"That's good to hear then." Zeta replied. "It's sad to hear about your sister, but aside from that I guess it is good to take a break once in a while from searching. Mainly because it's very dangerous, you know?"

He gave a little yawn just before replying, and shook himself a little. Coming back seemed like a good thing now, maybe he could stick with the team instead of separating from his own thing,

"I'm glad to hear that somepony cared about me, really. Note to you, no one really knows me well except Lady so I don't expect things like that. Also, how is your leg doing? I remember a while back that you had to cut it off or something."

Josh sliced through the first trotter of the herd that was chasing him "knew ponyville was a bad idea" he muttered to himself. The trotters were closing on him from all sides. biting down on a pelet he had created smoke encases them but this wasnt enough. As josh reaced the end of the smoke the herd was still going strong. Panicking slightly he opened his wings and flew high into the sky looking for a safe place to hide

Stephan ran through Equestria's plains to the volcano so he could dispose of the sword. As he was running, he passed through Ponyville. Trotters were everywhere. "Aw, yeah! This should be fun!" Within a minute, every trotter in the area was taken down. He also noticed a familiar face. "Josh! Is that you?"

Josh sat in the middle of a pile of corpses panting when he heard a voice. Seeing a pony he stared keeping grip of his battered katana in case there was trouble "who are you your voice is familier but i dont recognise you" Josh kept trying to place the pony as someone he recognised not taking his eyes of him

"Whoa, whoa, settle down, Josh." Stephan said. He then took off his mask "It's me. Stephan. Remember from eight years ago? Grand, Fire, and Starburst went to Canterlot, and I went... on my own." Stephan hoped that something would spark in Josh's memory. He just hoped.

Fire Horn and Starburst were walking the early streets of Canterlot, on their way to... hopefully the solution to this mess. They arrived in the section marked "Ancient Scrolls and Tomes", containing ancient magics and legends, just maybe, there was something in here.

 

(I have a half-day of school on Mondays. Yay!)

"Life's been so normal huh.. So I guess Canterlot is now the only place for a safe Civilization?" He laughed a bit, but shook his head and continued. "But you're safe from everything pretty much, right? I'm just hoping this place doesn't fall either, but from the looks of it I think a Princess is controlling this area."

Missy heard voices down at the spare room. She turned the corner and saw Zeta. She froze and smiled awkwardly.

Fire Horn was looking through the scrolls, careful not to damage anything, all of this stuff ranged from 100 to 100'000 years old. Civilization had been around for many years.

Missy heard voices down at the spare room. She turned the corner and saw Zeta. She froze and smiled awkwardly.

"Um, who are you?" Missy asked.

A couple instances later, there was another pony awkwardly staring at Zeta, which he looked back at her and replied. "Why, I used to be part of the original group." He said. "But I split with them a long while back to live in Trottingham. It's a mess now since all since the inside collapsed and the supplies are probably gone, but I managed to take some ammo and such."

"Oh, i was at Trottingham, i had no idea what had happened to it though. I hope all the children got our of there safely." Missy said. "Anyway, i've got to get to the school, i'll see you two later, i think."

 

-Transition-

 

There was a massive tome about a great incident that occured thousands of years ago, before ponies existed.
"Starburst, come here and see this." Fire Horn said, sitting the book down on a table.

"What did you find, Dad?" Starburst asked, flying down from a tall bookcase.

"I found this, let me read it out." Fire Horn said, beginning to read:

 

Long ago, very long ago, approximately 6'700 years ago, there was a great plague that washed over the land, raising the dead and turning them into soulless creatures. The last remaining humans used their might and intelligence to craft a solution that would cleanse the infected from the land. But one of great magical power would have to be sacrificed, the humans had none, so they were forced to lock it away in the farthest reaches of the lands, only to emerge once the need arose.

 

"Oh gosh, that sounds awful." Starburst said. "What are humans, though?"

Grand huffed. "I suppose Missy wouldnt mind if I offered you anything" she said, walking into the kitchen and locating a coffee machine. "I'm sure your exhausted, would you like a cup?" she asked, taking out two cups. "oh! You didnt happen to see Josh out on your travels did you? he left a long time ago and none of us have seen him"

Zeta shook his head to respond. "No thank you, I don't enjoy coffee anymore since it never really worked for me."

The thought of her mentioning Josh though. He's seen many ponies similar to him, but none that were.

"I'm sorry, but I haven't seen him." He replied. "But to say that he is still alive surprises me."

After Missy left the two, she went to the bathroom to shower.

 

-10 minutes later-

 

She was in her room styling her mane as she usually does, it was a very messy fashion to have your hair in, a streak running through it.

It was done, it wasn't perfect but it would do. She came down to the kitchen where the two were.

"Hello, guys. I'm just leaving now, to go to work. Make sure the house is safe until Fire Horn gets back." Missy said, before turning and leaving.

 

-Transition-

 

"We have to get this information to Princess Celestia right away." Fire Horn said.

 

(SOL right now, but i hope you guys don't mind me implicating Celestia or Luna in this.)

"I don't know. Josh as always been a weird pony like that." Zeta mentioned. "But he is a fantastic helper and medic. I guess it is pretty weird for him to not come to Canterlot.."

 

After Missy left the two, she went to the bathroom to shower.

At that time, Missy came downstairs and said a few words. All he did was nod toward her and watch as she walked out the door, then turned back to Grand.

"She is a quick one, isn't she?"

"I would like to agree with you, but Ive only met her recently. I dont know much about her, although she is quite a gracious host" she smiled. "She seems very hardworking, and a lovely pony" she answered. She took out the note that Stephan had left. "That idiot left to who knows where all by himself" she said to Zeta, hoping to blow off some steam. "That colt couldnt stay in one place if his life depended on it!"

Stephan shook his head. "At least not anymore." He carefully unsheathed the sword. "I'm going to the volcano and melting it so we never have to worry about it ever again." Stephan walked up to the pegasus and held out his hoof. "If you come with me, you can come back to Canterlot. Everyone is back there."

josh stayed sitting and frowned when stephen mentioned canterlot.

"ill follow you to the volcano but after that i can not go with you to canterlot im sorry" josh looked at the ground sadley as he said this.

"if you want give me that sword ill.save you the trouble and you can return to evryone"

The throne room was quiet that day, save fore a couple of Royal Guards. The door burst open suddenly. The guards turned their weapons towards him.

"Stand down." A voice across the dark throne room called out. A figure moved out from the shadows, it was Princess Luna.

"Fire Horn, what brings you here? It seems urgent." Fire Horn pulled the book out of his saddlebag.

"In the far-off land of Bruchellia, a race of creatures existed called humans, they figured out a way to stop this.  To save us all." Fire Horn explained. Luna started reading but shook her head and closed the book.

"We can't sacrifice any of our citizens to go on a wild goose-chase to Bruchellia, just on the off-chance there might be a solution there." Princess Luna sighed. "But... if your mind is set on this, you have access to the Canterlot Castle Armory, you'll have to recruit your own team."

"No problems there Princess." Fire Horn said.

Stephan lowered his head. "No, Josh. The sword made me do things. Terrible things." He stated. "The sword is my burden to carry. I will dispose of it." Blast began walking. "Before I continue, let me ask you something; just why can't you go back to Canterlot with me?

josh walked after stephen "alright im still.coming with you. i have longed to see anyone since our gang split up. the last pony i saw was at least 8 years ago." he ignored the question about canterlot "may i go back to my shelter and get something before we go?"

Fire Horn was dismissed by the princess, he went straight back to the house to inform everypony.

"Alright, i have some news, get everyone back here now, this is big." Fire Horn told Grand and Zeta.

 

(Waiting for Ghost and Josh now. Also Missy won't be a problem.)
