Grand awoke with a start and ran downstairs, where her exhausted sister lay on the couch. "Caramel! what in equestria are you doing, you couldve gotten hurt, or worse!" Grand said, rushing to her sister.

 

"Starburst... he got taken.... bandits took him, something about the apples... they have Stephan and Lightstreak too" Caramel managed to get out as she tried to catch her breath

Zeta awoke as well, following Grand quickly to see Caramel and heard everything from her. He cursed under his breath a little and shook his head. "They must want food if they are willing to do something like this.. Grand, if I may suggest. We can give them food for maybe a little, see if we can get the ponies back then completely cut them off and kill them. It's a simple game really."

"We cant spare much food Zeta, losing food can mean killing an innocent pony. I dont know what to do" She said, bewildered. "That doesnt explain why you were out of the hospital"

 

"Its not important Grand, we need to get them back" Caramel said, trying to think if a plan

He just laughed. "Well, we wouldn't want that, now would we? I mean, it'd be a shame for me to die, because if you were to attack me, we'll make sure these two stallions' heads splatter all over the room." He said. The two stallions just gave him an ugly look. "Now, I was thinking of you giving us some more of they're supplies exchange for your freedom. I mean, you were generous enough to give us some of it last time." He said in a teasing matter.

"It's important that you tell us why you were outside in the middle of the night." Fire looked into Caramel's eyes. "If it's what I think it is, then he's just as important to you, as he is to me."

 

Starburst smirked.

"Oh, so you're just as desperate as we are, well, what a dilemma." Starburst said. "Well, unfortunately, we don't have any apples right now, they haven't started growing, and we don't have supplies to give you." Starburst was using subtle magic to channel magic into his right hoof, he was going to use it to unlock Stephan's restraints.

Caramel huffed and blew the hair out of her eyes. "I just wanted to get out of the hospital and go for a walk, Starburst said he would help me, thats it" She said, a little iritated. "Now can we please focus on saving them?"

 

Grand looked at her sister. "Theres no need to use that attitude, young lady, but she's right, we need to get them back somehow"

Stephan realized what Starburst was up to, but he didn't say or do anything that could cause suspicion. The guards would put a bullet through his and Light's skulls if they tried anything.

 

"Well then, until you have food or supplies for us, we'll just keep your friends." The blue stallion said. "If you don't have any for us by, say, ten days, your friends' metabolic processes will be history."

"Right, well we need to get after them, they'll kill Stephan and Light, possibly even Starburst." Fire Horn ran out of the house.

 

Starburst quickly looked over at Stephan's restraints and destroyed them.

"NOW!" Starburst yelled as he took a dagger out and threw it at the talkative pony, knocking him to the floor. Two stallions attempted to come at him with spears but ended up just stabbing each other. "Seriously? Why do ponies do that?" Starburst asked rhetorically, whilst knocking them into the walls. "Stephan, get Light, I'll take care of this lot."

The blue stallion quickly got up from the ground and pulled out a big machine gun. "You shouldn't have done that, boy!" The pony was about to pull the trigger until Stephan ran in front of him and kicked it out of his grasp. He then kicked the pony unconscious.

"No sweat." He said in a cocky tone. He then freed Light from his chains. The duo turned to Starburst. "Maybe we should stick around and fight, Starburst. Three ponies are better than one."

Grand was about to follow suit but her sister caught her eye. "I cant leave my sister alone, I'll stay here" She said, a little disheartened she couldnt help

 

"We can both go Grand, I wont hold you up"

 

"Your far too sick to do anything of the sort. I'm staying right here with you" Grand said sternly

Starburst dodged a knife, kicked the attacker and stabbed him with it. "If you insist on sticking around, we need to blow this place sky high, or else they'll just come back for more, find anything explosive and set it to blow." Starburst turned around and picked up the machine gun that the talkie pony was holding. "i've got this."

Grand was about to follow suit but her sister caught her eye. "I cant leave my sister alone, I'll stay here" She said, a little disheartened she couldnt help

 

"We can both go Grand, I wont hold you up"

 

"Your far too sick to do anything of the sort. I'm staying right here with you" Grand said sternly

Zeta looked to Caramel, seeing at how weak she looked like and nodded. "Caramel, listen to your older sister please. I'd also want to stay here on behalf of looking out for Grand, just in case if they want us to separate to capture more of us later on when we don't realize it."

He then turned to Grand. "It may seem like i'm doubting you, but you and I both know that it's too dangerous for either of you to be alone."

Grand looked at him. "I can watch over my sister and myself, you dont need to watch over me" She said tightly. She picked up thepistol from the table. "See? I have something to use just in case"

 

Caramel sighed. "I want to go with Fire, I want to help.."

 

Grand just looked at her sister with a stern look. "No, Caramel. You will stay here"

 

Caramel rolled her eyes and turned to face the couch

Stephan nodded and the duo proceeded through the metal base. The place was filled with bandits equipped with guns and melee weapons. They fought their way down into the weaponry, where there was a bundle of dynamite down there. There was then thumping on coming downstairs, and within moments, they were surrounded by bandits with firearms.

"DROP THE EXPLOSIVES IF YOU KNOW WHAT'S GOOD FOR YOU!" They shouted.

Grand looked at him. "I can watch over my sister and myself, you dont need to watch over me" She said tightly. She picked up thepistol from the table. "See? I have something to use just in case"

 

Caramel sighed. "I want to go with Fire, I want to help.."

 

Grand just looked at her sister with a stern look. "No, Caramel. You will stay here"

 

Caramel rolled her eyes and turned to face the couch

"But take a look." Zeta said, taking the pistol out from her hooves and popped the clip open. "There is three bullets left, and it doesn't take 9mm rounds. Three bullets isn't enough, nor is your magic. Please just consider, alright? I know I really want to help out Stephan and the others, but what if it fails and they take you as well?"

Starburst appeared behind the surrounding stallions.
"BOO!" Starburst shouted, before gunning them all down. "There's a nuclear reactor in the middle of the base, put the dynamite in there and get out." Starburst thre Stephan the gun and flew off down a corridor. Towards an exit hopefully.

Grand pouted her lips. "If you insist that im not strong enough to keep us safe then fine, you can protect us weak mares" She said, the tiredness and hunger beginning to get to her.

 

Caramel looked at her sister. "You dont need to be rude Grand"

 

Grand glared at her sister. "Not now Caramel"

Stephan simply threw the gun aside. "Who needs it?" Stephan and Light made their way to the nuclear reactor. They dropped the dynamite into the reactor and ran for the exit. The base, however, began blowing up before they got to the outside.

"Light, we're not gonna make it! Let's kick it up a notch!" Stephan yelled, picking up his speed.

Grand pouted her lips. "If you insist that im not strong enough to keep us safe then fine, you can protect us weak mares" She said, the tiredness and hunger beginning to get to her.

 

Caramel looked at her sister. "You dont need to be rude Grand"

 

Grand glared at her sister. "Not now Caramel"

"Grand, you're not weak at all. But you remember what I told you earlier, which is why I don't want to take such a chance." He said, going up to comfort her. It was true he didn't want to lose her for anything, and he couldn't bear the fact if she were taken from him leaving her.

"You know if you die, then I die. Please, just think.."

Grand took a deep breath. "Fine, fine Zeta. you can stay and watch over us" She said exasperated. "But, im going to bed. I am exhausted, so please excuse me" She said, removing herself from the room.

 

"Sorry about her, she goes off on dramatic moments like this all the time. I guess you might have already figured it out, being with her for so long"

Grand took a deep breath. "Fine, fine Zeta. you can stay and watch over us" She said exasperated. "But, im going to bed. I am exhausted, so please excuse me" She said, removing herself from the room.

 

"Sorry about her, she goes off on dramatic moments like this all the time. I guess you might have already figured it out, being with her for so long"

He looked curiously to Caramel, laughing a bit from her statement and decided to add on. "But her being dramatic is what makes her good on the spotlight, you know? They don't call her Grand Finale for nothing, because i'm sure there is a major reason to it."

Starburst flew outside and up into the air, fast as he could to escape the explosion.

They appeared to be somewhere north of Ponyville. But Stephan and Light were still down there, Starburst hoped that they would make it out alive,

 

Missy woke again, a doctor was by her side, checking on her,

Caramel smiled. "Yeah, shes pretty good, but I guess since she hasnt had an artistic outlet, as you might say, shes kinda gone off the deep end of over the topness" She said, giggling at herself. "So your Zeta right? I dont think we have been formally introduced. I'm Caramel Corn, but you already know that" She said smiling

Caramel smiled. "Yeah, shes pretty good, but I guess since she hasnt had an artistic outlet, as you might say, shes kinda gone off the deep end of over the topness" She said, giggling at herself. "So your Zeta right? I dont think we have been formally introduced. I'm Caramel Corn, but you already know that" She said smiling

"I don't think so either, and yes my name is Hyperion Zeta." He said, leaning on his crutch to give a hoof shake to Caramel. "You are Grand's little sister huh, not too bad looking either. She was always wondering about where you were for the past time the two of you separated, and then once she did find out where you were, it broke her heart. That is, until now anyways. I'm glad all the ponies who once were trotters are now back to being their former selves."

 Stephan light kicked up the speed and raced out before the explosion engulfed them. "Get out of here! This place is gonna blow!!" The duo ran away from the blast radius. Upon getting away, the base blew up, causing a giant explosion that could be seen all the way from Ponyville.

"Not all of them. You see the virus works two ways. It can either take over a corpse, or inhabit a living body and simply override the system. The ponies who were dead before they got infected are still dead. I was bitten, but not killed, so I was alive the whole time" She said, trying to explain what little she knew about the virus
