renat 4 July 27, 2013 Share July 27, 2013 (edited) Hi everybody. Sorry for my English beforehand, it's not my native language. I have just started to re-watch all of MLP series, and straight in first episode I have listened an awesome background track at 02:38, that I've never heard before (it sounds weird, but it is so). I have cutted it from the audiotrack of the episode, and here it is: MLP - FiM 1x01 - Twilight Running into Library.mp3It lasts only for 15 seconds, but it's so awesome, that I can't believe that it ends just like this. Maybe there is an extended version of this track or some remix etc.? I tried to google it, downloaded BGM collections, but I can't find it anywhere. I am almost sure that it's only 15 sec background track, but the hope doesn't die Edited July 27, 2013 by renat
akalink 163 July 28, 2013 Share July 28, 2013 That is a technique called liet motif. Its where you take a musical idea and use it other places to evoke certain emotions. I don't know if that is before or after the opening credits, but its pretty smart to use the mlp theme as kids will already know it from the toy commercials. I actually like scoring stuff myself. Do you mind listening to my re-score of The Cutie Mark Chronicles Filly Twilight Scene http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4gABwgxY94
CT-1138 3,182 July 28, 2013 Share July 28, 2013 (edited) LOL I always thought it was awesome that they used the electric guitar to play the my little pony theme, and kinda wish they did that more often through the test of the series. I always took it as the first hint of the show's awesomeness. Scootalove 10,689 July 28, 2013 Share July 28, 2013 I never really payed attention to the background music in the first episode, I guess the show became awesome with the background music. Credit: Moony © Forum FAQ Forum Rules
Ihei 713 July 28, 2013 Share July 28, 2013 Wow. I just now noticed that, but where have I heard that from? I think I heard it in generation 3. But it's still a pretty good track.. :
renat 4 July 28, 2013 Author Share July 28, 2013 (edited) Did that track (or its previous versions) appear in G1-G3? oOYou all are talking "MLP theme" about it, but I cannot see anything common between it and G4 opening theme. So, its appearance in earlier MLP generations is the only way I can explain this track's recognition by yourselves Am I right? If I am, can anybody give me an external link to the episode which contains it (I am not early generations' fan)? Thanks a lot beforehand.
