Stephan simply grinned and looked up into the horizon. " For me, I'm totally cool with that." He said. "I've been adventuring ever since I came here. I'll live that life of adventure and heroism like a badge until the elements are passed on to another set of bearers." He said proudly.

"At least we're heading back to Ponyville next. I bet you're excited to see your sister again." He said.

Fire thought about what Grand said. "If Starburst was the Element of Laughter, how can we still be connected if he's dead?"

 

After not too long after the group arrived back in Canterlot and were let back in, Fire went to see Celestia, and Stephan took Missy back home.

"Princess, we have taken care of the problem." Fire said.

"You saved your friends?" Celestia asked, Fire nodded. "Good, I know you probably all want to get back to Ponyville, there's reconstruction going on right now, but your lives will return to normal soon."

 

-Meanwhile in Bruchellia-

 

In a small cave, there was somepony in there, waiting.

Stephan quietly opened the door to Fire and Missy's house. He made sure to make very light steps, as he didn't want to wake the alicorn up. Stephan laid Missy on the couch and poured her a glass of water in case she needed it once she arose to her hooves. He then let out a sigh and began to walk out the door. "Maybe NOW I can finally catch a nap in the sun..." He said to himself.

That time, Missy woke up peacefully, she yawned and looked around her. Last thing she remembered was leaning on Twilight and then....

"Well, it looks like you're awake." Came a voice from behind her.

Missy quickly got up and looked over, it was Twilight.
"I've never seen your house before, it's impressive." Twilight continued.

"How did I get here?" Missy yawned. "Did i fall asleep on you again?" Twilight gave a small chuckle.

"Yes." Twilight said.

Stephan went out into the grassy outer parts of the city and lied down under the leafiest tree he could find. The rays of the sun came down on Stephan's body as he shut his eyes. He began to daydream about the past experiences that the group had and... Starburst being alive? Stephan tried to convince himself that he was just daydreaming, but something about it felt like reality. He felt as if Starburst was actually still alive.

Grand groaned as she entered the bathroom and looked at her side. It seems the laser had left a burn mark on the side of her stomach. Quietly she walked into the guest room and picked up the incredibly worn in saddlebags, and took out a nearly dried up fern. She placed it on her side before putting a bandage over it, out of habit

Steel went to the club to retrieve his daggers but was stopes by the royal guard "no pony is allowed to ener" the stallion said

"well than you can go to the back left corner and get my daggers off the ground I helped save equestria and I need my daggers to help defend aginst the changelings" steel said wit a hard edge to his voice

"sorry but we havnt found any daggers so far I'll send word if we do" the stallion replied steel flew away wondering how long It would be before he had his daggers back

Stephan's eyes burst open as wide as wide could be. He was convinced that his dream was a reality. It may sound crazy, but he had to tell somepony. Stephan immediately ran to the castle, where Fire was talking to the princesses. He slammed open the door. "Fire, you're never going to believe what I have to tell you. In fact,  you may think I'm downright crazy."

Fire turned to see Stephan bursting through the doors, gave the guards a bit of a scare.

"What do you mean, why would I think you're crazy....?" Fire paused for a moment. "......any more than I already do."

 

There was a hooded figure in the cave, his outfit was comparable to an assassin. A zebra entered the cave.

"ما قایق خود را آماده می شود." The zebra said.

"خوب، من خواهم بود بازگشت به خانه تا پایان هفته است." The hooded figure replied. "من در آنجا به زودی خواهید بود، مادر"

He got up and walked to the cave entrance.

"At least I'm a good kind of crazy." He snickered. "But, anyways, while I was daydreaming under the sun, a vision came into my head. A vision of your son, Starburst. I tried to convince myself that it was just a dream, but it felt too real to be one." He said, walking up to him. "Fire, I think your son is alive, and he's stranded on Bruchellia." He said, hoping Fire and the other ponies in the room wouldn't look at him like he was completely mental.

"I don't know what you've been on, maybe you're a bit drunk, for whatever reason. Starburst is dead, he died saving your life." Fire said, "It's been nice talking with you, Celestia." Celestia nodded. "We're leaving for Ponyville tomorrow, meet us at our house, Stephan." Fire walked out of the castle.

Stephan grunted and walked out into the city. He then stared out upon the ocean. He saw the island of Bruchellia down the horizon, as if it was closer. He then got determination in those eyes. "Then I'll just head down to the island and bring him back by tomorrow..." He said under his breath.

Grand left the room and sat next to Missy. "Did you happen o get any injuries? I had gotten a burn from the laser, I just wanted to make sure you were alright." Grand said, gesturing to her side. "I could help you if you had gotten a burn... of course there are doctors now though"

"I do have a burn on my neck. Must have been the crazy laser." Missy said. "Again, I feel the need to apologise for targeting your sister, it was really wrong and I'm sorry." Missy sat up.  "I really thought you were going to hurt me, or I was going to hurt you. I would never want that to happen."

Stephan went back to Steel's house and took out a piece of paper and pen. He began to write a note telling the group that he was heading out to the island and that he'd be back before tomorrow. "How did I even learn to write with hooves..." Stephan asked himself. He put the note in an envelope and placed it under Fire and Missy's doormat. After that was done, he walked out of the city and began heading towards the ocean shore.

Grand smiled. "It wasnt you, Im sure if had gotten to the point I would have done worse. I suppose you can tell I can be quite stubborn at times" SHe said, looking at the burn on her neck. "Its a good thing the laser didnt do anything to the baby" She smiled. Grand walked over to the kitchen and found some aloe Vera. She mushed it up before placing it on Missys neck, then applying a bandage. "That should take the sting off"

Missy winced as Grand put the bandage on the burn.

"I've never really felt afraid before, but before Chrysalis used that crazy machine, I was afraid, not for me, but for my child, the changelings have no principles, they would kill an unborn foal for food." Missy felt like crying at that moment. "...and I was afraid of you."

Stephan got into a running position and was about ready to take off. That was until he was stopped by Light Streak.

"And just where do you think you're going? You know that the others will be worried sick if you just take off without saying anything." Light told him.

"I'm going back down to the island across the sea. I think Fire's son, Starburst, might be alive down there." Stephan said. "Besides, I wrote them a note. I'll be coming back by tomorrow."

"A dead pony coming back to life is highly unlikely, Stephan."

"That's not what the aftermath of the cure for the outbreak says" He reminded. "Now, are you coming with me, or are you just going to keep me waiting?"
Light sighed. "Fine, I'll come. But only because I want to be there in case you do something stupid."

"Great!" Stephan exclaimed. "It'll be just like old times!"

Grand pursed her lips. "I suppose I never realized how violent I could be, I'm terribly sorry" She said, faltering a bit. "perhaps I didnt see how awful I really was being." She said, sitting back and not looking anywhere in particular. "excuse me, I think I need a moment" She mumbked before walking back into the guest room. A million thoughts ran through her head as she walked away. Was she really... scary? Would she have harmed Missy? She didnt know if she wanted the answer

 

(INNER TURMOIL SEEMS TO BE A COMMON OBSTACLE FOR GRAND)

The hooded figure was being escorted through a camp, he was there to see an aquaintance.

"Wha ah joo eeha?" The zebra asked.

"Cut the crap, you know why I'm here." The hooded figure said.

"So, you are.....him. You've made quite a reputation for yourself in this small time." The zebra said.
"I work fast, and I'm desperate." He replied.

"Known among the arid plains as "the alicorn nightmare", you certainly know how to make enemies too." The zebra responded.

"I've had friends......they left me. Now I work alone." The hooded stallion pulled off his hood. "I gave my life to protect one of them, now I'm stuck here with no way to return to Equestria."

Stephan and Light walked down to the sand and got into their positions. Stephan got into a running position and Light was flying above him.

"Ready?"

"Ready." 

"GO!"

Stephan and Light jetted off and began running on the water at high speed. Light wasn't as fast as Stephan, but he could fly reasonably fast enough to keep up with him. The duo made their way to the island, as they had a while to go.

Grand sat on her bed, tapping her hooves together. She never knew Missy was pregnangt at the time, would she have hurt her? She had shoved her into the wall, and had mentioned she would do worse. Was that the truth? Grand thought about it. If someone were to ever do anything to her sister, she would undoubtedly do something to avenge her. Of course she would have. She could have easily attacked Missy, in fact if it wasnt for the laser, she would have, she was sure of it. Grand was disgusted with herself

Zebras began to surround Starburst, he looked slightly annoyed, not fearful for his life, because he knew that he wasn't going to die.

"You have commited atrocities against the Plainstrider clan, what do you have to say for yourself?" The zebra asked, pulling a knife on him, with the others holding spears to his neck.

"Nothing, really, just that you probably shouldn't have done this." Starburst smirked.
