You find yourself in a secluded area.

Whether it be a cave, a forest, a trench, it's your choice.

 

 

Coal finds himself walking around in a forest. He looks around for monsters, food, other Alonauts, whatever pops up. He had been living in Lune for a year, having been transported here from a forest in Equestria. He had quickly befriended a Harpymorph who had also been transported from Equestria. "Shadow! Have you seen anything?" A barn owl comes blazing through a clearing in the trees and lands on Coal's shoulder. It jumps off and turns into what looks like a Harpy. She turns around and shakes her head. "Nope. Nothing. I can't believe we've been here for a year and haven't seen another Equestrian." The odd creature shakes her head and sighs heavily. Coal nods and continues walking along side his friend.

What a dream that was...

Terra's days were normal as always. However sleep was "heavier" than normal, he started dreaming in a faster pace. Within his dream he started falling down and finally he physically felt his back actually hurt. He didn't know what that meant but his sleep nevetheless continued. However he didn't feel the normal and that showed as he was waking up.

He felt that he had changed... physically changed and a LOT. He opened his eyes wide only to see that he was on the ground of a forest in a clearing. He looked at himself... he wasn't a pony anymore, he started hyperventilating stressed as he was from the sudden physical change, and the change of place.

@, ((Oh yea... Well basically you have fur, a cat-like face but no whiskers, horns, long fennec fox ears, dragon claws, and hooves. You are bi-pedal. I'll post a pic of Coal on the OOC thread. The species is called Alonaut.)) 

 

Coal and Shadow Screech made their way into a clearing in the forest. In the middle of the clearing they saw an Alonaut who seemed to be panicing. Either he was lost, or he just came from Equestria. "Screech, do you think...?" "Yes I do." Coal stepped forward into the clearing a little more than he already had been. "Hello sir, are you lost?"

Ember Sky woke up with a start, but soon regretted it when a ray of sunlight assaulted his eyes. Groaning, he raised a hoof to block it. Vaguely he felt something was... different with his hoof, and his entire body for that matter. Slowly he sat on the forest floor. He couldn't recall ever sleeping in a place like this. Meticulously he examined his circumstances. He had been relocated in his sleep and given new body to boot. The body was seemingly bipedal, clawed forelimbs, hooved hindlegs, instead of his stubby horn he now have two smaller horns near to his ears. He flexed his claws, ears flickering. This was surely something new.

 

 

He looked around. The forest was definitely not the Everfree forest he was familiar to. Hesitantly he stood up, using a nearby tree as a footing. Should he call for help? He could hear some chatter somewhere around him in the forest, but he had no idea where to look. "Hello?" he called out. "Somepony's out there?"

Coal's ear twitched. Did someone say something? He looked at Screech, who nodded and morphed into her barn owl form. She flew up into the air and went towards the direction of the voice. She saw someone and slowly descended to the ground several yard away from him. She morphed back into her bi-pedal form and leaned against a tree. "Need some help?"

Ember Sky was tad surprised when a barn owl descended in front of him and transformed into a... what seemed to be harpy he once saw in a myths textbook, but bigger and more slender. Does magic works in this world? he mused inwardly. "Ah, yes, I'm in fact need some help. Can you tell me where is this place? Can you tell me the way back to Equestria?"

Ember Sky was tad surprised when a barn owl descended in front of him and transformed into a... what seemed to be the same species as his new body. Does magic works in this world? he mused inwardly. "Ah, yes, I'm in fact need some help. Can you tell me where is this place? Can you tell me the way back to Equestria?"

((Screech isn't an Alonaut. Harpymorphs are their own species.))

 

Screech smiled solemnly. "So you are from Equestria. As I suspected. You are in Lune, and as far as I know there's no way back to Equestria. My name's Shadow Screech, and I know this must seem really odd, maybe even a dream. But I assure you that this is no dream." She rubbed the back of her neck, tracing the scar there with one of her feathers. "This is as real as it gets."

"No way back to Equestria..." Ember Sky repeated Shadow Screech's words under his breath. If this was indeed true, it would complicate a lot of things. He still had a lot of things left to do back at home. He looked at Shadow Screech, contemplating the last words she had uttered. It seemed that there were real dangers in this Lune, and they were pretty much alone in this new world. "My name is Ember Sky. Nice to meet you, Shadow Screech. I assume you were also a pony from Equestria? Do you know what's going on around here?"

"AAAH!" Terra's already sharp senses seemed to be even more sharpened by his transformation. "W-who are you? Stay back! Back i say!!! What are you? What did you do to me? What is this place anyways!!!" he still couldn't process he was bipedal and his instinctive moves to stand up resulted in a few clumsy falls. Finally using a tree for support he stood up and raised his hand to motion the newcomer to halt. Hand... claw... another thing he was surprised to have, curiously he moved his claw-fingers one by one watching them. He turned towards the two "I... is there a mirror or a pond somewhere so i can have a look at myself?"

Screech raised an eyebrow. "Wow. You're taking this much better than I did. Yes I was a pony, and my partner and I have been trying to find other Equestrians who have come here. You and possibly another guy that my partner is dealing with are the only ones we've found in the year we've been here. And what's going on? I have no idea. I just woke up here one day, much like yourself. And I happened to become one of the main species here. You seem to have turned into an Alonaut." Shadow Screech looked around the clearing, making sure there were no threats in the area.

Coal smiled widely. "Ah great. So I assume you're an Equestrian? My name is Coal Grey. I'm an Alonaut, but I was a pony. The same seems to have happened to you. It was nothing of my doing, I just happened to find you soon after you Awoke. And I'm sure we can find a pond somewhere. I don't really know if there's any mirrors in Lune."

I'll do whatever the Princess wants... Terra Lionmane is many things but coward i am not! Even if i have been transported across dimensions, baffled, and changed into this... Alonaut you say i am now. But anyways... why have i been changed?"

Coal chuckled. "No not Luna. Lune. It's what this land is called. And sadly I have no idea why you have been changed. Or why you were transported here. My partner and I have been trying to figure it out for the past year. Hopefully we can do it once we get some more former Equestrians. It's a pleasure to meet you Terra."

Ember Sky followed Screech's eyes as she scanned the surrounding area. Alonaut, so that's what he was right now. Satisfied that there was still nothing dangerous lurking nearby, Ember Sky replied, "You mean there are others like us in this world? Can you take me to your partner? I would rather not linger around this area for any longer." He smiled apologetically. He had been asking a lot of questions, and so far Screech had been helpful.

 

Absentmindedly Ember Sky flexed his new claws. He would need to figure out if he could use his unicorn magic in this place.

@, "So... let me summarize this:We are in a world known as Lune, you need to tell me where you learned about the name of this world, we have no idea why we are here, no idea who sent us, and no idea if we can return or not. *Sigh* Well no point in whinning about this anymore... though i might need some time adjusting to this body and place." He touches his head "I have horns? Does that mean i can cast magic? Oh wait... i'm no unicorn.... i'm an Alonaut. Could you tell me more about the Alonauts? By the way i think you mentioned we're not the only ones here?"

Screech shrugged. "As far as I know we're the only Equestrians here. There are other Alonauts, but they all seem to have been born here in Lune. And Coal is... this way." Screech began walking in the direction she had come from.

"I learned the name simply by asking people. I just said I had a bed memory and couldn't remember what this land was called. And Alonauts can do many things. They are very skillful crafters, cooks, warriors, just about anything. But the warriors have special skills. And this is one of them." Coal put out his hand, which became surrounded by a blackish purple gas of some sort. He looked around and found a small tree that would suit his demonstration. He went over to the tree, and punched it. The tree snapped in half as if it were a small stick.

 

Screech heard a loud cracking noise and sighed. "Yup. He's definitely this way."

@, "Holy.... niiiiiiiiiiiice!" Terra couldn't help but be a little impressed by the demonstration. It was certainly impressive. "You'll have to tell me more about these Alonauts along the way..." he trips one step but regains his balance immediately.  "Plus i'll have to get used to these hooves. But fingers/claws... this will be helpful. A lot!" he thinks for a moment "You said there are other people here? Brought of the blue like me?"

Coal grinned at Terra's awe, but then frowned at his last question. "Well... No. As far as I know, you, myself, and my partner are the only Equestrians here. There are other Alonauts, but they all seem to have been born and raised here. And I'll make sure to tell you about Alonauts later. I also have a way of finding out what powers you have an affinity with. Because all Alonauts have powers, but some have special affinities to certain ones. Watch." Coal stuck out his hand once again. His face contorted into a strained look, and a small flame appeared in his hand. The flame fizzled out quickly, and Coal let out a sigh of relief. "See? I'm not a Caster. Now let's go find Screech."

@,He walks next to Coal "Schreech is your friend i guess? How long have you been on Lune again? These abilities will sure be interesting to experiment with. Hmmm... has anything strange happened to Lune recently? I don't think i noticed something upon Equestria.. surely something or someone brought us here. It can't just be chance."

Coal nodded. "Yes, Screech is my friend. Well... maybe a little more than that. We know each other inside and out. Our strengths, our weaknesses, we're more like battle partners, for lack of a better term. We've been working together since we both ended up here a year ago. And as far as I know, nothing strange has happened to Lune." Coal deftly side stepped in front of Terra and poked his chest. "That's why we were looking for guys like you."

Ember Sky nodded and walked along with Shadow Screech through the forest. Ember Sky had a hard time moving his new legs, but soon he managed to get used to his new joints. There was a loud, cracking sound from somewhere deeper in the forest. Ember Sky was a bit surprised, but he didn't say anything.

 

"In this Lune... Is there any kind of nations in this world?" Ember Sky asked to Shadow Screech. "Is there any dangerous species that might be after us? I apologize for my many questions, but I would rather not end up dying in something's jaw without knowing anything about this world."

Screech kept walking, not looking back at Ember. "Nations? Um... I'm not too sure about that. All I know is that there's Castor's kingdoms, and then there's the tribes. Tribes are really just Alonauts and other creatures that don't want to live under Castor. Which is odd, since I've met the guy and he was pretty cool." Screech smiled solemnly at Ember's question about monsters. "It's definitely dangerous around here. These woods seem safe enough, although-" Screech staggred backwards as she hit a grey mass of fur. SHe looked up to see Coal towering over her. ((I forgot to mention that Alonauts are tall)) Coal turned from Terra and smiled at Screech and Ember. "So you did find someone. I was getting to think you got lost. This guy here was from Equestria too. Can you believe it? A whole year spent searching and we find two in the span of minutes."

Ember Sky returned the smile to Shadow Screech. He was a bit surprised when Shadow Screech crashed into another alonaut, his mind were elsewhere. Nevertheless, he smiled to the new alonaut who he assumed was Coal. "Greetings. My name is Ember Sky, nice to meet you," he introduced himself. Something Coal said made him a bit curious, but his eyes caught someone else behind Coal. "I assume he's an Equestrian too?"

 

Castor. That one name Ember would always remember. If possible, in the future he would like to go there, to find whatever cause that brought him here. After he had known enough to survive alone in this world, of course.

Coal looked back at the Alonaut behind him. "Yes, at least that's what he told me. He also told me his name was Terra. It's nice to meet you too. I'm Coal by the way." Coal smiled. He looked down at his hand and flexed his claws.

 

"Um, Screech? Do you have any bandages?"

 

"Why?"

 

"I tried Casting." 

 

"Coal!? Why would you do that!?"

 

"Educational purposes."

 

Screech sighed in frustration and fished out a roll of bandages from her bag. Coal began wrapping his hand in the bandages, after he applied some type of cream to it. "How long did you do it for?" Coal shrugged. "A couple seconds." Screech sighed again and took the bandages back from Coal to put in her bag.

It seemed that whatever Coal did, it was not something anyone could do easily. "I was used to be an unicorn, I would be appreciate it if you can show me some pointers on how to use magic, or at least relearning what I used to have back in Equestria."

Coal shook his head. "Well I-" He was interrupted by a distant screeching noise. Coal's ears twitched as he listened intently to the cry. "It would probably be best to talk more about this in our home. Follow me." Coal began walking away, and Shadow Screech rushed forward to catch up. She looked back at the two newcomers, gesturing for them to follow.
