Caprisha smiled. "Thank you once again kind gentlecolt." She walked into the room and over to Charcoal's bed and saw that Charcoal was still asleep, but she didn't have her new foal with her. Caprisha figured it was taken by the doctor's for a check up. Until she saw a note. She picked up the note in her magic. What was written on it caused her to drop the note and get a face of pure horror.

"Aww, she's so cute when she's sleeping, isn't she?" Thunder said, not taking notice of the letter or Caprisha who had been reading it. But then he turned around and saw Caprisha standing with a horrified expression on her face. "Prish? What's wrong? What's that note?"

Caprisha took the note and floated it over to Thunder without saying a word. It was a note saying somepony had taken Thunders new daughter and didn't have a lot of motivation to return her to the two of them. She took a step back, waiting for the Thunder bomb to go off.

Charcoal suddenly jerked awake on Thunder's back. He was walking them somewhere. "Hey Thunder. Where are we going?" Charcoal asked.

Caprisha was doing her best to catch up to the raging Pegasus, but it wasn't easy with her belly so swelled. She did catch up though and powered walked behind Thunder.

Thunder remained silent as he walked further out of the town. He ignored Charcoal and Caprisha completely. They walked past the motel at the edge of the city. The same motel as where Thunder and Charcoal had spent their first months in Valkyrie Town.

Caprisha remained silent as well. She didn't want to say anything and she felt the news she be broken to Charcoal by the one she loves. That and she didn't really want to have to talk about it any.

"Really Thunder, where are you taking me?" Charcoal asked once again.

Charcoal sighed and stopped trying to ask questions. She just layed there on Thunders back waiting for him to calm down enough to explain to her what was going on and why he was so upset... and maybe why he was stomping on the ground hard enough to crack the concrete.

Charcoal got off of Thunder and sat down beside him and placed his head on her lap. She then began stroking his mane. "Hey, you going to be alright?" Charcoal asked. She wasn't too worried abouts Thunder, he had survived the military after all and with just a little bit of rest would hopefully be fine.

"Thunder, please tell me what's wrong. Why did you drag me all the way out here? Did something happen?" Charcoal asked. She was starting to worry. She didn't see Thunder cry very often, only in situations that are dire or just that painful does he ever shed a tear.

"I" Thunder started. "I don't know." Thunder said as he laid his head off of Charcoal's lap, laying face down in the cold desert sand. It was dark and the stars were shining, but Thunder didn't see them, he only saw sand and little bugs that lived in the sand. Stuff.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Charcoal asked. Now she was really worried, something bad must have happened for Thunder to act like this. "Tell me what happened. Why is it I fall asleep then when I wake up I find you taking me into the middle of the desert."

Thunder turned around, facing the sky full of stars. "Caprisha. You tell her. I don't have the guts." He said, bursting out in tears again. The sand around him began to become muddy from Thunders tears. He closed his eyes and brought his hooves onto his face.

Caprisha nodded. She turned to Charcoal. "We came to the hospital earlier this morning. Both you and your new filly were asleep. We went downstairs to get some coffee. When we came back upstairs your foal was gone and there was this note." Caprisha brought out the note for Charcoal to read.

Charcoal took the note and read it. She had the same reaction Caprisha did and dropped the note in horror. She felt tears begin to form. Then she began crying into Thunders chest.

"No." Caprisha said firmly. "I don't know what you plan on doing Thunder, but you aren't leaving both of us out here in the middle of nowhere so you can go off and do something stupid. We are family. Maybe not officially, but we are family and we need to stick together."

Caprisha didn't think. She followed Thunder without a second thought. Charcoal would have normally stayed, but she didn't want to stay in the middle of the desert all alone. so she also followed along beside Thunder and Caprisha so she wouldn't be left alone.

Caprisha sat beside Thunder and lit a cigarette for herself as well. She could understand why Thunder needed a good smoke right now. Even if it wasn't her foal she was still quite upset about it.

"You... Shouldn't smoke." Thunder said to Caprisha. He didn't sound very interested, but he said it anyway. He then stood up and walked away, holding the cigarette in his mouth as he walked down the streets of Valkyrie. It was late and therefor not very busy.
