented, laughing at her own attempt at humor.

"Great!" Scribe said, hopping down the steps to the hotel and joining the mare.

"I hope so, need coffee to think straight, can't find coffee without thinking straight - it's a dangerous circle." He grinned, eyes aching: going without sleep wasn't a problem for him, so long as he got his pick-me-up.

@,

"Pffft. I love coffee but I don't drink it often." Nuclear trotted alongside Scribe, on their mini-adventure to find some coffee and food.

"I like to think of it as an energy booster when I make explosions." Another grin appeared on the ecstatic unicorn at mentioning one of her favorite things.

"Yeah..." Scribe said a little uneasily.

'... and I thought Cinder was crazy... Ah well, you make strange friends normally, no sense changing things up now...'

He grinned, well, crazy or not she was sure to be interesting to be around.

"So, you.. Uh.. Make things explode?" He asked. "Not me, I hope? I prefer to stay in one piece where possible."

@,

"I can, but the radius and power depends upon my focus." Nuclear giggled, trotting along. "Like if I am angry and wish to truly cause harm, There is a very small chance I can level a house."

She thought for a second. "Though I've never tried to blow things up bigger than a tree..." she mused.

"Oh! I can also use radiation magic!" Nuclear smiled again. "Like, it hard to explain the uses...cause there are not many things I do with it without hurting somepony."

"Sounds useful. Well apart for the whole 'radiation' thing, can't really thing of a use for that." Scribe answered, still wondering how he always managed to surround himself with the quirkiest types he could.

"I, Uh.. Don't really do anything like that. Don't really do much magic at all so... No big explosions for me. Yeah I know, not much of a unicorn."

He pointed a hoof towards a shop by the street.

"That place look like they have coffee to you?"

Orion was now just a block away from his store. As he began trotting over, he turned around to look at more of the awakening city of Baltimare. He then noticed a familiar friend walking with another familiar stranger. He soon realized that the two were Scribes and Nuclear.

Maybe I should go over there and say hi...eh nah. I'll let those two be. Orion thought as he finally made it to the front of his shop.

He flipped the closed side of the sign to open as he then entered his shop.

Orion's chamber of the century, now open for business once again! I wonder who will show up today. Orion smiled at the thought.

@,

"I'm sure you have talents. Not everything is explosions." She grinned. "Even if they are amazingly awesome~!"

Nuclear tilted her head in the direction Scribes had pointed. "Maybe?" She reared up and began trotting over to the shop. "Well, we won't know unless we check!"

"Excelent!." Scribe answered, following the mare inside, the smell hitting him immediately.

"Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm great!" He smirked. "Just don't ask me to cast any spells, it won't end well."

He scanned over the counter, hardly even noticing most of the things on display.

"Want anything? I'll get it if you want, just happy for the company."

'... the friendly, if slightly unnerving, company...'

@,

Nuclear sniffed the air, her mouth watering from all the delicious smells. "Hm..." Her yellow eyes scanned the store's wares, apparently being sort of picky. 'Hm...I want..'

"Oh! I want an espresso and a glazed donut! ...If that's not too much trouble, I mean..." She smiled sheepishly at Scribe.

She had brought her own money, but if he was willing to pay, she didn't want to be rude.

Icy got up from her seat and looked around. Things were peaceful and that's all she wanted.

She noticed Scribe and was about to say hi when she saw him with another mare.

"Well looks like he's busy" Icy took another drink of her tea and watched them. She walked away from her place. Her mind was a little cloudy for some odd reason. She passed b Orion's story again.

@

"..." Icy stared at the door for a while before entering it.

"Hello?" she said once she was inside.

Orion was just busy cleaning the countertops and dusting off the shelves when he heard a sudden slide of the entrance doors opening. He was surprised. It was the quickest any customer had entered his store after opening, and it only took a minute to attract a customer.

Orion was somewhat ecstatic, by this, and when he turned around to greet the newcomer, he saw that it was that unicorn mare from the other day. He gave her a welcoming smile.

"Hey, umm...Icy! Right?"

"Yes" she said tilting her head to him.

"Um, I saw your was open and I thought to stop by" She looked around. This store was an oddity to Icy, but she really liked it.

"Orion? was it? I have a question it's ah..." Icy thought about what she was going to say and do, but changed it. She regained her cold composure. She hated herself when she left her emotions run free like that.

"Forget what I said. So do you work everyday?" icy said trying to be friendly.

"Sure no problem, give me a second." He said, sidling up to the counter. "Uh, two Coffees, black. An Espresso and, uh, two glazed donuts." He ordered, dropping a pouch onto the counter. "She's got a point, they do look pretty good..."

"Want to find a seat?" He asked, turning back again levitating the assortment of foodstuffs ahead of him. They shook a little in the air, but somehow the liquids managed to stay in their containers.

@,

"Oh! Lemme help!" said Nuclear, taking the drinks from Scribe and levitating them to a window-side table.

She placed them on the table and sat down, smiling to herself, seeming pleased. "I believe this one is yours~"

said Nuclear as she pointed at one of the coffees.

@@Snowy Storm,

"Yes, you got that name right!" Orion answered enthusiastically. "And if you don't ever want to forget my name, then just look at the front of my shop, Orion's Chamber of The Century!" Orion humorously added.

He then noticed her stutter of words when she seemed like she was going to ask him a question. It immediately caught his attention but he decided to ignore it.

"Well kind of yeah, except for Saturdays  I don't really like to miss a single opportunity to welcome my customers to a shop like no other. Plus I hope to get some decent publicity soon." Orion happily explained.

"Thanks... I think I had it though." Scribe grinned, horn flicking as tiny jolts of golden energy sparked outward for a moment - his unstable use of magic trying to correct itself, it finished after a couple of seconds. He grabbed for one of the coffees and took a drink eagerly.

"Ah.. Needed that. You would not believe how hard it is to get a good drink on the road. Or maybe you would, your new in town aren't you?"

@,

"Yep! I took a train from Manehattan to here." Nuclear replied, taking a bite of her donut. "Mmm~ Yummy!" she remarked, taking another bite.

Nuclear sipped her espresso, licking her lips afterwards. "The coffee seems to taste better here, hehe. I wonder why?" she asked aloud, tapping her chin with a hoof, a smile on her face.

"No idea." Scribe said with a shrug. "Huh, look at this, I've somehow found somepony else to bore with my obsession over coffee..." He said with a smirk. "If I talk too much, just tell me to shut up."

He took a bite of the donut - It was pretty good.

"So, Manehattan you say? Never been there, you travel much or...?"
