Caramel looked at him, teary eyed. "No... You can make it through this. I promise! You'll be fine, you will" She said in a shaky voice. She held onto his hoof tightly, praying that he would somehow make it out of it alive. "You cant... You cant die!" She said, looking into his eyes

"Caramel.... you were the best thing that ever came into my life, the four months we were together made my life complete." Starburst started coughing again, this time coughing blood. "Now, there's not much time so we'll have to skip the good-bye, but there's one thing I've always wanted....needed to tell you. He reached for Caramel and whispered in her ear.

 

"I.... love.... you."

 

Starburst gave Caramel one last kiss before he slowly fell to the ground, his head tilted to the side, and he died.

 

(His eyes are still open.)

Ghost took down one of the bandits and took their dual micro SMG's. He began shooting the bandits like a madman.

"Die, motherfuckers! Die!" He made sure he left nopony standing. Within moments, he cleared the whole area of the bandits. He then dropped the guns and fell to the floor.

"Finally... justice is served..."

Caramel sobbed. Her body was racked with tears. She managed to close Starbursts eyes before being completely overcome with tears. She clung to him, refusing to let go. "No...no.. NO NO NO" She screamed, crying into his still warm body. "You cant leave me..." She whimpered quietly as she burrowed her face into his stomach

 

Grands eyes were teary, but she held it together. What hurt more than anything was seeing her sisters entire world come crashing apart.

Missy was crying into Fire, she couldn't bear the sight of Starburst, dead again.... it was too much for her to deal with. Fire thought about their situation, Fire wanted their old world back, but there would be no way of getting it back, not now.

The only thing Missy could do was walk over to Caramel and put her hoof on her shoulder.

"Why did this happen" She said quietly, holding him tightly. "Why would they do this..." Caramel whimpered, now coated in blood.

 

Grands ears pricked up when she thought she heard a bandit. She walked over to Stephan. "We cant stay here, We need to find somewhere safe" She said quietly. Suddenly she remembered. "Zeta's still back at the hospital, we need to go get him before we do anything"

@@Grand_Finale, Ghost transported back outside the wall.

"Guys I cleared the area-" He looked down to notice Starburst lying down on the ground, dead. "...Oh no..." Ghost took off his mask and knelt down to Starburst.

He then looked over at Grand. "I failed, Grand. I failed to keep the kid safe." He began walking towards the hospital with his head hung. "Let's just go get Zeta. I'm done with all of this."

There was something on his saddlebag, it was now covered in blood, but Missy opened it, a letter fell out. Missy picked it up, it said on the front.

 

In the event of my death, make

sure this reaches Caramel Corn.

 

Missy handed the letter to her.

"This is for you." Missy said shakily.

Caramel looked up at her with red teary eyes and gently took the envelope from her. Her hooves were covered in blood but she didnt care. She opened it up carefully and took out the letter, being careful not to get blood on it, and she began reading

 

Grand followed behind him. "It was inevitable Stephan. What were we to do in a situation like that? Those bandits were heartless and wretched souls, all we can do is give Starburst the burial he deserves. We wont even give those bandits another look"

This is how the letter reads.

 

Celestia knows I don't want to write this but if it gives you any kind of closure, then

that's fine with me, I want to believe you still remember me, if you do, you'll remember 

the times we spent together, the night we met, I told you that you were under my 

protection, if I died, protecting you, I don't want you to feel guilty in any way, shape 

or form, just continue with your life, mourn my death, but don't let it consume you.

 

I love you, just know that.

"Well, we won't have to deal with them anymore, since I just shot every single one of them in sight." As the two walked through the city, the dead bodies of the bandits lied before them. "I can't believe I did this. I-I never killed anypony that wan't undead before. I don't care at this point. They deserved every bullet I put through their bodies."

Caramel read the letter with tears in her eyes. "Its not fair... There has to be something we can do! We have to do something! Cant we go back in time and fix this? cant we do something?" She cried

 

Grand nodded. "For all I care, those bandits were the undead. heartless and cruel with no sense of right and wrong" She said as they made their way to the hospital

 "I just can't believe what they've done. First, they trick Caramel into giving her the medication of death, they rape Missy multiple times for the past few months, and now, they kill Starburst." The two came up to the bandit leader, who was still alive and tied to the ground. "Not so high and mighty now, are we?" He asked with a laugh.

Grand walked past the bandit without even looking at him. "Lets get Zeta and leave. Ive spent the last four months trapped in this hospital, acting as a slave for these men. I never want to see these walls again" She said harshly, feeling sick at the sight of the hospital.

Zeta was in the hospital, sleeping through most of had happened. He awoke with a little surprise, feeling something bad had just gone on below and was wondering what had happened.

The lights were off, and the place seemed empty now. There was no sign of anypony in the building since usually there were bandits groaning within, so he was a little curious.

"I'm sorry, I don't know if that would even be possible, Starburst was the only one powerful enough besides me that could use a spell like that, but I can't do it either, I'm pregnant." Missy said sadly. "I know it's not what you wanted to hear, but we can try something."
 

The bandit leader laughed. "You don't want to kill me, I know where Twilight Sparkle is, your only chance of getting back your old life."

 Ghost busted down the doors of the hospital and walked inside. The whole places was black as night and their was nopony to hear. The two went up a couple flights of stairs and went into Zeta's room, where he was still in his bed.

"Zeta, see if you can get up. We're getting out of here." He said.

Caramel nodded sadly. "I...its was a dumb idea... He's gone" She said sadly, her sobs turning into soft whimpers now. "We should just... do what we can now"

 

Grand turned back to the bandit. "You couldnt contain Ms. Sparkle, she could easily escape. Your bluffing" She said, looking at the bandit with hate filled eyes.

 Ghost busted down the doors of the hospital and walked inside. The whole places was black as night and their was nopony to hear. The two went up a couple flights of stairs and went into Zeta's room, where he was still in his bed.

"Zeta, see if you can get up. We're getting out of here." He said.

"Mmmnn..?" Zeta said, still wrapped up in casts and stuff. He pointed to a folded up wheelchair in his room and tried to signal it to come over here like a crazy pony. "All but a few bones are broken in my body, Stephan.. This is the only way I can move now."

 

(( and FML I have to leave for another 5 hours or so again. ))

Ghost grabbed the barely visible wheelchair in the dark and pushed it over to Zeta. He then tried to put Zeta into it.

"There are no more bandits left to be seen in the area. We shot them all down and we're going to interrogate the leader." He pushed Zeta out of the hospital and to the bandit leader. "Now, where were we? Hm... Oh yeah. You were going to tell me where Twilight was."

"I wish we could bring him back but there's nothing that can be done now. He loved you, and that's all that matters in the end." Missy said, getting up. "I'm sorry, but we have to bury him, it's what has to be done, say your goodbyes, then we have to do it." Missy walked away, more damage had been done to Caramel than had been done to Missy, she needed time with Starburst. To say goodbye.

 

"I don't believe I was going to tell you anything." The bandit leader said in a sarcastic tone. "I believe I was saying how I know where she is, and you don't."

"Look around you. You're whole gang is dead. We won, you lost. The only thing left to spare of this miserable excuse for a group of ponies is you." He cocked the gun and pointed it towards the leader's head. "So, if I were you, I'd start talking." He said in a serious tone.

Caramel took a wavering breath and folded up the letter neatly. She sat quietly by Starburst. She just sat in silence for a while. Then she lightly kissed him on the cheek and whispered "I love you too" In his ear before standing up, taking a deep breath, and walking away

 

Grand glared at the bandit, "Youve had your fun, now talk. Its the least you could do for what youve done to us"

Missy simply put her hoof on Caramel's shoulder as she walked by, then she nodded to Fire.

He started levitating a rectangle of dirt out of the ground and placed it to the side. He then levitated Starburst's body over to him.

"We'll always remember you." Fire said, putting his head to Starburst's. He then placed Starburst in the hole and put the dirt over him.

It was a crude burial but they didn't have any other choice."
 

"Now, why in Equestria would I just tell you where she is, then you'd kill me right here." The bandit leader coughed. "Look, we're both reasonable stallions, don't kill me, and I'll tell you."

Caramel sighed and sat down as she couldnt walk for too long. "Now what? The town is destroyed, everyones either dead or left, and we have nowhere to go"

 

Grand glared at the bandit. "fine. What do you want? We have nothing to offer you anymore, so what will make you tell us?"
