After a bit, Moon finally exited Caramel's room and carried a half full of a small pot with her. She set it on the counter with a thud and panted a bit, before returning her old posture and went to Missy/Grand. "Do we have any gallon bottles around here? Just asking." She then nuzzled Glint and smiled.

"Don't be silly. She knows her Aunt Grandy loves her." Missy said. "And I think that's a great idea, we've been meaning to for a while now, and Glint's almost off of me having to feed her, you know......."

 

Fire smiled at the two of them, he knew Missy and Grand were good friends, but it made him feel happy to see that Missy had somepony else to hang out with.

Grand looked over at Moon. "Um, a bottle? I'm not sure there's really a need to store that" she said, gesturing to the pot. "I don't have any baby bottles. I never had a need to purchase them" she said, looking back at Missy. "How js Glint doing with walking and talking anyhow? She's a very quick baby"

"Well, she's barely said a word to me or done anything other than sleep, she doesn't even cry, that should be what a child does, but she isn't." Missy said. "Although she does lick me on occasion, I think that's just a sort of way for her to show me, that she does love me."

Glint then woke up and looked at Grand, she stayed very silent, just looking into her eyes.

"Hey there little one, this is your Aunt Grandy, she's going to be very important to you." Missy said.

"Gran.....dy..." Glint stuck her arms out and squealed. "Grandy!"

"Well.. I did say gallon bottles, jugs to be honest." Moon replied to Grand and changed the word to correct herself. "I'll go off and find one, it's kay." Then she rummaged through the fridge and looked around a bit. She found some orange juice, expired already, so she dumped out what was left and rinsed it throughly before finishing. Then she took the pot, slowly pouring in all the milk from inside until it was all inside.

A perfect gallon.

 

"What do you know? We have lots of milk, for all of us and the baby~" She stuck it back in the fridge and clapped her hooves.

Starburst followed after Caramel.

"I really don't think it's the best idea keeping it from her, but I know we have to." Starburst said. "What are we going to do about your father?" Starburst whispered.

 

Missy looked between Fire and Moon, she was still a little uneasy about this new situation.

"I'm never doing that again, Moon." Missy said grumpily.

 

Luna was sat on her bed, reading a book, it was about magic.

"Hyperion, are you still up there?" Luna asked.

Grand looked over at moon. She would have to label it before someone... Mistook it for something else. "I could take her to the doctors office if you would like, unless you would rather do it yourself of course. She is yours after all" she said, smiling when Glnt said her name

 

"I don't know, I wasn't exactly planning on my father showing up after fifteen years" she said, irritated at his sudden arrival. "Seriously, the least he could do was send a letter"

Moon just cocked her head and giggled. "Never doing what again hon? You mean, the, bed thing..?"

 

Zeta nodded and jumped from the roof, landing on the balcony before looking up to Luna. "Of course i'm still up there Princess, why wouldn't I be~? So is there anything you want Luna?"

"You know what I'm talking about Moon, and don't call me hon, either." Missy replied, again grumpy.

"Missy, what's wrong?" Fire asked. "Just a minute ago...."

"Just, I have to ask something, and it's pretty important." Missy said, getting up from her chair.

 

"It's nothing, I just don't want you to catch a cold, anyway, come in, close the door." Luna said, looking up at Zeta and smiling.

Zeta nodded and shut the doors to the balcony, then turned back to Luna. "I can stay out there without getting a cold Princess, it's alright. I would care about your safety more then mine, and.. You probably know that, heh. I guess there is no arguing with you, since I willingly obey every command. Anyways... What should we do? I know you don't want me to catch a cold, but.."

"It's less of a question but more of an ultimatum." Missy said. "I can't stand to see you two, anywhere near each other. So, Fire, either you have nothing to do with that child, or I leave, right now. It's as simple as that." Missy stood her ground.

"You can't possibly expect me to choose between my child and you, that just isn't fair." Fire said, getting up from the chair.

"Well, I am, you'd better make a decision." Missy said, staring right into his eyes.

"Well, I choose the child, I won't abandon it, it's mine and there's nothing I can do to change that." Fire said. Missy's ears dropped.

"Fine. Goodbye Fire. It's over." Missy said, turning around and walking out the door, Missy's legs began to twitch as she got a small distance away, her entire body turned a grey, almost sad color.

 

"We're spending time together." Luna said. "Believe it or not, a thousand year old alicorn gets lonely."

"A lonely thousand year old Alicorn.. I can see what you mean." He sat down and smiled to Luna, wagging his little tail. "So when you mean spending time... What exactly do you mean? Is there anything you want to do with me that involves such? Because I don't have an idea on what it would be."

Grand was shocked at what just happened. She never thought something like that would ever happen. Grand held Glint close to her as she chased after Missy. "Missy, please wait, let's talk" she said, taking her scarf and bundling glint up with it. "Please, just wait for me dear" she called after her

"Well, we've known each other for a little while, why don't you try and guess what I'm thinking about?" Luna said. "Come on, I get ever so lonely after all this time." Luna looked about ready to pounce him.

 

Missy ignored Grand and instead began walking faster, grumbling all the while.

Zeta looked down and thought for a moment, what Luna wanted to do with him. "Um.. I guess, raise the moon with you? Maybe talk about some more things, or.. We could play some games too, possible board games if you want, but I don't know if you're interested in that.. Hm... Yeah, I can't guess..~" He looked back up and cocked a head after looking to Luna. "Why do you look like that Princess?"

Grand sighed. "Please Missy, I want to help" she called, but she knew she wouldn't be able to catch up to her. She looked down at Glint. "Don't worry dearie, mommy and daddy will figure it out" she said quietly, looking out to the direction Mussy had stormed away. "At least I hope so"

Luna fell face first to the floor, she sighed.

"Never mind, let's just calm down, calm down..."  Luna said producing a fan and fanning herself. "A board game or something sounds good."

 

"There's nothing you can help with, now go away, go back to leading Zeta on with your uncertainty and your pathetic 'I don't know what to do' attitude." Missy said cruelly.

"Hm?" Zeta giggled a little bit. "Do you need a fan Princess Luna? And shall I go ahead and get the chess game from the shelf?" He stood up and walked over to it, picking it up. It was folded in half like a case, and the chess pieces were inside which he brought back to Luna and begun setting up.

Grands face fell. "I... Well... I never realized it irritated you so. In that case, I'll leave you to brood then" she said, trying to keep a calm demeanour, but failing. "Let me know when you're a little more prepared to talk" she said, turning around, hurt. "I hope you figure out whatever you need to figure out, but don't ask me. It seems I'm incapable if making decisions anyways" she said numbly before walking away

"Yeah, you do that, just cower away from your problems like the pathetic little pony that you are." Missy snapped. "Maybe then you'll become something more than just a coward." Missy walked away, grumbling.

 

"Zeta!" Luna yelled, levitating a pillow over to her and biting into it.

Zeta stopped setting up the chess pieces and looked up, seeing Luna bite down into her pillow. He cocked his head again and wondered what was up. "Um.. Princess, Luna? You're biting in your pillow.. Is this some kind of game? Are you just, doing it for fun..?"

Grand didn't turn around, but every word hurt more than the last. She held Glint right before returning home. On the table, a letter with the royal stamp sat on her table. She opened it, and a flood of relief filled her as she read about Zetas safety. Missy's words echoed in her head as she sat down to write a letter to Zeta

 

Dearest Zeta,

I won't take up too much of your time, but it has recently dawned on me the status of our relationship and I must apologize. I have been unfair, and you deserve better. I often lead you on but please believe me when I say I love you with all my heart. I hope you find a mare deserving of you, as I am not her. I'm sorry

Grand Finale

 

Grand wiped her eyes before dropping the letter in the mailbox. She kissed Glint on the forehead and sat in the couch sadly

"No, Zeta, I just have to control myself, I usually do. Just keep setting it up." Luna said, continuing to bite the pillow.

 

Fire just stood there, unmoving, he was waiting for Grand to come back. Missy wouldn't leave, not like this.

Starburst entered. "I heard something happening, what? Where's mum?" Starburst asked, then looking to Grand. "Where is she?"

Zeta awkwardly nodded and continued setting up. He put the white sides opposite from him to use the black chess pieces so he could let Luna have the first move. "Are you ready to play Luna? I haven't played this game in so long, but I hope I was still as good as I was before..~"

Grand didn't look up. "I don't know. She just kept walking. She's... Changed" she said, looking at Glint. "I don't know when she's coming back"

 

Caramel followed starburst and looked at her sister. "We can't tell her now, just look at her! She looks like a kicked puppy for Celestias sake" she whispered in Starbursts ear
