How's it going every pony? I've been A brony for a 3 years-ish. I have thought about joining here and decided this is the right herd to horse around with(: My names Matthew but call me whatever you want honestly. I doodle somewhat but I am big into poetry, I have my own rendition of free verse, and have been thoroughly involve in music all my life. I'm going to be a sophomore in the fall and I'm on tumblr and twitter. If you have any questions, or ever need any pony to talk to, I'll be happy to talk.(: I'm super super excited to be here! It's gonna be a real Pinkie Party.

Well, I'm still getting use to everything, but ill be sure to put some poetry out there eventually. I've already got A tad bit on my pathetic deviant art:P As for music, I play Many instruments, and try my best to write music but am not the best at it. Some classes I'm taking in the future should help with that though^.^ Thanks for replying!

So your in college taking it or something, or do you have the class at your highschool o.o.

 

I only play trumpet well, I have an acoustic guitar I tried to learn but lost interest in kinda. I have a keyboard I'm trying to learn aswell, but I haven't made a lot of progress since I'm not totally sure what to practice partly :P.

 

And your welcome, everyone deserves a little welcome :).

Wow, you make me sound like a really crappy musician in comparison xD. You've been teaching yourself since 4? I don't even know if I could spell music when I was 4 xD.

 

We don't really have a whole lot of music related classes at our highschool, just matching band and concert band, and a piano class(which hardly gets any students it seems) were possibly starting a jazz band next year, but yeah.

 

I use to take private lessons for a year, but we had to quit afterwards when we moved and stuff.

 

Anyways sounds like your quite a talented individual. :)

Well I started piano lessons at 4, self teaching didn't come til 3rd grade with ocarina and flute.

But I still have much to learn, although your compliments do flatter me so.(: I'm sure you are a wonderful trumpet player. And this might just be the only thing I'm good at, so it's fair enough.

My school as of now offers a marching band and concert band, as well as a strings (which I will be attending in the fall). Also, piano, guitar, wind ensemble, percussion ensemble, music theory (AP) and they team up with some county orchestra and ensemble businesses to put willing students in small quartets or in the county orchestra.

Also, I feel as though my psychology classes will help, somewhat. If I can manage to gather any information on how music affects the brain, any at all, I can help do what I believe is something only great music can do. Which is carry emotions, and inflict them on other people. So I'm hoping I can learn some about such matters, if not, I'll just have to be a egghead like Twilight and read up on the subject.

The creator Is my best friend so you damn well better enjoy it xD. He put a lot of time into making this a safe haven for bronies like yourself (and the mods, they're cool too.) Hope you stay.
