The group reached the large hive that had taken over almost the entirety of the city. The main structure was still a small distance away.

"Alright, everypony, we play this safe from now on, no taking unnecessary risks." Fire said, gesturing for the ponies to come and hide behind a ridge that he'd found, over looking the city.

"Yea I know him and id be willing to bet all my buts that he's on hi way here" steel said "you wouldn't be able to get these chains of me would you" steel asked light streak as he pulled on Hus chains again even though he knew they wouldn't budge or break

Stephan and Rainbow Dash followed Fire to the ridge. The two stood next to Fire as they overlooked the city. "So, how are we approaching this, Fire?" Stephan asked. "Are we going to simply sneak in there and grab the ladies?"

 "Let me see..." Light grabbed the chains strapped to the wall and began tugging on them. The chains actually began to come off of their hinges.

Grand smiled. "well, Honestly, I couldnt cover whats happened, theres been too much. We survived the outbreak, had a bit of a fallout, went to Bruchellia, and now we are here in the changeling fortress" she said, huffing as she finished.

 

 

Tarot smiled," Alright! lets kick come changeling tail!" she said, a little too happily

Missy was completely incapacitate, unable to get up, she just lay there, on the cold floor.

"I don't know where I am, and I can't even get up." Missy whispered to herself.

 

"Well, we certainly try to get in undetected, we don't know where they've got Grand and Missy. They could be ready to hold them for a ransom." Fire said.

"Well, what could they possibly hold them for? What can they gain?" Twilight asked.

Grand heard a nearly nonexistent whisper through what seemed lke a vent of sorts. she walked over to it, looking in. It was dark, but the voice sounded familiar. "Hello?" Grand called, pressing her ear against the vent tightly. "I think I hear Missy!" she said, not moving her ear

Light smiled at Grand. "No wonder she's an actress. She's so dramatic. Yet, she's very nice." He thought to himself. He then looked at Grand.  "Don't worry, Grand. I'm sure Stephan and your lot are on their way to rescue us." He told her, trying to reassure her. He then heard a voice through the vent. The same one Grand was hearing.

Missy heard something coming from somewhere.

"Hello? Who's there?" Missy asked, listening for a response.
It probably was nothing, but after this experience.....

Missy dragged herself over to the source of the sound.

"Hello? What do you want? Are you going to hurt me?" Missy asked again.

Grand laughed from joy "No, Missy, Its Grand! Its just me, I promise! are you alright?" she called, a big smile on her face, though Missy sounded very weak. Maybe she could try to get her with her magic, but she couldnt see a thing through the vent. "Are you hurt? You sound like youve been through some awful things"

Stephan turned to Twilight. "Anything they want." He told her. "Those mares down there are my family. I've helped you guys through the toughest times ever since we met. They mean so much to me, and I'll do pretty much anything to secure their safety." Stephan began to walk to the hive. "Let's get this done before they get hurt, because then I'll be really pissed off." He said.

Missy hesitated to answer, not wanting to trust the voice in the air.

"I can't get up, my right hoof as injured and I can't get up." Missy said.

 

"Well, Missy is my family, I won't let her just die in some changeling hive." Twilight said.

"Well, we're not going to get anything done standing here." Fire said. "Let's go."

Grand thought before beginning to buck the hive with everything shes got. After several blows, it began to weaken, and finally break. Maybe She could get ahold of Missy with her magic now. "alright, I'm going to try to get you in here, trust me, alright? You need to focus on my voice, or I wont be able to do it" She said, focussing hard on locating Missy through the next room. It was incredibly difficult for her to teleport someone without being in physical contact with them. After a few minutes of searching, she finally grabbed hold of Missy, and with all of her energy, teleported her into the room

After seeing Grand, Missy burst into tears and hugged her.

"You're the best friend I've ever had, Grand." Missy said weakly, going back to the ground. "So, what now? We just wait to be devoured for our love, or do we find a way out?" Missy's voice sounded (i hate to make this pun) hoarse, she was very dehydrated, that drink must have had something powerful in it.

Light got up from his hooves and walked to Missy. "Welcome to the club. It seems I'm meeting a lot of Stephan's new friends here." he said. "I'm Light. I'm guessing you're Missy?"

 

Stephan and the group proceeded to a point of the hive where they could enter silently. Stephan looked at Fire. "Lead the way." He said.

Grand smiled tiredly at her. The spell took alot out of her. "I'm just glad your safe. I hope it wont be long until everypony finds us" she said quietly, sitting down and laying against the wall. "Meet Light Streak, he is the one Stephan had been blabbering on about. turns out he is alive, and has been her for the past nine years"

Fire Horn jumped down from the ridge, followed by Twilight.
"You don't think they'll do anything to her do you? I've heard that sometimes, ponies turned up, having no memory of anything, not even their names." Twilight asked. "Do you think they feed off of the love from memories instead of the pure form?"

"I'm trying not to think about that." Fire said.

 

"Hi there, yes, I'm Missy, i'd shake your hoof but I can't really move all that much, what with the missing leg and injured hoof." Missy said, again very weakly.

Grand smiled, happy to be with her friends, but this was cut short as the door swung open and changelings smiled menacingly at them.

 

"Why, looks lthat one got out of her cage"

"Looks like the red ones pretty tired, maybe we should show those two why they shouldnt meddle with our plans"

Stephan and the group silently went into the hive. The whole place seemed very damp and dark, and it reeked of a terrible odor. Stephan then noticed a couple of changelings standing in front of a cell. They looked like they were up to no good. Stephan used his skills he learned from when he was The Ghost and bashed the changelings' skulls in, knocking them out. "Not a chance, man." He said. He looked up and noticed and the imprisoned ponies. "THERE you guys are."

The changelings snickered as they grabbed the two mares and flew straight up, into a previously unseen hatch in the ceiling, laughing as they went. "Silly pony, thinking they know our hive better than us!" 

 

Grand shrieked as she was carried up into the darkness. she turned to Missy beside her, reaching for her hoof but couldnt reach.

 

(its not likely you would find them so quickly, just saying)

 The changelings took the mares and another green pony up into the ceiling hatch. Before Stephan could react, the hatch closed above the team. "Damn it!" He said, making sure he was still quiet.

The chains had gave a little as steel kept pulling "if I could just get free I could fly up tree and help them"steel grunted as he strained aginst the chains they where slowly giving an steel kept pullig till the brackets gas and tenchians where off the wall but still on his hooves

Missy had stopped trying, she knew that they were going to be harvested.....or something, they were going to die, just like the other ponies. Just like Starburst.

 

"Crap! We have to get up there, but first, I have something I need you to do." Fire took a small collection of crystals out of his saddlebag. "Place these all around the main hive, don't get seen, once you do that, get out of here." He said, handing them to Twilight, Stephan and Tarot.

"What are you going to do?" Twilight asked.

"I'm the negotiator." Fire said, running to where he thought he needed to go.

The changelings entered into a room full of changelings, staring at them hungrily. The two mares were tossed into some sort of device, with lasers pointed at them in all directions. A container on the side was full of some sort of liquid, and a room nearby reeked of death.

"I can tell these ponies have some delightfully delectable memories, I think we will all feast tonight!" the room of Changelings erupted in hollers and cheers. Grand held onto Missy tightly, refusing to show fear on her face

 

Tarot nodded and grabbed the crystals before running off to place the crystals around the hive

Stephan just rolled his eyes. "For Celestia's sake, he knows I'm coming back." He handed half of his crystals to Rainbow Dash. "Take these, Dash. It'll help the process."

Dash nodded and went on her way, as well as Stephan.

 

At that moment, Light just casually walked out of his cell with Steel. He swore he saw a red blur. "Stephan?" Light tried to follow the trail of red before it disappeared.

Missy held onto Grand just as tightly.

"I don't think it needs saying right now, but....you were the best friends I ever had, Grand. It was nice to get to know you." Missy said weakly. Fire Horn was running through the hive as fast as he could, he could hear cheering coming from somewhere, so he followed the tribal sounds to their source.
