Grand kicked the two changelings off Missy and cast a spell that killed a few more. She quickly helped Missy before kicking a Changeling sneaking up behind her. "Lets get these heathens before they pull anymore tricks" She said, determined

 

Caramel Looked at Starburst then looked at the door to the basement. "Well if you wont go down, then neither will I" She said, mustering up the magic she had left from carrying Moon and Sirius down and put it towards Starburst spell, making the sheild just a little bit stronger

"Right, we have to get Celestia out of there." Missy said, using a spell to detach the Chrysalis from the wall.

Celestia burst out from the green mess.

"Hello? What's going on?" Celestia asked.

"There's no time, we're all in danger." Missy said. "Follow us!"

 

Fire ran in and stood next to Stephan. Then he wondered what the hell he was doing.

 

Starburst wanted to protest but that would just take more effort that he couldn't spare. The changelings were attacking the shield.

Zeta looked to the bundled up Luna and sighed, then decided to give her another hug. "Luna.. Are you alright? Do you need me to give you anything, that will satisfy you? I'm your personal guard, so you tell me anything to do and i'll do it for you, because that's who I am.."

Stephan looked over to Fire.

"We need to find Princess Celestia and get her here. Grand and Missy went down into the caverns to retrieve her. Until she comes back, we have to hold the changelings off." The changelings got into a battle stance and began jumping at the two. Stephan began throwing fast fists to their faces.

Fire stumbled backwards before shooting a fire spell at one of them that had jumped his way.

 

Luna looked to Zeta.

"I don't know, I feel as if I'm remembering some things." She moved a little closer to him. "Are we together? Because I remember me, on top of you, and...."

"I...." Zeta was at a loss for words just then, since he too remembered about what had happened with Luna that time playing chess. It felt awkward, but he had to tell the truth. "That was... I, don't know if we were together or not.. I, I, er, um... Yes! Wait, no... I can't figure it out.."

Grand followed Missy, keeping her eye on the Princess. "Chrysalis has taken the appearance of Luna, you need to stop her before it's too late!" She said, running up to where chrysalis was fighting Fire and Stephan

 

Caramel kept her magic string, but the changelings attacking the force field were beginning to wear her down. "I don't know how you do this, it's exhausting" she said tiredly

Stephan and Fire were fighting off the changeling army when Grand and Missy came back with Celestia.

"Guys, princess, thank goodness you're all here!" Stephan said, knocking out another changeling, nearly breaking all of it's teeth. "Celestia, that isn't your sister! It's Chrysalis! You need to cast something on her to disable her changing abilities!"

"Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be so rude." Luna said. "I just had to ask. But 

 

Celestia simply walked over to the battle.
"Everypony STOP!" She commanded. "There's another way to do this, nopony needs to fight."

"Laughable, you should know more than anypony that violence is the only way to do things, I have her memories, I know what you did to her." Chrysalis boomed. "Come on then and fight me then. 'Sister'"

"I will not fight you, Chrysalis!" Celestia said. Chryslis shrugged and fired a shot at her but Celestia dodged, it gtazed past Fire and hit him on the flank, burning his cutie mark.

 

Starburst was beginning to get a little bit tired. He looked up to the changelings who were still firing their magic, eventually one of them would get tired.

"No, no no no no no! You're not being rude Princess, it's alright to ask me that question.." He replied back and looked to Luna. It was hard to deny he liked her a little bit, and was trying his best to speak the truth. "It's just... Eh, I... Maybe, we... Are together..?--" Then he stopped, turning around to look away for a bit.

Stephan's eyes widened when the shot hit Fire in the flank.

"Fire, stand your ground." Stephan positioned himself in a battle stance. It didn't seem like things were gonna be going well for long. He took a stand, ready to fight Chrysalis if she got out of line.

Celestia flew up into the air and hovered.

"Stop this at once, Chrysalis or I will have to use lethal force." Celestia said. "And it won't be like before, I will win."

"Oh but you're not facing me, you're facing your sister." Chrysalis and Celestia both fired at each other causing a clash of magic, two beams, occasionally shooting out sparks, damaging the palace each time.

 

"STOP!" Missy yelled. The two alicorns stopped fighting and looked down at her.

"What is the meaning of this?" Chrysalis yelled.

 

"You both have to see there's more than one way out of this. Just stop the fighting, you can negotiate." Missy explained. "We have to give you another chance, everypony deserves to live in peace. Why invade? Why now?" Chrysalis was ready to kill Missy, but she sighed and took away the disguise.

 

"My species is dying, and we need food to reproduce, but we have none, as you know, changelings feed on love." Chrysalis explained. "We have to invade or die."

Something triggered in Moon when Chrysalis said that.

 

Before, she was lying in bed with a draining fever of 104.2, going down ever so slowly. Moon suddenly stood up, her eyes cold and wide as ever as she scrambled up and out of the basement. Tears formed around her as she ran through the house and burst through the door. "CHRYSSI!! CHRYSSIIIII!!!" She came in contact with the barrier and begun to bang hard on it, wanting out.

"Well, we can't exactly give you that, but we can give you one thing; a chance to rebuild." Stephan said, walking up to the Queen. "Love can't be the only thing you all feed on. I mean, deep down, you're not abominations of Equestria. You're like any other being here. As long as you can be understood, we can all live peacefully."

Starburst had to stop before he lost his magic entirely. He fell to the ground and looked up to Caramel as the shield faded.

"I'm sorry." He said.

 

Just as Chrysalis took away the disguise, Luna jumped up and ran out of the room, she flew through the roof of the house, tearing it almost into pieces.

"Stop this attack now or be destroyed." She yelled, eyes glowing white

"Luna, I would advise you to cease attack. Chrysalis will do so as well." Stephan said, putting a hoof on Luna's shoulder. "All Chrysalis wants to do is rebuild her society. We're wanting her to start over, turn over a new leaf. I think we would be the best ponies to help them on that track."

Moon ran through the changelings with a burst of speed, then took off for flight and pulsed.

 

Pulsing, where she took off and immediately made a sonic rainboom (( or a lunar crescent shot from Moon's perspective, since it was a revolving crescent behind her )) to fly all the way to the castle. She stopped at the entrance, barging in with tears everywhere as she jumped to Chrysalis. "Chryssii!!"

Chrysalis was surprised by this sudden attack.

"Who....what?" Chrysalis yelled. "You. Moon Wave, it's actually you! I though you'd died during the outbreak."

 

The changelings fled and turned back in the direction of Canterlot.

"Princess Luna! What's going on?" A voice asked below, it was Twilight.

"Ah, Princess Twilight, you must gather what is left of the citizens and control these fires, the enemy forces are retreating." Princess Luna said, taking a deep breath, then she realised she didn't have her royal outfit on.

Moon hugged tightly around Chrysalis and began crying a ton on her. All she could say was her friend's name over and over again, but eventually she dropped on the floor again from being too weak. "C-Chryssi... I miss you.. Aren't we, still at peace, because we're friends..?"

"Friends?" Missy asked.

"Yes, believe it or not, I do actually have one friend, my little Moon Wave right here." Chrysalis levitated her up and gave her a big hug.

"Well, that was unexpected." Fire said, then turning to see his flank, his cutie mark was completely unrecognisable on one flank. "Great."

 

"Caramel?" Starburst asked, attempting to get up.

Moon just smiled and let Chrysalis hug her tightly, as she leaned on her body and nuzzled in. "Chryssi... I'm sick, with the fever.. It's going down, but I came to you because I haven't seen you in so long.. How is my sweetie doing, my beautiful queen..?" She said, trying to look up.

Chrysalis looked around at the ruined palace. She sighed.

"I apologise for this and I will do anything in my power to help fix the damage but.... I still don't have much of a future." Chrysalis said. "My species will die out without it's main source of food."

"I'm sure you can find something else." Missy said, breathing a sigh of relief.

"Well, like I said, Chrysalis, we can't give you exactly what you need, but we could probably get you something to get by." Stephan turned to the others and he smiled. "You guys think that we should give a few things to Chrysalis and her army? They deserve a second chance, especially in the Equestria we live in now."

Celestia and Chrysalis walked to the centre of the room.

"What do you say there, Celestia? Care to give us another chance?" Chryslis asked with an awkward grin. Celestia raised an eyebrow.

 

"If you can accept that fighting is not the only way to survive, then we will do what we can to help your kind." Celestia replied, shaking her hoof.

"Alright, changelings, retreat." Chrysalis said, all the changelings then flew back to their own kingdom. "I'll be back Moon Wave, my friend." She said, smiling before flying away.

Stephan walked up to Princess Celestia and took a knee in her presence 

"Thank you for helping us save our home, Princess Celestia." Stephan said. "Defeat Chrysalis and having her turn over a new leaf probably wouldn't be possible without you here."
