She thought a few moments. He really hasn't done anything wrong.

 

"I... I trust you, but not completely though. You get why though, right? If not it's because I don't fully know you or anypony else here. So I don't trust them completely either. So no, I guess I'm not suspicious."

 

She didn't lie with her word. She really wasn't that suspicious of him. Then again, she did have a huge heart

Lilac looked over at Pelate and smiled. "Of course sweetie I did say that I had every instrument didn't I? it should be over there somewhere." She waved her hoof in the general direction of the wind instruments.

 

Dust finished playing, it was a short piece, and he got up gingerly, not wanting the piano to be smeared with his coal dust. He walked back to his seat and sat down carefully. He didn't like to show off his talent but if asked he would sure as hell play a piano.

 

((In case anyone wanted to know, I changed Dust's backstory and such pretty drastically. Ya might want to look at that. Anyways I'm gonna get off for tonight. See you all... Whenever.))

Elipsis hesitated, she picked up a Violin and set sheet music up she began playing, she was doing great at the time, until, there was a really hard note approaching *should I bake and say I can't do it or just try. * she bites her lip and goes for it *SCREEEEEECH* she gasped loudly almost dropping the expensive instrument *what did I just do!!!???* she stood there still, she almost looked paralyzed. "Uhm...uh" she couldn't speak it felt like.

[Psych Ward 377]

Psych Ward was relieved that the flute and piano were both taken, the two instruments she actually played.  She only played her own flute anyways.

 

Jitter Bean erupted out of her seat and jumped up at the chimes.  She picked up two mallets and closed her eyes, quickly going into a joyous melody.

Whirl Wake took a deep breath. "Alright. Because, from some reason, many people seem to have formed this 'don't trust Whirl Wake' bandwagon." He smiled and looked back at her. "It's good to know that not everybody I know is like that" They began to approach the door to the music room, which seemed to produce an awful screeching sound just before they entered.

When Whirl opened the door there was screeching of a violin. It stopped after a moment or so. Starry silently trotted in and motioned Whirl to sit on the other side of her, because there really wasn't anywhere  else to sit. She sat in her spot before Pelate would start playing his flute.

Elipsis leaves the front without a word, leaving the violin on the floor. She was too embarrassed to speak, but she didn't leave the room because she wanted to have a little bit of pride, but it still hurt. Elipsis sat in her seat in the back with her head down.

I look around the wind instruments for a flute. ( that's all I can think of for now)

Whirl Wake walked over to sit in the one open seat next to Star. On the way, he looked over to the apparent teacher of the class. "Sorry I'm late." He groaned, putting little effort into the sentence. After sitting down he glanced around the room, searching for an instrument that he could possibly play. "So... What did I miss?" He whispered to the mare on his left.

Lilac Melody had a smile on her face the entire time, even through Elipsis' mistake. It happens. She seemed nervous as it was. Too bad. "Alright today isn't really a day to do much as this is the first day of classes and it seems class will be over soon. How did that happen? It seems like it just started hahaha! Today was more of a day for me to get to know you guys and vice versa. You may chat until class is over."

Blaze turned to Elipsis, who was sitting in the back with him. She had seemed pretty upset about what had happened. He felt a impulse to comfort her. He didn't like seeing ponies who were sad. "Hey you sounded good up there."

Light Eye trotted up to  Steeleye once class was over. "Herr Steeleye, are you okay? You seem rather put off, and the teacher's conduct," she glanced around and made sure Lilac Melody wasn't paying attention, "was extraordinarily rude. I think it was rather unfair, and this time there's really no excuse. Even if you two have had bad blood in prior seasons that doesn't excuse her calling you out in front of the class, no matter what you did!"

"no, i messed up, it was terrible..." she held back her tears and just kept a depressing strsight face, Elipsis doesnt play in front of crowds that much, but she usually does better than this. if her parents who always expect her to do perfectly at violin, would be furious. which frighted her in a way....

I look up "awww, dang it..." i say to my self. i go back and sit with Star. "sorry, didn't get up on time." i make an unamused face "guess I'll play for you some other time, i have my personal flute in my Dorm so i can play it anytime..." i shrug and give her a smile to lighten things up a bit.

I'm sure ponies who's talent is violin mess up now and then. Hell, I mess up my mechanic work sometimes. Okay maybe a little more than sometimes." He grinned. He was trying to lighten the mood.

Elipsis looked up "yea but if my cutie mark was something that made sense than I bet it would be that" she looks at the question mark on her flank "this one is just there to mock me, and I bet it's a curse, wouldn't be surprised if it was..." She rests her head on the desk with a blank face, not caring about really anything anymore.

Blaze opened his mouth to say something, but decided against it. She seemed pretty down, and he didn't want to make her more upset by making her talk about her cutie mark. He sighed and looked around. Bollocks. I shoulda just sat with Psych. Then I'd have someone to talk to. Blaze noticed what he was thinking about and sighed again. He could've easily sat next to Whirl Wake or Star or Pelate, but instead he had immediately thought of Psych. Maybe Whirl was right. Ah who am I kidding he definitely was right. Just hope I don't end up feeling awkward around her. He looked back over to Elipses. Gah. I should say somethin. "I... I'm sure.... You'll still...Nevermind." He sighed for the third time. Finally he just gave up on everything and put his head on his desk, waiting for the class to end.

Steeleye seemed to snap back into reality as far as his mental presence an aura went. It was an odd phenomena, his physical form still sitting there but somehow looking invisible all the same. "I... ah... um," Steeleye said quietly as his brain rebooted. "I've... perhaps it would be better to talk elsewhere... fraulein. I will explain." He got out of his seat and led the way out of the classroom in the general direction of the next class. "She, as you can probably tell, was my previous music teacher. Its an embarrassing story, but here I go: Frau Lilac Melody was... my first love you might say. Though that... didn't turn out well as you can see. My... lack of musical skill did not help me much. I tried to impress her with every instrument, but always failed miserably. She didn't mind that too much, at least I tried, you know? One thing I found that I -was- good at, as far as music goes, was composing it."

 

"So... I wrote her a symphony, worked two whole weeks on it. It may not sound like much but... I tend to finish books in a matter of hours, wrote a full length play in less than a day, and I spent every waking moment of those two weeks working on it. I had faked being sick in order to skip classes. I... well, lacked the courage to present it personally. So I left in her desk with a letter explaining how I felt about her. What happened next, I am not sure. Somepony... they replaced what I had given her with a menagerie of foul substances, rotting fruit and worse. My letter was replaced with a note that... I am not sure what was contained in it, but whatever it was hurt her feelings very badly and enraged her. From them on every time I met her was a living hell. My ignorance of what had happened only fueled her anger, as she thought I was 'playing dumb'. Eventually the issue became so bad that I was almost expelled. However the Head Dean pulled me out of her class and allowed me to continue my other classes, due to my achievements in other fields of knowledge. To this very day she still will not accept my apologies. Because I know I did not do any such thing to her, but she will not believe me."

 

Looking at the ground, he looked a little crestfallen. "It still bothers me. What romantic feelings I had have been crushed or faded a long time ago. But I still regret the fact that any pony, especially a teacher, would hate me so vehemently. There you have it, what do you think, Fraulein?" He looked at her sadly. It seemed he hoped that she would believe him, but was not expecting her to.

Elipsis looked at Blaze "let me guess you want to know about my cutie mark...to tell you the truth, I don't know...it's still unknown to me." She had an idea that she was sort of ruining His time "So...To talk about something else, What's your name? I never got your name"

Blaze was relieved that she wanted to talk. "I'm Blaze Finder. My mate's call me Blaze. And I wasn't gonna ask about your cutie mark, but I'd rather head towards a different subject to speak about." He smiled sincerely. He glanced at the clock. Class was going to end any moment. What was next? Art? Yea that sounded right.

Elipsis tries to think of something "S-so..."she tried hard but it took a little bit."what do you do? Like uhm, hobbies?" She asked stuttering, *that sounds right I guess...* "I like to do gardening sometimes, and I like helping other ponies" Elipsis said with a slight smile *though I mess up most of the time* she said under her breath looking away.

Blaze's analytic brain took over. He noticed how she was acting. Unsure of herself, low self-esteem and-

"Hey don't be so down on yourself. The stuff you like to do is generous. That's a good thing. I... I'm a mechanic to say the least. But I'm mostly a pyrotechnic. It's uh... my passion you could say. Most of the fur I have probably isn't even the original fur that was there, I've burned myself so many times. Anyway is there something else you like to do?"

Elipsis thought for a while "being with friends" * "uhm, though I don't have many friends, I still like to be with the ones I have" Elipsis licks her lips and thinks of another thing she likes to do. "also I like to cook sometimes, I'm not fantastic at it, but I still cook when I feel like it."

Blaze smiled. "Cooking huh? I might try that some time. I have a feeling I might be good at it."  He smiled and looked away from her. He looked at the clock again and realized that class was over. Lilac would be announcing it shortly...

 

"Okay everypony have a fantastic day! I can't wait for the next class!"

 

Blaze nodded to himself, then looked at Blaze. "And now you have another friend to hang out with." He winked to her and got up from his seat.

 

 

Dust and Remmy also got up. ((It's getting hard to write things for them  ))

Elipsis smiled back and got up at the sound of the teacher, "guess the next class is art, sounds fun" she walks with Blaze.

I look up at the teacher, "look like class is over Star, and next is art class! Yes!" I look at my cutie mark and back at Star and make an exited look "this will be so fun. Lets go" I walk for the door (I'm guessing Star is following?)

Whirl Wake got up, noticing that Remmy was in the class with him. "Hey Remmy!" He said to her, trotting to where she was. "I didn't know I had classes with you. How's it going?" He hadn't talked to her in a while, and he almost forgot about meeting her in the cafeteria the other day.

Remmy looked over to see Whirl Wake. "Oh hey! Yea I think all first years get the same classes. How are you?" She had a big smile on her face. She hadn't talked to anypony at all today. Finally she could actually use her voice. "Oh I can't wait til Botany. I wish it was next period instead of art!" Her talent had to do with plants, so it was natural that she was eager for her race-specific class. 

 

((Oh my god I just realized that I'm gonna have to control 3 teachers as well as my 3 characters when period 4 comes around. That should be interesting.))

"Well," she started, a bit hesitantly, thinking about it. "Yes, I can see how she would be upset. But that doesn't mean that she was justified in starting a personal crusade against you, or that it was right of her call you out in front of the class. Urgh. I'll just have to keep my head down in her class, lest I say something that I might regret." She as steamed about this and began walking to art class in the wrong direction.
