"The location of Twilight Sparkle in exchange for my life. That's all I ask of you." The bandit leader said. "You don't have to free me, just don't kill me."

 

"We wait for the others, then we live our lives from there, we did it before, we can do it now." Missy walked over to Caramel and sat down. "Life will be difficult, but we'll survive, we always do."

Grand looked at Stephan, "Your decision, but be quick. Ive been in this prison long enough" She sighed, turning her attention back to the Bandit

 

Caramel sniffed. "Not all of us" She mumbled, picking at the ground. "If you think about it, most of us should be dead. I should have been dead a long time ago if it wasnt for you, you would be dead if our timeline didnt change, Starburst.... Starburst should have been dead already.

"Alright, I will tell you. The others are keeping her locked up in the old nuclear reactor, the place is heavily guarded, you likely won't get in unscathed." The bandit leader said. "Can I go now?"

 

Missy couldn't reply to that, she just looked away and started tearing up.

Grand looked at Stephan. "The two of us should go. Caramels too sick, I cant bear to make Missy or Fire do anything after losing their son, and Zeta is in no shape to fight. We can do it, but I think we should wait until tomorrow, I'm running on fumes as it is" She said, realizing how exhausted she still was.

 

Caramel realized what she said may have been rude. "Im sorry, I didnt mean to say anything mean, I'm just saying up to now we have been pretty lucky, maybe it can happen one more time"

"Thank you kindly." Ghost kept his word untied the bandit leader. "Now pack up whatever possetions you have left and get out of here. You make me sick to my stomach." He then turned to Grand. "We need to get to Twilight as soon as possible. We'll rest up for a bit and then we'll head out." He began walking out of the city with Grand and Zeta and heading back to the the others.

"I guess we're all dead in the end anyway." Missy kept staring at Starburst's make-shift grave, Fire walked over to her.

"It's done, the others should be back by now." Fire said.

Missy looked over at Caramel and put her hoof around her. "They'll be back, then we can all leave here."

Grand made her way back to the others after a few minutes of walking. "We know the location of Ms. Sparkle. She's at the nuclear factory but its heavily gaurded. Stephan and I are going to go retrieve her tomorrow morning, bright and early" She said with a stern look.

"We're going with you, me and Fire, neither of us want to be anywhere near here, and the nuclear reactor isn't far I would think." Missy said. "Let's just go, the sooner we can move on from this, the better."

 

Twilight was being kept in a prison cell at the heart of the bandit's base, right next to the nuclear reactor, it was going unstable, it would explode within the next day or so.

Grand sighed. "Alright, fine. Lets make it quick then. I'm exhausted" She said, a little dissapointed she couldnt sleep. "Starburst can't stay here alone, I'll carry her" She said as she helped Caramel onto her back. "Lets get going then. Hopefully we get through there without any major issues"

Ghost sternly put his mask back on and took point. The group entered into the forest and eventually came to the nuclear factory/base. The base was guarded to what seemed like every square inch. There were two bandits armed to the teeth guarding the entrance.

"Pfft. Easy." He muttered with overconfidence.He then turned to Caramel. "Oh, um, while I was in town, I picked this up." Ghost took out the cloak that Starburst gave Caramel when he was alive and gave it to her. "I saw that was a little something Starburst got for you. Thought you'd might want it back."

Missy was thinking about how Starburst died, most likely to save Caramel from something, a bandit most likely, she wanted to be angry at Caramel, bu she just couldn't, Missy knew that Starburst's love for Caramel was absolute, that he would literally die for her, and that's why she wanted to hold on to Caramel as hard as she could.

Caramel looked at the cape and took it from him, feeling the soft worn in fabric. She slipped it on and caught a whiff of Starbursts scent. Her eyes began to water but she stopped it. "Thank you" She said quietly.

 

Grand nodded to Stephan, "Alright, lets get in there and save Ms. Sparkle. I dont want to be here any longer then we have to

Ghost nodded. "Let's do this." Ghost transformed into a cloud of dust and transported behind the bandits guarding the entrance. Once behind them, Ghost bashed their heads together and knocked them out cold. He then transported back to the others. "Nothing's gonna stop us from entering now." He said, cracking his hooves.

((OOC: Don't know how that's possible, but who cares. Science!))

Fire and MIssy walked together, they were all they had now.

They had reached a room, there were two doors, one which said Barracks and one that said reactor core (for authroized personnel only). Missy walked forward a bit,

 

"Looks clear."  Missy said. Suddenly, a bandit burst into the room. He aimed his gun at Missy and fired, Fire quickly pulled dout his gun and fired at the bandit, his brain splattered on the wall. Fire then ran over to Missy who now had a bullet through her neck, she fell over, dying instantly.

"Missy! MISSY!" Fire yelled. He then looked over at the dead bandit, luckily there was a key on him, he took that and could hear many other bandits coming from the barracks.

 

"Everypony, go without me. I'll try and buy you as much time as possible." Fire said, unlocking the door and opening it. "I'll lock it behind you, just go."

Grand looked at Missy with fear in her eyes. "No... Dammit! We need to get Twilight, she can fix this" She said, trying to shake the image of Missys dead body. "Twilight will fix everything" She said to herself again before taking a deep breath and turning to the next door.

 

Caramel gasped at Missys body. "Another death?" She said with a whimper.

Ghost turned to Grand before entering. "Grand, I think you should keep your sister outside. She'll likely be their main target if we enter in there with her. Find her a safe place to hide out and we'll go in there together." He told her.

"Grand, Stephan, Zeta, it's been an honor, being your friend, if I don't come back, and there's a small chance I won't, just do one thing for me, just one, all of you, have a fantastic life." Fire grabbed the door with his magic. "You should go, don't want to die, do you?"

Grand took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright Stephan, lets go" She said before walking into the next room. Bandits came pouring through the room Fire was in so she Carried Caramel into the room and slammed the door shut. "Fire will be fine, I know it" She said to Caramel, who looked traumatized

Zeta was slightly confused at what was going on. He looked around at the new building and the room he entered with Stephan and Grand, still in the wheelchair. "Ur... Why, why did Fire leave us like that? What is happening here, and why are we at the bandit's base?"

Fire faced the bandits, no fear in his eyes whatsoever. He simply stood before them, closed his eyes and waited for death to come for him.

 

 

Twilight was worried, she heard gunshots, that couldn't be a good sign, or maybe it could be, she was so conflicted, worried...

Ghost lowered his head. "What's happening, Zeta, is that our best friend is being torn apart by these heartless pricks." He raised his head up again. "Let's just keep going. That's what he'd want us to do." He kept moving on without looking back. It'd just break his heart more.

Zeta, we are here to save Ms. Sparkle and restore the previous timeline, that is if we can get there" She said as she put Caramelo on Stephans back before opening the door into the next room. "Alright you Stephan, this way, I think I see Ms. Sparkles chambe-" Suddenly a bandit came from nowhere and grabbed onto Grand, snapping her neck. She fell to the ground, dead instantly.

 

Caramels eyes went wide as her sisters body hit the ground with a lifeless thud. SUddenly her eyes filled with rage as a burst of energy from her horn killed the bandit that attacked her sister. "Stephan, lets go. We need to make this right" She said as she avoided looking at Grands corpse

Zeta saw what just happened, deeply saddened by the feeling that somepony he cared about died. But since she did say that they were going to restore the previous timeline, he sighed and looked to Stephan and Caramel.

"Guys, leave me here. I'm going to kill time, just like these freakbags killing Grand.. You don't have much, judging from what happened and to be honest my life is over now. Just go, leave me behind now so you can save this place.." He said to the two, starting to tear up a little.

Ghost stood there, just in utter shock, looking at Grand's body. His eyes began to tear up. He finally had enough. He quickly pulled out his micro SMG and shot so many holes into the bandit. He took Caramel and Zeta and progressed through the base. 

"No, Zeta! I won't leave you here to die!" They eventually reached the room where Twilight was being held. He began picking the lock to Twilight's cell, setting her free.
