Fire stepped in.

"Allow me." Fire said, offering to help.

"Thank you, Fire." Missy said.

"What are husbands for?" Fire chuckled, getting a small giggle from Missy. He led Missy outside, where Starburst was.

"Can you let me go? I want to talk to him for a moment." Fire let go of Missy and she slowly walked towards Starburst.

Grand rubbed her eyes a bit before continuing to wash. "Sure Zeta, but you wouldnt mind if I take a quick nap before we do anything" She said as she continued to scrub away.

 

Caramel had finished her rations and decided to take a walk. She needed as much exercise as she could get as she wanted to be back in action as soon as possible

Zeta shook his head and smiled. "I don't mind at all Grand. After all, I do care about your health more then just about anything." He said, then began to laugh as he cleaned up the last bits of Steel. Afterwards, he began to rinse him off, making sure not to miss a spot so nothing would go wrong in the long run. "Alright, he's done. Now all he needs is some drying, and i'll take him back to the bed. Grand, you go on ahead and go back home. I'll do the rest for today and sign both of us out."

Grand looked up at him. "Are you sure? We still have a few patients to check. I dont mind staying around until we have finished" She said as she grabbed a towel and began drying Steel off. "I really dont. What if theres a patient and you arent sure how to treat them?"

Stephan and Light arrived back at Grand's house and they sat down on the chairs. They felt like they've gone through enough over the past couple of days. They sat and waited for the others to come back."You think it was a good idea to blow the place up with dynamite and a nuclear reactor?" Light asked.

"Nope. Probably not."

"I'm sorry for running off like that, I just can't stand being around Grand, not without fear that she'll somehow have found out about my feelings for Caramel and she'll start slapping me about with a fish." Starburst said. "I'll say it now, I am sort of in love with her, but...."

"But what? You've really got nothing to lose by telling her." Missy said.

"I have lots to lose, Caramel as a friend, Grand too, if she finds out." Starburst sunk his head into his hooves.

"Actually..." Zeta replied, going over and looked at the charts. "We have one last patient, who was that bandit that I was talking about. Just treat him up quickly so he can pay for what he's done, alright? Don't speak to him or look at him much, and focus on fixing him up."

Grand nodded. "Alright, lets hurry up and finish our day." She said as she helped Steel onto his bed and walked into the bandits room. "Alright Sir, lets get you fixed up and out of here" She said dryly as she checked his vitals. " lets see. Where should we start Zeta?"

He looked back at the charts, viewing the injuries that the other doctors have discovered. "It shows here he has a gash through his eye, a few cuts down his chest, two broken hooves which you can see the casts right here." Zeta paused, pointing at both of them before continuing. "There is also a wound on his, er... I'll take care of that part, and a little concussion. What we need to do is disinfect the wounds just in case, and patch them up. Then we'll be done and we can finally get out of this place."

"alright, ill take care of that gash first then" She said as she grabbed some disenfectant and began to clean the wound on the bandits face. She sewed it up and patched it before moving on to checking on his hooves. "I wonder who let him get away. Its not like our friends to let one of them get away alive"

"He was found like this after the explosion in Ponyville Grand." He said. "Someone found him like this and brought him over to the hospital, not knowing that it was one of the bandits until they saw his tattoo marking on his back."

After saying that, Zeta picked him up and showed the devil wings that were there, then set him back down and covered up his one area with the blanket and proceeded to disinfect the cut there.

"I see. Alright, lets get this pony patched up" She said as she finished checking on his hooves. She did a few tests to make sure he hadnt got any brain damage, and gave him some medicine for his concussion. "I believe thats everything." She said tiredly, but gladly as she put away all the medical supplies

Once the bandit was patched up, he leaved the cover over his one personal area and walked out of the room with Grand. He had remembered something from before, making him smile and bent down.

"Hey Grandy, do you want a little ride? Just like old times if you know what I mean."

Grand looked at him funnily, but decided to go along with it. "Just because you worked so hard today" She said with a smirk as she climbed onto his back carefully. "You just delight in calling me Grandy dont you?" she asked in a teasing voice

Starburst abruptly got up and ran back to the house. Caramel was just going out of the door when he arrived.

"Caramel, I have something to tell you. Don't speak, just listen to what I have to say." Starburst said. "Ever since I met you, I've admired you, I really love the way you giggle, not funny, but really, just, I love it. I can't stop thinking about you."

Stephan and Light poured themselves some tea and looked outside. He saw Zeta carrying Grand on his back to the house. Stephan sort of gave an ugly look.

"Oh, don't do that. He's only trying to be nice to her." Light told him.

Grand looked at him funnily, but decided to go along with it. "Just because you worked so hard today" She said with a smirk as she climbed onto his back carefully. "You just delight in calling me Grandy dont you?" she asked in a teasing voice

Zeta giggled, lifting back up when she climbed on him and walked out the door. "After your little sister did, I had given thought of the name. It sounds quite nice actually, especially for such a sweet girl like you~"

Sooner or later, they had arrived back to their house and saw both Stephan and Light on the sofa. He gave a little wave to them before taking Grand to her room, shutting the door and gently set her down on the bed. "Now here's a question. Do you want me to be with you for the time~?"

Stephan overheard Zeta upstairs and he sat down on the sofa.

"I've had just about enough with Zeta constantly doing this shit with Grand." Stephan said.

"Sounds like somepony's a little jealous." Light teased.

"Maybe I am, but I've never experienced love. His wife died, but at least he got to experience love for the time."

Grand was about to answer but fell asleep as soon as she laid down. She snuggled into her blankets and buried her face into the pillow.

 

Caramel walked back home after her walk and smiled at Light and Stephan. "Hi guys, how are you doing? you dont look too well"

Stephan looked at Caramel. On top of being sick, he was also a little depressed.

"Radiation poisoning, but we're pulling through." He said in a weakened tone. "So, could be better, could be worse..."

Light then shook his head. "Don't try striking up a big conversation with Stephan right now, Caramel." He told her. "He's a little down."

"If its about my sister, I guess I should let you know she's really dumb when it comes to romance. You could go right up to her and tell her how you feel and she probably still wouldnt see it as flirting" She said as she sat on the couch. She noticed her notebook and quickly grabbed it before anyone could see it

Noticing what had happened, Zeta giggled a bit and lied down next to her, putting a hoof around Grand and smiled. On occasion, he would soothe her by rubbing a hoof across her belly or so, and eventually snuggled in as well.

"I'm just sick of Zeta's constant flirting with Grand. It bothers the hay out of me." He told her. "It's one of the reasons I hate being here. I have to sit and watch as Zeta does this stuff. I don't want to be around him as much as I used to anymore."

Caramel was about to reply to Stephan until Starburst appeared, seemingly out of nowhere, at the door. She looked at him and blushed, unsure what to do about Stephan and Lightstreak being there, but she figured they didnt really matter. She simply took the notebook out from behind her back and showed him all the doodles she had made about him, waiting for his reaction to them
