Jack chuckled "I will." Jack picked up Charcoal on his back and started to walk down the hospital "Here we go. Let's go home, have a nap, and then we can talk and hug and cuddle." Jack walked all the way to the entrance of the hotel. Jack was panting due to exhaustion. Almost there.

Charcoal was busy looking at the shapes in the clouds and giggling at the funny ones. She saw one that looked like a dog, one that looked like a bird, one that looked like a taco, and even one that looked like Jack. She was fascinated with that. She tried to reach up and touch it but then a ceiling blocked her view. "Hey, who turned off the clouds?"

"Oh, sorry Charcoal." Jack apologized "We are almost home." Jack walked up the stairs and to Charcoal's room. The door was closed. Jack turned the knob. It was locked. "Darn it!" Jack yelled "How could I have forgotten Charcoal's saddlebags?" Jack lowered his head.

"Oh, sorry Charcoal." Jack apologized "We are almost home." Jack walked up the stairs and to Charcoal's room. The door was closed. Jack turned the knob. It was locked. "Darn it!" Jack yelled "How could I have forgotten Charcoal's saddlebags?" Jack lowered his head.

"Oh, you mean these?" Charcoal said as she pointed to her saddlebags hanging around Jacks flank. "I saw these really nifty bags when we were at the white building before. So I took them." Charcoal said with a smile. She grabbed the strap in her mouth and set it on the floor beside Jack. "There, all better."

"Oh, you mean these?" Charcoal said as she pointed to her saddlebags hanging around Jacks flank. "I saw these really nifty bags when we were at the white building before. So I took them." Charcoal said with a smile. She grabbed the strap in her mouth and set it on the floor beside Jack. "There, all better."

Jack's mouth was hanging. He looked to Charcoal. "You great mare." Jack complimented. He opened the bags and dug inside. After a few seconds of searching Jack raised his head out if the bag with a key in his mouth. Jack put the key in the door and turned it, opening the passage into Charcoal's room. Jack put the key back in the bags and carried them and Charcoal inside. He put down the bags by the door and gently set Charcoal on the bed before closing the door and locking it closed.

After a few seconds of searching Jack raised his head out if the bag with a key in his mouth. Jack put the key in the door and turned it, opening the passage into Charcoal's room. Jack put the key back in the bags and carried them and Charcoal inside. He put down the bags by the door and gently set Charcoal on the bed before closing the door and locking it closed.

Charcoal smiled at Jack's compliment. When he laid her down on the bed she was confused. "But the sun is still out, is it really beddy-bye already?" Charcoal asked with slight disappointment. She didn't want to go to bed just yet. It was still day out, she could still have fun.

Charcoal crossed her arms in a pouting sort of way. "I don't want to." She said in a way a little filly would say she didn't want to eat her vegetables. "Sleep is boring, nothing happens when I'm sleeping and I don't like it when I don't do anything. I like being able to do things."

Charcoal said, not thinking to ask Jack what happened as she paced while trying to remember herself.

Then no one will come to my shop and I will go bankrupt and then I will have to sell my house to be able to afford food for the three of us.
