Hansel 1,512 July 11, 2013 Share July 11, 2013 I was looking through my work, and noticed that I hadn't really animated anything on four legs. A good excuse as any to try and animate a pony. As the titles says, this is just a line test. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SzpQ7QGbNGA There's a few things I'm not entirely pleased with. I'm especially not happy with the mane. If come back to ponies, I'll have to work on that. Also, she seems to kind of hit the side of the frame before going off-screen. I literally have no idea why, I was going through it frame by frame, and saw nothing out of place. It's animated in single cells (so many in-betweens ), as opposed to symbols and tweening like the show, so it can't really be a technical thing. I don't really know what I'm doing wrong there. Anyway, critique, slagging and bitching are all welcome. Compliments are too. 3 Pancakes taste like well seasoned DVD cases.
repsol rave 2,963 July 11, 2013 Share July 11, 2013 looks amazing! i still can't figure out how people are capable of doing these things... anyway, as far as constructive critisism, here's what i got: the hind legs do look a bit off IMO, but i can't really place what's off about it... also, if you can make the tip of the tail like bounce in a diffrent direction then the whole tail itself, i think the whole things becomes much more 'alive' looks amazing overall! keep on doing these things please My OC's: Roarke, Repsol and Crystal

Yeah, I agree, the tail could also use a bit more work. Perhaps I was being a bit lazy there. I can't quite see what's up with the hind legs, but I'll have a look at the individual frames with fresh eyes later and see if I can spot anything. Pancakes taste like well seasoned DVD cases. ReGen 1,466 July 11, 2013 Share July 11, 2013 Yup, the only thing that I can see off is the hind leg. Otherwise, it looks great! I still wonder how people can do that... it looks so hard. 1 "I keep the walking on the right side, but I won't judge the next who handles walking on the wrong. 'Cause that's how he wants to be. Jokuc 8,174 July 11, 2013 Share July 11, 2013 oh hey that looks awesome! How long did this take to make? But yeah, as you're saying the mane could be made better. Otherwise everything seems good to me!

Otherwise everything seems good to me! I'm not entirely sure actually. I didn't work on it from start to finish in a single sitting, I kinda kept leaving and coming back to it over the course of 3 days because I had other stuff to do. But I'd say a good few hours. Probably longer then it should have. Pancakes taste like well seasoned DVD cases.
ReverseFaller 2,484 July 11, 2013 Share July 11, 2013 Cute! I love it. That's a pretty good animation, it almost looks like it came right from the show itself. Besides the hind leg being a tad off it's perfect in my opinion. 1 Credit for the signature goes to Kyoshi
