Caramel smiled. "Okay, do you want to try that red velvet cake I told you about earlier? We can try a sample and decide then" She said with a smile

 

Grand sighed. "Yeah... maybe one day" She said, not looking at Stephan. "But... it still feels like the universe is telling me a family is not for me. Maybe I should just stop resisting. Ive always been career driven anyways."

"Maybe it is, and maybe it isn't. I can't really answer the question for you, so you decide for yourself. It's your life, Grand. Live it how you want to live it." Stephan said, smiling at the mare. "Besides, it's Hearth's Warming. You should be out celebrating it. Not sitting in here and working nonstop."

"Sounds good to me, what she said." Starburst smiled.

"You know, I think Pinkie Pie actually mentioned that you two were getting married." Mrs Cake said.

"Hmm, is that a fact?" Starburst asked.

"Yep, she's been speaking about it for a few days now." Mrs Cake placed a bit in front of them.

"Um, Caramel, I can't levitate that, would you mind?" Starburst asked.

 

"I know, and think about it, it's always a good thing when two ponies get to spend more time together."  Fire said. "And besides, at least Glint is going to have a younger sibling."

Caramel nodded and took the cake slice with her magic, setting it down on the table. "You take the first bite, I already tried it" She said with a smile.

 

Grand sighed, "I know its just... how can I go out and celebrate when your in a wheelchair and Zetas in prison?" She said, looking up. "It just wouldnt be right"

Moon smiled. "It does, really. You know, I think us having a baby will bring us closer, as well as provide Glint with another sibling to play with in the future. Now we have to wait and find out.. If it's a boy or a girl, unicorn or pegasus. I highly doubt it's an alicorn, since i'm not Missy..~" Then she pranced around before coming back, giving a little kiss on the lips.

"I'm gonna go with earth pony, a non-magic foal would be a breath of fresh air." Fire said.

 

Missy walked in to the house and noticed the two talking.

"Am I interrupting something?" Missy asked, slightly backing up until hitting the door.

 

Starburst leaned down and took a bite.

"Well, I think this one is a winner." Starburst said, after a small while and a little payment, they had a cake for the wedding. "There we go, that's one thing off the list."

"Don't worry about the wheelchair, Grand. That won't stop me from celebrating the holiday." Stephan said. He got so caught in the conversation that he barely touched his dinner. When he finally took the first bite, it was becoming cold.

"I worry for Zeta too, Grand. In fact, I plan on bailing him out of prison tomorrow. That is, if that's an option that Luna gives me." Stephan then turned to Missy, who had just walked in. "Oh no, Missy, you aren't interrupting much. Me and Grand were just conversing about recent events."

"That's a slim chance honey, but mind you, it may work." Moon replied, spreading her wings and touched his horn. "If a pegasus and unicorn come together, it's a 39% chance pegasus, 39% chance unicorn, 10% chance earth pony from the two genes cancelling out eachother, and 1% chance alicorn, if the two genes decide to fuse together. Trust me, i've studied this quite a lot~!"

Caramel smiled. "Good, now where should we head to next?" She said happily, picking up the plate with cake on it and took a bite. Just then, a rather talland worn colt walked in,with a rusty orange coat and a messy red mane. Caramel looked up to see who just came in and her eyes grew wide as she dropped the plate of cake. "No way..." Was all she could muster

 

Grand looked up at Missy. "Oh,not at all, come on in Missy. we were just talking." She said "Are you hungry?"

"What?" Starburst asked. "Do you know him?"

 

"Oh no, I'm alright, I'm just coming to get Glint. I haven't fed her today." Missy said. "I'll be back in just a moment."

 

"Well, you really have done research, either that or you're just making that up." Fire said. "Either way, in a way I'm looking forward to this."

"Looking forward to what our new baby would look like?" She smirked and nuzzled him again. "Maybe you needed another baby, and so did I. Thanks for helping with the cheerful atmosphere dear, now I think I know why Missy loves you so much~" 

 

Sooner or later, they arrived back at the front door of the house. Moon hesitated to go inside, and looked to Fire. "I feel, a little weird to tell everypony i'm pregnant.. Should I.. Keep it a secret..?"

Caramel didnt respond to Starburst. She just stared at the older colt. 

 

The stallion looked at Caramel for a second before he smiled wide. "Look at that... My little Caramel is all grown up" He said in a rough voice, He walked towards her, but Caramel pulled back. She just glared at him.

 

Grand nodded."Oh yes, she's such a quiet little baby. So well behaved" She said distractedly. "The sweetest really"

Stephan couldn't eat his dinner. He simply just pushed it to the side. All he could think about was what happened before he was hospitalized. The bone-cracking strikes played over and over again like a broken record. The thoughts began to disappear when he saw Missy come down with Glint.

"Um, Missy, do you mind if I hold her?" He asked.

"No of course not, here you go." Missy said, giving Glint to Stephan. She was still fast asleep. "She just sleeps, almost all day, and all night. I wonder why."

 

Starburst stepped inbetween the two just in case something kicked off.

"Alright, I don't know who you are, but I think it's clear that she doesn't want to see you." Starburst said. "You should leave, now."

 

"I have to tell Missy, this affects her, on a much bigger level than I'd like, so we tell her, and nopony else." Fire said.

"Well, she IS a newborn, Missy. Don't newborns usually sleep alot?" Stephan rocked Glint back and forth in his arms and kissed her forehead. To him, she looked absolutely precious. He was still sad he had to be born when Equestria was overcome by violence and chaos, though.

The colt looked at the younger boy blocking his way and the young mare behind him, still glaring. "Please, I can explain. My name is Jackhammer, I'm..."

 

Caramel interrupted, in a sharp voice. "My father" she said, not taking her eyes off him

 

Grand smiled. "I'm sure she's just an easygoing little filly" she said, smiling at the little mare sleeping peacefully

She nodded and walked inside, making sure Fire came along with her into the house. She heard Missy and the others talking, so she went over to them. "Heya guys, we're back! Anyways, we just went out to run a few things like checking up on some ponies and stuff. So what are we all doing~?"

"Wait! You're her father, the one who abandoned her. Caramel, leave now?" Starburst said. "You listen to me, I don't know why you're back here, but I'm her fiance and I don't take too kindly to anypony potentially hurting her, be it physically or emotionally. So I think it best that you leave now."

 

"Hey Moon, I'd ask how it was going, but I think I know." Missy said. "You're fine with her right?"

"We need to have a chat." Fire said, walking off to another room.

She giggled and hugged Missy. "Yeah, more or less. You can read me like a book anyways, except for sometimes. Anyways we should follow Fire, he seems to have something important." Then Moon helped Missy up from the chair, giving her a kiss before the two walked upstairs and into the guest bedroom. The first thing she did was sit down in the bed and stretched out. "Good news or bad news?"

Jackhammer looked at the colt. "Look kid, I didn't search down the location if my daughters and spend the last of my bits to get here to be turned around by some whippersnapper. I know I'm no perfect dad, but I'm tryin to fix that" he said, his voice a little more gruff than before

 

Caramel just kept her eyes glued to him

"You should've thought about that before dumping a little filly on her sister and then taking off, without such as a goodbye." Starburst said. "I don't know about you, but I don't think Grand will want to speak to you either." Starburst felt slightly intimidated by this stallion without his magic, but he held his ground regardless.

 

"Well, good news please." Missy said.

Moon hugged Missy and rubbed her belly gently. "Good news is, we had a nice time bonding while heading to the hospital. Now that doesn't mean he loves me, since Fire is mature and loves you a lot, but just saying. This next thing is both good and bad news, so I might as well put it out."

 

She took a deep breath, pausing. "Missy.... You were right.. I am pregnant."

"Alright kid,i came here to talk to my kids and your gettin on my nerves. I'm plenty ready to explain myself, but not to you" he said, looking irritated

 

Caramel walked up next to Starburst. "Fine. You can explain yourself. But don't expect anything more than that" she said sternly

 

Grand sat at the table. "What do you think those three are talking about? They've all been so jumpy today"

Missy looked between the two, Fire feeling ashamed.
"Look, Missy, I didn't...." Fire was cut off by Missy pushing him away from her.

"No, just, don't talk to me, just stay away from me, the two of you." Missy said, backing out of the room and running out of the house crying.

 

Starburst turned to Caramel.

"Are you sure? You don't have to do this." Starburst said.

Stephan couldn't believe what he just saw. What happened that made Missy react in such a dramatic way. He got up from his chair and handed Glint over to Fire Horn upstairs.

"I'm sorry, Fire. I'm gonna go try to talk to Missy. She needs something to comfort her." Stephan began walking out of the house
