  1. Just cause bump <3 I upgraded my comp, either that or is in the process of upgrading. Mainly it'll be upgraded. Yeah. >w< Specs~ Case: NZXT Phantom 240 black Processor: Intel i7 4820k @ 3.7 ghz (( Optional )) Aftermarket cooler: Cooler master Hyper 212 EVO Motherboard: ASUS Sabertooth x79 Graphics card: HIS Radeon HD 6950 2GB RAM: 8GB Team Zeus DDR3 2133 (( running 1866 )) Storage: Apotop 128gb SSD boot, 500GB WD Blue storage PSU: Corsair CX600 watt power supply owo <3 First time going intel ever. I feels the happy when I spent like $630 for the new processor, -used- mobo, new ssd, new CPU cooler, and new case~ Also note, it's not that I don't like AMD, cause that's what I switched from.. I just wanted to try something new :3 I plan to give my spare bits possibly away to someone in need. Mainly case, and both processor/mobo.
  2. ^^^ that's a good feature, cause there is so many things i've actually missed and wanted to go back to see again.. >w< Well of course it is~ Both the Radeon R9 280 and Gtx 760 are pretty much great cards, better then mine too x3
  3. Ah >w< You'd be one of the few who actually use that kind of stuff to be honest. Nyutin bad about that, I just sometimes prefer looking over Gfx cards (( especially AMD Radeon ones )) because most people will overlook them. Back before the gtx 980 and 970 came out, the Radeon R9 280 was against the Gtx 760 (( still is techncially )). Most people went with the 760, I dunno why, because technically the R9 280 is faster.. Gimmicks about quality and the usual Intel/Nvidia thing? Anyways.. Today they're pretty much the same price, occasionally you'll find a gtx 760 or R9 280 that's priced a little lower, though depending on how much you really do pay for it, i'd choose one or the other now.
  4. Ah, gocha >w< Was it a rebate card or just flat out rebate? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131545&cm_re=R9_270-_-14-131-545-_-Product <-- is also $110 currently, which may be a steal, though to be completely honest, I look towards ebay first for a graphics card >w< I bought my Radeon HD 6950 for $75 there.
  5. Someone finally shares an interest in Deepcool's Tesseract and how that case is most likely the best bang for the buck. <3 Though why the gtx 750 ti? I looked at the one, seems like $159.99 but $139.99 with rebate (card?). It's been a bit though, so prices may have changed. Basically saying, I found a PowerColor Radeon R9 270 for the same price and it generally performs better then the gtx 750 ti.
  6. *nodnods* Ahh, okay. R9 280's a better GPU then the GTX 760 by a little bit, costs the same as the R9 270x which is unusual, but either or works >w< I prefer to get the best out of my system though, which is why I always check price to performance, always. Tis why I got my Radeon HD 6950 at like, $75 bucks used. Tis a bossing outdated GPU at a kickass price which rips games apart better then my R7 260x <3
  7. Oh pfft, runs like a breeze. Just saying, Sims 3 doesn't take that much juice to run. Your old computer just had very outdated and weak specs. And being a very big AMD fan, I know my stuff when I say that it can run that game. Heck it can run a bunch of other games too at much higher settings as well. Though I wouldn't have gone for that specific Radeon GPU, that's still an alright choice to buy for its money.
  8. Very accurate actually. I've studied my wattage with different items as well, and that should be about as much as it should pull since both the intel part and the nvidia maxwell part are quite good power savers. That being said, may never know if you'd switch out the graphics card to something like 2 Gtx 760's or so >w< Then it'll pull about 400 or so i'd believe including processor. In the meantime, I might as well post my own specs, since i've updated my GPU <3 Case: Sentey Optimus GS-6000 mid tower case, with +1 fan on the bottom added. Processor: AMD Athlon x4 740 processor, clocked at 3.2 ghz Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty FM2-A88x Killer Graphics Card: HIS Radeon HD 6950 2GB (( Replaced 2 Radeon R7 260x's by Gigabyte, rarely used both of them at the same time, so I upgraded )) RAM: Team Zeus 8GB DDR3 2133 (( Running at 1866 )) Hard Drive: Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM hard drive Power Supply: Corsair CX 600 power supply. Roughly i'm thinking that it draws about 350 watts of power since the processor takes little juice, on the other hoof, the 6950 takes about ~250 watts to run it at full. If I end up getting a new computer, i'd probably move the GPU over to it to give it a bit more headroom for performance.
  9. Old post, but do you know how much power that thing is taking? >w< If you don't, try to guess what ya think~

    request r63 my OC

Rawr... -w- And I forget how to show it.. I dun wanna on this thread, maybe somewhere else like PM? But idk how to do it on pm... >w>

    request r63 my OC

owo *steals you* I don't cant draw r63, but I have this OC... She's sorta, dead, but not dead, and dis reminded me of her. Maybe you could... See her? owo
  12. question you have a laptop? And what's the 'planned' specs? I mean, is it gonna go into your computer now? Do you have a desktop?
  13. Rawr, birthday.. <3 ^w^

    1. Digiral

      Digiral

      Hey, Happy Birthday :D

      wish you the best :3

  14. I needs me one of these bad boys. >w< http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814105005&cm_re=amd_firepro_s10000-_-14-105-005-_-Product Or hell, get four of these. <3 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814195129&cm_re=amd_firepro-_-14-195-129-_-Product
  15. Dat titan tho Speaking of which, the new Titan-Z looks quite depressing if you ask me.
  16. >:3 Blow the CPU to bits! And okaies, that's cool~ Since i'm gonna be using the Sempron quad core, i'm not using the iGPU and instead will be putting in an HD 6450 i'm currently not using. It's an alright base graphics card, so it should at least be alright.
  17. Ah, okay~ And go ahead and beat the crap out of the Sempron :3 Put a water cooling unit in with a good motherboard to support overclocking and run it like crazy! <3 Also how is the Athlon working for you?
  18. Yeah, heh ;3 And it's not exactly slow in terms of CPU performance either to build one now with one of the Kabini AMD's. It's just cheap to make the processors since it's gotten efficient, that's all. Still wanna get the Sempron though, since it's a bit cheaper. But I also wanna tell people that I have a Sempron, since the most known one was the 145 Sargas I think. But it's not a Sargas >:3
  19. It's kay, take your time :3 But aint it lovely now that you can build such a cheap PC, mainly just get the AM1 CPU/Mobo/Case and then pick up everything else you have left over?
  20. Heh, okay. Well how about testing League of Legends? x3 The build I was planning out to do (( which I recently changed since a new bundle came out )) was going to possibly run a few games on there, but nothing too crazy. Mainly older games, but I think the 6450 can handle that. Do you think you can test it out with the HD 8400 in the AMD Athlon?
  21. Hey! I was gonna do something similar like that too~ It was about $178 bucks or so since my friend was gonna pitch in his hard drive and I was gonna pitch in my spare graphics card. Case was a Cooler master elite 120 white, with 4GB of RAM and all that cool stuff. It had a biostar motherboard with the AMD Sempron quad core. :3 Fun stuff.
  22. Just because this thread is a little old, i'm going to be bumping it a bit with my custom PC. Case: Sentey Optimus GS-6000 Mid tower Processor: AMD Athlon x4 740 @ 3.2 ghz Motherboard: ASRock Fatal1ty a88x Killer Graphics card: Gigabyte Windforce R7 260x 2GB overclocked to 1225 mhz RAM: 8GB DDR3 2133 Team Zeus Yellow, running @ 1866 currently PSU: Corsair CX 600, 600 watt power supply HDD: WD Blue 500GB 7200RPM :3 Planning to upgrade. CPU: AMD Athlon x4 760k overclocked to 4.5 ghz from original 3.8 Cooling: Silverstone Argon AR02 CPU cooler (( may change )) GPU: R7 260x 2GB Crossfire, basically a second card :3 Here's what the computer looks like now. (( first picture is old, and the GPU was moved to the upper PCI-E 3.0 slot ))
  23. I think of names from the things around me, mainly from video games or shows :3 Recently I helped a friend name his two characters, Heilos Wave, and Seras Kale. Heilos came from the Heilos one power thingy-majigger from Fallout New Vegas and Seras came from Seras on Hellsing Ultimate x3
