Starburst led Caramel to the library, the only other familiar place he could think of, other than the hospital. Starburst knocked. Twilight opened it, hurrying them to come in.

"What were you doing out in the cold?" Twilight asked.

"Well, we were out, then we got caught out in the blizzard." Starburst replied.

"You're welcome to stay until the blizzard dies down." Twilight re-assured.

"Thank you Ms. Sparkle" she said politely before going into the warm house. she shook her mane which was covered in snowflakes, only making it messier than it was before. She looked around, having not been in the library since she was a filly. "This laibrary hasnt changed at all!" She said with a smile

"It was built around the time Ponyville was founded, it's been my home ever since I moved here from Canterlot, seems like such a long time ago." Twilight said. "You're also welcome to stay if you need to, the weather seems like it's going to stay through the night with how strong it is."

"If we need to, we'd be very grateful." Starburst said.

"Don't worry. I made it just fine." Stephan said to Grand. He sat in the chair next to Fire in silence for a little while. He felt tired and sick, and he didn't feel like talking. Eventually, he took a deep breath and looked up.

"Missy, if you don't mind me asking; why did you try to drown yourself? Why did you think that was the only way out?" He asked.

Missy's expression changed to a blank one, she stayed silent, she didn't want to talk about it at all. She just wanted to leave it behind he and move on.

Fire tapped Stephan on the shoulder.
"It's probably still a sensitive issue for her, I think she'll only talk about it with Grand." Fire whispered.

Grand looked at her, quickly trying to think of something to brighten her mood. "How about a song hmm? I have so many musicals up my sleeve its ludacris" She said with a smile. 'What are you feeling? saucy, evil, perhaps romantic? I can do any and all" She said dramatically, trying to get a smile out of Missy

He nodded. "I'm sorry... I think I need some fresh air." Stephan walked outside and went down to the same fountain Missy tried to drown herself in. He sat down on a bench near the fountain. He then took out a bit. "My only wish is for the world to be at peace. I wish for all of the violence and sadness to end." He then through threw the bit into the fountain, hoping his wish would actually come true.

"I'm sorry, Grand, I am, I'm making everypony around me feel bad." Missy said. "I guess suicide wasn't a good option, huh? I'd be taking away the pain, but I'd be leaving my friends in pain, that's something I'd never want to do." Missy looked at Grand in the eyes. "I don't need a song, I just need to spend time with my friends."

Grand sat down. "Well thats a shame, I had a good one picked out too. maybe another time" She said with a smile. "As long as your happy, thats what matters to me" She said warmly. "Lets spend time together then, though we wont be going anywhere, the snowstorms sure picked up"

Stephan felt the snow fall above him. It felt nice, but heavy. At least the fountain wasn't frozen yet. He began to walk back to the house, since he had no coat on or anything. He walked inside and put his jacket on.

"I'm gonna go outside and play around in the snow. Try to relive my Earth experiences." He said.

"I am feeling happy, it's just whenever I have time to think about things, all I see is....." Missy put her hoof in, then inhaled, then exhalled while putting her hoof out. "You know what I mean, I feel like doing something extremely girly, what do you have?"

 

"I'll come with you, these two are gonna have a "girl's night in" as some ponies might call it." Fire said, walking to the door.

Grand tapped her hooves. "Well youve gone and messed up your mane, that sounds like a makeover calling" She said happily. "And lucky for you, I know just the thing" She said happily. "Im going to show you the era of jazz, and its going to be marvelous!" She said happily, bounding off to her room to get makeup and hair products.

Stephan laughed. "Yeah, whatever, man." Stephan put something on his hooves that are meant to resemble gloves and put on a wool hat and a pair of snow goggles. He then took out a pair of red and blue skis. "Have you ever gone skiing before, Fire?" Stephan asked.

No, I haven't, it sounds dangerous though." Fire paused. "But then again, we spent about 10 years trying not to get killed by things ten times more dangerous, so...."

 

Missy sat there, clopping her hooves together while she waited for Grand to return, with what Celestia only knows.

Grand bounced down the stairs with all sorts of makeup tools and hair products. "Now, lets get that mane all fancied up! This is no ordinary makeup, youve got a stagepony working today`She said happily, picking up a brush and some bobby pins. ``Im thinking classic 20`s, Marelyn Monrow style, hmm?" She said before brushing it out and pinning it up in a classy vintage updo. "Yes, this works fantasitcally!" She said, having a bit too much fun

"Yeah, you could get hurt if you don't know what you're doing, but it's more fun than a barrel of monkeys if you do." Stephan said. "Although, it will require you to stand on your hind hooves in order to do it correctly. But, seriously, it's fun. I used to do it every Winter back on Earth." He said happily.

Missy couldn't help but giggle as Grand got into her element, it was nice to spend time with her.

"It looks great, I feel kind of silly with my mane like this." Missy said. "Oh well, I guess that's part of the fun isn't it?"

 

Caramel and Starburst were huddled together, the lack of a fireplace made the library a very cold place during the winter.

"You two look comfortable." Twilight said sarcastically.

"Yes, we are, thank you." Starburst said, shivering. Twilight sat a teapot down on a table.

"Here, have some tea, it'll warm you up a little." Twilight said, sitting down in a chair.

 

"I don't think I want to ski, It sounds cold. Especially in this weather, it looks to be a blizzard, do you really want to go out in that?" Fire asked.

Grand giggled. "Just wait until we get to costumes." She said before picking up a few makeup tools and getting to work. "Lets see, deep red lips, full eyeliner, lush mascara, defining blush... perfect!" She said happily. "You look like youve just stepped out of a jazz club!" She said joyfully. She started doing the same to herself

"Fine, Mr. Killjoy." Stephan put his skis back and sat down, slightly watching Grand cover Missy's face with makeup, but mostly tired. "Well, what do you feel like doing? I'm not going to drink for a while, not after last night." He asked with a sigh.

Grand laughed. "Yes, I guess its a bit much. Im used to putting enough on to show your expressions to giant room. You can wash it off if you would like, but I just love this so much" SHe said happily as she put on some lipstick.

 

Caramel turned to him. "No, I'm fine, just chilly" She said as she picked up the Teacup and thanked Twilight. she took a sip and smiled. "Its nice and warm. perfect"

"Fire, we're two completely different stallions; you make sure that safety is first and I like to live on the edge of everything. All we've ever done together as friends is having my first drink together, and even then, I end up getting drunk off my flank." He ended with a large breath. "Maybe we're not exactly meant to hand out."

"I guess that's something else you and Rarity have in common, I was thinking more in line with girly talk, I guess that's not a good idea." Missy said, then she thought of something. "I have an idea, why don't you do a little performance, it'll definitely cheer me up." Missy squuedat the thought.

 

Starburst nodded and gave her a kiss on the lips.

"Looks like our little trip is going to have to be delayed again if this weather doesn't let up."

Zeta was butt frozen from being outside too long. His fur was covered in snow, walking back to the house shivering and such. Though he thought it was worth it, since the memory haunting him seemed to escape for the time being.

So he slowly walked inside, opening up the door to see Grand putting on a little performance with Missy watching. He didn't want to attract any attention, so immediately he slowly crept away from everypony to somewhere warmer.
