The Trotting Dead RP

Two buck and thirty three hundred Newtons of shear amount of force generated from his hind hooves and legs' muscle, enough to gain the attention of a small group of 'trotters' and luckily not enough to pick up the attention of any 'trotters' for more than six meters away giving the survivors some room to breathe and Ink Drop himself not too many 'trotters' to handle. 

 

Unfortunately, the bandits were still in pursuit and armed with their makeshift explosive armaments, which had a quite devastating rate of destruction. Ink Drop, began picking up three shattered concrete pieces that had edges that were sharp enough and volume large enough to break the cranium and through the reanimated brain. After a brief preparation for battle was made, instead of using the stairs leading inside the building, he used the fire escape on the side of the building that led him to an alley, thus disappearing from the eyesight of the survivors for a short time.

Grand looked around "Icy?" she called, seeing nothing but two hooves on the side of the boat. She pulled herself over to the side, grabbing the pair of hooves and heaving them inside. 'Icy, are you alright?" Grand said, legs immobile. She clenched her teeth and turned around, pulling the arrow out of her leg. "Might I ask for a hand here?: Grand asked, struggling to get her good leg to work again.

Stephan ran to Grand and helped her pull Icy into the boat. He noticed the arrow in Grand's leg and he slightly lowered his head. First, he had to make her a mechanical leg to replace the one that was cut off back in Appleoosa. Now, she was pretty much immobilized. He felt a bit guilty. He felt like he was letting all of this happen. Regardless, the two pulled Icy into the boat. "Don't worry, Icy. You'll be okay." He said, assuringly.

"Ill be fine, I promise this one wont need to be cut off" she said, trying to lighten the mood. "Is everyone here? It seems Josh might have some work to do. Where is he?" she said, looking around for him. "oh... no" she said, looking frantically. "Josh!" SHe called out, hoping for an answer."Please tell me he made it" she said, her eyes getting wet

Last flight of stairs and one ladder leading down to the paved concrete ground. But he did not jump, although that there was a dumpster right beside the fire-escape, since he had his own guide on helping him to survive at any moment and that was, 'don't risk it...' or 'go with it' -- in some cases. Those two simple three word sentences -- actually there are more -- and so, doing it by his rules, he safely reached the ground safely and just in time to react to the first 'trotter' as it engaged him into a close quarters battle. 

 

Ink Drop used one of the three concrete piece and jammed it easily to the first trotter's head; right through the white-out eyeball, rendering it to explode, squirting out clear bodily liquid and slowly mixed with the blood that was beginning to flow out of the open wound. He actually killed the brain thus permanently killed the trotter. Two concrete slat pieces left, and six more trotters.

Stephan lowered his head. "Josh is dead, Grand. He was shot by the bandits and died." Stephan slammed his hoof on the side of the interior of the yacht. "I can't believe it. I couldn't save him. We couldn't save him." Stephan turned to the group. "We have to end this. We need avenge all the ponies that died at the hooves of the trotters." Stephan said, with a slight sense of anger in his voice.

Now that everyone was in the boat, they had to leave, immediately, although this was as fast as it went.

Fire Horn pulled the arrows out of his shoulder and right foreleg. Missy's wing was injured quite badly, Fire Horn went down to the inside of the boat to check for medical supplies.

Grand closed her eyes and took a deep breath. "We need to find this cure" Grand said with a shaky voice. Josh had been with her since the beginning. It was heartbreaking. "For Josh. We can find it, we WILL find it"| she said, grabbing onto the balcony and pulling herself up. She stood on her injured leg and clenched her teeth. The pain was almost intolerable, but she managed to shamble all the way to the steering wheel of the boat. "Which way are we going" she called out, vengeance in her voice

"We'll be headed east, Bruchellia is to the east, hopefully we find some form of civilization that wasn't turned into Trotters and doesn't want to kill us." Fire Horn said. "Luckily, there's some medical supplies down here, we're going to need them."
Missy was poking at the hole in her wing, it wasn't as bad as it looked but it was still bleeding.

Stephan was ready to tackle Bruchellia head-first. He walked out to the deck of the yacht and thought about everything that he went through in the past decade or so. This has easily been his longest, toughest, and most emotional adventure he ever went on. All the suffering was nearly over, and Stephan took in a breath of fresh air and looked out to the sea.

Grand nodded her head and turned the ship to the east, following the compass. She cringed and sat down on the ground, examining the arrow wound. Yup, right below the knee, She wouldnt be walking comfortably for a few days in the least. She sat apart from the group, saddened by their recent loss

((In some cases only by applying the laws of physics, he's actually a writer, just read his background here Ink Drop) 

 

Since there was no way in handling all six trotters in a such tight quarters; not even laws of physics could help bail him out this time. And so, his final decision was to run, flee the scene, however, he needed to keep in mind that he couldn't lead the trotters back to the main designated conflict zone which was mainly where the survivors were. 

 

Stuck, unable to maneuver freely without risking his own life, he came to a hard time thinking of a way out while he slowly backed away from the advancing trotters which were eight feet away from him -- trying to anticipate any sudden move and try not to provoke a high speed engagement.

 

"Alright, think,think, think... be authentic, be realistic, what would your character do?" he muttered between his teeth, until suddenly his eyes panned to a stack of boxes and a gate that both of them were just lying there the whole time.

 

"Oh! How could I be so stupid!" from muttering, he quickly raised the volume of his voice speaking out out loud, while his eyes rolled from corner to corner of both of his eyes, "dumpster... then, up, straight, down, dash quickly, right... YES!!!" and finally in the end of his sentence he gave a rather booming shout.

 

And just like he said, he ran up towards the dumpster and automatically provoked the trotters to run up to him causing them to pick up speed hence gaining an excessive few feet away from his direction^[1]  then he went up to the dumpster, rushed along the dumpster's surface, hopped down dashed through and in purpose as he dashed, he knocked the stack of boxes making a obstruction to the path then quickly closed the gate. 

 

Seeing that the survivors had already set sail, he felt a little calm inside of him; an achievement, that he had succeeded in helping them escape. Then he said to himself, "Like all stories, the characters' path will someday crossed with each other again."

 

He noticed that the lifeless body of one of the survivors was lying on the paved road, he felt a bit of a sympathy and he decided to give him a proper burial. He put the pony's dead body on his back and continued went south west where the area was much saver and make a burial there.

Stephan saw Grand sitting by her lonesome. He walked to her and sat by her. He put his hoof on her shoulder. "Josh died honorably. I still wish we could've gotten him out of there, too." He lightly clenched Grand's hoof. "We'll get through this and avenge him. And he'll be smile down upon us all the way."

Grand sighed "I know. Its just... We havent even made it to Bruchellia and we have already lost someone we all needed desperately. I can only imagine how much worse it will be when we get there. Without Josh we dont have anyone who excels in healing." she said, looking down at the ground. "As soon as my leg is better I'll learn as much as I can about the plants and herbs there. Its the least I can do." she said, vowing to herself she would learn how to heal

Fire Horn came up from the other part of the boat with bandages and various other medical gear.

"Well, now's a good time to start." Fire Horn said, gesturing for Missy to come over. "Fold your wing and tense it up." Missy did just that.

"It's over to you now, i'll take care of Starburst."

Missy had a couple other scratches and grazes from where arrows hit her.

Grand watched Fire horn from where she was sitting intently. "I promise I'll learn as much as i can" she said, trying to stand up again. She managed to hobble herself over to where they were, but her leg gave out from under her once she got there. :mind if I help with that" she said, ignoring the pain in her leg

Missy decided to strike up a conversation with Grand.

"Sorry about this, i'd do it myself but i can't bandage my wing, even with my magic." Missy said. "I think Starburst had some healing crystals, if you want i could heal your leg after you're finished."

 

Fire Horn sat next to Starburst, he was breathing at a steady pace, it must just have been a shock for him.

Stephan nodded and stood up. "You can do anything, Grand. I know you can." He walked back outside and looked out into the sea.

Soon enough, Stephan got enough of the outside and he went and sat down with Fire and Starburst. "Looks like Missy took quite a bit of punishment."

Grand hesitated. She had never done anything medical before. "Ill try my best" she said, grabbing a bandage from nearby and slowly but gently, started to bandage the wing. "just let me know if I'm hurting you" she said softly, concentrating on the wrapping. She finished and tied it up. "there, that should suffice until I learn how to do this sort of thing better"

"Yeah, i think it best to just let Grand and Missy talk for a while." Fire Horn said. "Lucky Starburst wasn't hurt that much, i'd rather he not get hurt at all, but it's just the best i can do. I didn't even want them coming with us in the first place." Starburst woke up slowly, his head hurt and he was in a small amount of pain.
"Dad, what happened, is everypony okay?" Starburst asked.

 

(Have some character bonding with Missy. That'll take up some time.)

Stephan nodded. "Everypony is going to be fine, Starburst. I promise." He looked at Fire. "Oh, quit worrying, dude. We'll all get through this. I'll make sure we do." He left Fire and Starburst alone and went to talk with Missy. "That wing looks pretty bad. Are you doing fine?" Stephan asked, looking at her damaged wing.

Grand sat down next to missy and began wrapping her leg so it wouldnt get infected. "Im terribly sorry about you and your son. I'm glad you arent hurt too bad. I suppose we never really realized how awful this trip would be. We arent even there yet and we've lost a crucial member of your group" she said, closing her eyes

"I'm alright, though i've been inside the walls of Canterlot for the last 9 years, i never realized how bad it would be." Missy said to Ghost. "I'm very sorry about him, i barely knew him and he died. I should've used a force-field or something, how could i have been so stupid?!" Missy's leg twitched. "Ow."

 

"Somepony died didn't they?" Starburst asked.

"Yes, it was Josh, he died when we were attacked. The reason you're OK is because your mum took most of the damage that would've hurt you." Fire Horn said. "But that's our job, to make sure you're safe."

Stephan helped keep her steady and he tried to smile assuringly. "Welcome to my world, Missy. It's the world of adventure. Sure, it can be painful and scary, but we need to push through. Josh would want us to keep going." Stephan tried to imagine Josh up in a better place. And in that better place, he was smiling down upon the group, watching them persevere.

"Um actually I can do healing" said Icy was she dusted herself off

"My healing uses Ice and water. I can use the ice to seal off the wound and since our bodies are mainly water. I use water to mend parts of the body"

"But there is one drawback. One is that is very cold and with somepony near death they can't be cold or could die. I am used to being cold so I can freeze my body and heal myself without worrying about killing myself with my own healing magic." Icy looked at grands leg. It looked bad, but nothing her magic could fix.

"I can heal it for you, but you will feel cold and a little stiff"
