Caramel helped him back up again. "You shouldn't be out of bed, I'm taking you back. It's not good for you to be walking around" she said, turning him back to the room

 

Grand opened her eyes only when she felt the snow on her hooves. She walked shakily across the street and sat down, still very angry and ashamed

Missy turned to Stephan and Light.

"Yes, it's absolutely fine, come in." Missy said, waving them to come in. "Where's Fire? I kinda wish Grand was here. Stupid mare, can't even put aside her fears for this." It was hard for her to stay mad at Grand though,

Fire walked into the room.

"Hi, how are you? Your magic scared almost everypony half to death." Fire said.

"Oh no, did I hurt anypony?" Missy asked.

"No, don't worry, everypony is fine." Fire repleid.

 

 

"I have to.....see my, sister, she takes priority right now." Starburst said, but didn't have the strength to resist Caramel.

 

"What's wrong? Missy is having a baby, and you can't even stand to be with her. Why?" Dash asked.

Course, there was Moon there to comfort her from behind.

"Hey, what's up?" She said to Grand before smiling. "You seem a little down all of a sudden, though I cant tell just from sight. Is it because you couldn't stay inside the hospital for Missy? Because it's still okay to be afraid."

Grand just sat on the curb and let out a sob. "Yes, yes I'm awful, I'm a terrible, horrible friend, I'm weak and cowardly and that's the only excuse I have" she said, her head in her hooves. "Go see the baby for me, don't stay out here for me, I don't deserve it"

 

Caramel put him back in his bed. "I promise you'll see her, but it's not worth risking your health over Starburst" she said, sitting next to him

Caramel put him back in his bed. "I promise you'll see her, but it's not worth risking your health over Starburst" she said, sitting next to him

"And you're just like me back when I would cry." She said while trying to not giggle, so instead Moon gave a soothing hug. "Really Grand, you know you're not like this at all. It's just your willpower drops dramatically because you see a hospital, but that's not something to keep you from seeing the baby. Life is a beautiful thing, you know?"

She sighed at that point, but didn't let it get in the way.

 

Meanwhile outside the room, there was a sickly Zeta and inside was Siri who sat near Fire.

"Uhm, Mister Fire?" She said to him, a little curious. "What's happening now?"

Starburst was about to protest but started coughing, a doctor came in to the room.

 

Fire kneeled down to Siri.

"Well, Missy is going to be having a baby." Fire said. "My daughter, Glint. You're all welcome to come by later and see her.

Missy started breathing fast, Fire went to her side, the magic brace, began to glow considerably as the magic was kept in. A weak magic bolt shot out of it.

 

Twilight walked to the desk.

"I'm here to see Missy Starlight, she's just gone into labour, I just found out." Twilight said.

"Alright, but who are you to her?" The pony asked.

"I'm her mother." Twilight said.

"Grand sort of... left." Stephan and Light walked into the room. and sat across from Missy.

"You caused quite a bit of noise in the town, Missy. I mean, you threw a bush into the air and sent it flying high into the sky." He said

"We came to make sure you were doing alright."

Grand tried to calm herself but didn't do a very good job. "No, I can't. You have no idea how much I wish I could but I just can't" she said wiping her eyes. "Don't let me stop you from seeing the baby, that'll make my conscience all the worst".

 

"Oh, doctor you need to check on starburst, he isn't doing well. Could you also tell his mother to bring the baby for him to see,he's very excited"

"I'm surprised I didn't do a lot more damage, last time I blew a hole in the library and I almost killed Applejack." Missy said.

 

"Well, the baby isn't born yet, and won't be for a while yet." The doctor said. "I have some news for Starburst, something we've noticed in his illness. Family only i'm afraid."

Siri smiled just after and jumped in the air a few times. "Yay, a new baby! I'll be sure to check it out once Missy has her!" She said before leaving to stand beside Zeta. "You hear that? I get to see Glint once she has her!"

Zeta just giggled a bit and patted Siri on the head. "That is good then, i'm happy you're happy."

 

Meanwhile with Moon, she shook her head and looked down. "Actually, i'm debating on it really. I don't exactly, urm.. Wanna see her really. To be honest it makes me depressed to, but I really don't want to say why. Don't put this on yourself Grand, seriously. I don't want you to be sad from this at all, since we'll just both have a negative downfall."

Caramel smiled. "I'm his wife, we married young, now tell me what's wrong, my snuggaboo is very precious to me" she lied without blinking.

Stephan was a bit perplexed to what the doctor said, but quickly caught on.
"Oh, sorry. I'll just head out for a moment." Stephan and Light left the room for the doctor to talk with Starburst about this 'illness.' He then walked outside to see Grand and Moon. Stephan then sat next to Grand and put a hoof on her shoulder. "Why don;t you want to be there for Glint's birth, Grand?" He asked.

Caramel smiled. "I'm his wife, we married young, now tell me what's wrong, my snuggaboo is very precious to me" she lied without blinking.

 

Grand sniffled. "Well, as long as it's not me holding you back I suppose. I just wish I didn't have this ridiculous fear, it's going to ruin me, I can just tell"

"Grand, it cant ruin you if you face your fear and try to conquer it." Moon replied to her and nudged her body a little, then gave a cute lick. "Now if you want to, we can start out slow and then make our way up. Heck, you'll get to see Missy's baby anyways once she comes back to the house so you wont have much to lose~"

Starburst was honestly astounded by Caramel.

"Alright then, Caramel, if you're sure you want to hear this." The doctor paused. "Starburst has.....lung cancer."

 

Dash put her hoof on Grand's shoulder.

"I'm sure she knows that you care, I'll go in and see her for you." Dash said. "Also for me, she's my niece, not biologically, but oh well." Dash smiled at Stephan before walking into the hospital.

Caramels smile quickly faded. "Lung cancer? How is that possible, he's only barely an adult" she said, grasping Starbursts hug tightly. "He-he's too young to have cancer"

 

Grand looked at Moon. "I went into the lobby today and that was more I could handle. I couldn't even move. I'm a coward, and I've already done more than I can handle today "

"That's the thing, nopony is too young to have cancer, it can be terminal in some cases, but luckily, we caught it early, so it is completely treatable, we're going to have to take an x-ray to be sure, but we believe there may be a small tumor on his lung." The doctor said.

 

Missy stopped, the contraction.

"Where's Grand? I want all of my friends here." Missy said, sadly.

Caramels smile quickly faded. "Lung cancer? How is that possible, he's only barely an adult" she said, grasping Starbursts hug tightly. "He-he's too young to have cancer"

 

Grand looked at Moon. "I went into the lobby today and that was more I could handle. I couldn't even move. I'm a coward, and I've already done more than I can handle today "

She gave a little laugh and paused for the moment after, hugging Grand while nibbling on her ear. "That's a good start then! Now you know where you limit is, so we'll start by getting close to the hospital for a bit. You can meditate there until you think you're ready to step closer alright?"

Grand took a deep breath. "I want to be there Stephan, I want to be there more than anything, but I can't. I tried and I failed horribly. I had to be carried out if the hospital because I couldn't do it myself"

 

Caramel looked at Starburst. "So... He's going to be okay? How quickly can we get rid if it?" She asked, looking at Starburst worriedly

"But why? Why can't you be there?" Stephan asked. "There's absolutely no reason to be scared or worried about this. Starburst's sister is finally entering the new Equestria. Seeing her for the first time, right in the hospital, will make you happy, Grand." He said in an assuring tone.

"Well, once we locate it, we can operate on it, then there's a very high chance the cancer will clear." The doctor said. "Though, since it isn't in an advanced stage, you don't really have cancer at all. Not if we stop it right now." The doctor walked out.
Starburst turned to Caramel. "I know I should be worried about the cancer but......is that where you see our relationship going? Marriage? Or was it just a clever trick and I'm just being ridiculous?"

 

Twilight appeared at the door of Missy's room.

"Hi Mum." Missy said.

"It's been a while since I've seen you like this." Twilight joked. "You were no older than Starburst is now."

Grand stared at the hospital for awhile. She looked back at Stephan and Moon. "You two might have to drag me in there kicking and screaming, but I'll try again. I just.... I'll need help" she said, standing up and looking at it warily. She slowly forced herself closer until she got to the door and she stopped. "Would you kindly... Open the door for me? I can't lift my hooves"

 

Caramel giggled. " I thought it would be weird to say we were siblings, but it was a pretty easy lie to tell" she said, kissing him in the forehead

"I have to say, it's nice having you here, I don't think I would've been able to handle it." Starburst put his hoof on Caramel's and kissed her. Immediately after. he began to cough. "Sorry....we'll have to delay this little make-out session."

 

Twilight sat next to Missy.

"Are you doing alright? The girls are in the reception if you want to see any of them." Twilight said.

 

In the reception, the rest of the mane 6 were sitting in a group.

"I was so surprised when this happened, I knew she was pregnant, I just didn't realise how soon it would be." Pinkie said.

Light held the door open for Grand and let her inside. Once everypony was in, Stephan and Light stayed beside her, Just to make sure she doesn't freak out. They really didn't want to drag her through the hospital and into Missy's room. That'd be just plain silly.

Grand was shaking and her breathing went shallow. She snapped her eyes shut and leaned against the two. "Just hurry up and bring me there" she said with a shaky voice. She clung to both of them tightly as she clumsily made her way through the hospital. "I don't know if I can go any further" she said, taking quick breaths

 

Caramel pouted. " well that's a shame, I guess I'll have to wait" she giggled. " I'm just happy you're going to be okay"
