"Yes of course, the dear is always welcome with me" Grand said before heading for the door. She opened the door to see a doctor wheeling Starburst away. She scowled and walked up to the doctor. "The least you could do is alert the boys parents before taking him in" She said, looking at him. "How serious is this?"

 

Caramel looked to see Grand going after them. "Well Missy, it looks like he's going in now"

"Ahhhh, Grand, always good to see you." The doctor said. "....it's not too serious but we want to make sure it doesn't develop any further than it has, that way, lung cancer is out of the scenario. Well, I mean, before it becomes dangerous and needs chemo-therapy, or worse, terminal."

 

"Don't worry, he'll be fine." Missy smiled at Caramel.

"I don't think taking Pinkie with us would be a good idea." Stephan said. "If she's there with us, he'll see right past our plan. Because once he sees her, he'll likely take the opportunity to go in for the kill. We should probably take Twilight. She could conjure up a spell to make a duplicate of Pinkie, or some egghead stuff like that, I don't know. That's her and Light's territory."

"Fine, as long as he's fine, but alerting his parents before you operate on him might have been a good idea. How long is this surgery going to take and how complicated is it?" She asked, shuffling Glint with her magic to make her more comfortable. 

 

"Well, um, I'll leave you to sleep then. I'm gonna head back to my room" She said before leaving and getting back into bed.She fiddled with her hooves nervously

Moon lied in bed, slowly waking up from everything and groaned a bit. She was hurting all across her body, but remembered what happened and sighed.

"My baby, I cant let any other pony suffer the same fate as her.." She said and began to tear a bit, but wiped it away and got out of bed slowly. "Missy? Someone, can anyone direct me to her room?"

"Yes, good idea, Twilight will create an illusion of Pinkie sitting somewhere in town, then we ambush him, how does that sound?" Dash looked up at Stephan, pumped up for action.

 

"I'll see you later Caramel." Missy called after her.

 

"Since it's on the lung, it's fairly complex, but it should only take a few hours, give or take." The doctor said.

"So youre telling me he is gauranteed to get through this surgery?" She said, looking at the passed out Starburst as they reached the surgery room. 

 

Caramel stared up at the roof and tapped her hooves together impatiently. She sighed and got up, starting to walk around the hospital to waste some time

"Haha, you know it, Dash! Let's do this!" Stephan said in an over-confident tone. Stephan and Rainbow Dash... dashed back to city hall to ask Twilight for her help. "Darn it. I really wanted to use the tracker device." Stephan thought. "Oh well. With the three of us, this should be over quick."

"Everything is likely to go to plan. So yes, he'll make it through the surgery." The doctor re-assured. "You should stay hopeful."

 

Missy lay her head back, she was so tired she just fell asleep right then and there.

 

Fire arrived at Sugarcube Corner with Pinkie.

"Okay, you up for a party?" Fire asked. "It's my guess Starburst won't be out until tomorrow, we've got plenty of time."

"Yup, let's get this party prepared." Pinkie said.

 

"Twilight! We need your magical egg-head powers to help us get this guy." Dash said.

"I'm not an egg-head....and it all depends on what you need." Twilight said, glaring at Rainbow Dash.

Grand just huffed and walked into the waiting room. She sat down and put Glint on her lap. "Arent you just the sweetest little thing. Auntie Grand's gonna spoil you like crazy" She said, smiling at the little filly

 

Caramel was walking through one of the hallways when she ran into Moon. "Oh, sorry, didnt see you there. I'm kinda distracted right now" She said

Grand just huffed and walked into the waiting room. She sat down and put Glint on her lap. "Arent you just the sweetest little thing. Auntie Grand's gonna spoil you like crazy" She said, smiling at the little filly

 

Caramel was walking through one of the hallways when she ran into Moon. "Oh, sorry, didnt see you there. I'm kinda distracted right now" She said

Moon tumbled a bit, but stood up and realized it was Caramel from the voice. "It's alright, i'm kind of distracted myself anyways.. From, the thing that happened just now."

She shook her head, holding back any tears that tried coming out and lightly banged her head across the wall for a bit. "My instincts saved that baby, because.... I, just felt like.. I needed to."

"Save the baby? Is that what that ruckus was about? I was wondering what all the yelling was about. Well, whatever you did for Glint, it mustve been pretty important. Are you lost? You seem a little out of the way, I can take you back to your room if you want me to" caramel said, scratching her neck

Stephan decided to explain for Dash.

"It's simple, really." Stephan said with a smirk. "We need you to create an illusion of Pinkie Pie so we can lure this psychotic griffon into our trap. Once he's in, me and Dash will ambush him and bring him down. We just need you to draw him in."

"Save the baby? Is that what that ruckus was about? I was wondering what all the yelling was about. Well, whatever you did for Glint, it mustve been pretty important. Are you lost? You seem a little out of the way, I can take you back to your room if you want me to" caramel said, scratching her neck

"No no, i'm fine. It's just, taking all of it in is hard. You know, trying to restart Glint's heartbeat with an electrical... Bolt, yet, I'm, a, Pegasus.."

After then, Moon really wanted to separate away from everypony at that instant, slowly catching herself start to walk away from Caramel. "Anyway, I.. Just, gotta go outside. Need fresh air.."

"Yep, we need your help Twilight." Dash said, hugging Stephan. "We're gonna make one hell of a team you and I, it'll be like old times.....again.."

Twilight rolled her eyes. "Fine, I'll help, but can you please stop calling me egg-head?"

"Fine, let's just go, we have to attract him to Appeloosa." Dash said.

 

(Is a time-skip of a few hours OK? Just tell me and I'll decided from there.)

The sudden hug from Rainbow Dash surprised him. He couldn't help but blush a little and let out a few chuckles.

"It's settled then. C'mon, let's go!" With that, Stephan and the gang began to jet off to Appleoosa.

Moon slowly walked out of the hospital, completely avoiding Grand and the baby to step outside. It almost felt like a heart attack when she got out, releasing all tears and fell to the floor with a thud.

Yes, she was crying. And crying really badly.

"Alright, Twilight, be ready with the spell, once his contacts tell him where Pinkie is, it's only a matter of time before he shows." Dash said. "Stephan, we lure him into the streets, we pincer him, there's no way this can fail. Just have the tracking device ready just in case it does, though."

 

Starburst woke up a small while later, he propped himself up on his bed.

 

Missy was still asleep, she was extremely tired.

Grand and Caramel entered Starbursts room quietly. Caramel smiled and ran up to him, hugging him. "I'm so glad you're okay, how are you feeling?" She asked, pulling herself up into his bed.

 

Grand looked at her sister. "Caramel be careful, he just had surgery. Well, it's good to see you're alright. There's a new little filly just dieing to meet you" she said, holding Glint up to the bed

Starburst looked at Glint.

"Oh, she's lovely, she's....." Starburst looked at her. ".....she's just the most perfect thing I've ever seen." A smile spread across his face. He took Glint into his hooves.

"Hello, I'm your brother, Starburst."

 

(After everything is done, the assassin is dead and Starburst's birthday is over, I'm planning something.)

Where Moon was, she was out back. Still crying from the time of the hospital all the way home.

Just thinking about that time haunted her once more, it was a horrible feeling of even becoming pregnant again to let a life enter the world then leave again. She almost couldn't stand it anymore, and it nearly drove her insane.

Eventually, Moon started to shake and huddled up in the cold snow. Her dead eyes had become small, sitting there with her mouth opened and all voice was still going. Though no one would be there for her, which included her husband since he was still in Canterlot.

 

Meanwhile, Siri had gone to bed on the couch of Grand's house and Zeta was just going around town, doing his own thing to get his mind off Grand. He had lost the thought about killing himself if the two never came together, since he figured he'd live his life out in peace unless something really did change.

"Aah.. This, really feels relaxing." He said with a smile. "Look at that. Missy has a new and very cute baby, Starburst just got his cancer removed like mine, and i'm feeling happy for some reason. I guess, things are just doing well~"

"Alright, we've not got much time to pull this off, Azrael should be here within about 15 minutes, let's set up." Dash said. "Twilight, get to work on the decoy, Stephan, on me. In the clock tower." Dash said, but then realising that sounded wrong, but decided to not birng it up.

 

Starburst felt a pain in his chest, must be the recent surgery. He kissed Caramel.

"How are you? You seem a lot better. How's my mum, is she alright?"

Stephan nodded and smirk.

"Let's get this show on the road." In a red blur, Stephan jetted to the clock tower and got to the top via running alongside it. He took out the tracking device and a slingshot, In case he escaped, he would shoot the Light's device right into the side of the griffon.

Dash nodded to Stephan.

"Okay." Dash nodded over to Twilight who placed a distressed-looking Pinkie decoy in the street.

Soon enough, they would strike, Dash flew over to the decoy and hid in a shop close to it.

 

Azrael landed underneath the clock tower, making sure he couldn't be seen by the fake Pinkie, he snuck up on it, just as he was about to strike, he noticed something odd.

Dash took out the knife she was planning to use, then flew full force at Azrael and stabbed him in the neck. Something felt wrong though, Dash looked down and saw a spear-like weapon, it had impaled her. She fell to the side of Azrael.

 

"RAINBOW!!" Twilight yelled as she ran out to help her.

Azrael grabbed her by the throat.

"Where is Pinkie Pie?!" Azrael demanded.

Grand smiled tiredly. "You two can take care if the baby for a few moments right? I need a quick break" she said before walking out of the room and outside. Suddenly she looked to her side to see Moon curled up in the snow. "Moon, whatever are you doing? You're going to get sick laying in the snow like that" she said, helping her up

 

Caramel smiled. "Yeah, she's fine. She's just really tired. She'll probably be awake soon
