About Roleplay World

Okay, this normally dosen't bother me, but the character limit in the RP world is higher then, say, Octavia's Hall right? And yet, the posts don't count. Pony.fm has no limit and the posts count there too. Rolepaly world has the second-to-most high character limit of 200 characters. So, why does an 100 Character post in Octavia's Hall (Or even a 10 character post in Pony.fm) count, but yet, a 200 Character post in the Roleplay world does not? I agree with the Advanced roleplays, but seriously...this just hit me right now.

I searched around and couldn't find anything like this.

Recently, post count incrementation was removed for Roleplay Planning & OOC Discussion as detailed here. As per the suggestion of other members, as well as general observation of roleplay attitudes, it has been decided that disabling post count in Roleplays as well would be the best course of action.

This is due to how quickly posts are made within the Roleplays section, allowing members who simply frequent Roleplays to earn higher badges faster and rather unfairly as compared to those who do not. We do not feel it is fair to others who contribute in a more balanced manner across the site, nor do we feel that the current quality of roleplay posts is deserving of post count incrementation.

From now on, posts will no longer increase in ALL of Roleplay World again. However, we still implore and expect as much quality content in Roleplay World as the rest of the site. Even if your posts do not count, the same rules still apply and a standard must be held. Any spammish or rule-breaking behavior will still be treated as usual.

I understand, but lately, I haven't seen any fast moving roleplays, or unnquality like posts. In fact, most of the posts in the RP world are relativly better then the ones I see elsewhere.

I agree, the Quality of the roleplay in the RP world has improved quite a bit from when I first joined here, and even since I've started moderating it. With that in mind, and the fact that some RPs have slowed down, I don't see in giving the incrementation a second chance. HOWEVER, if the Roleplay world turns into a spam-fest like it did the last time we turned post counts on, I will turn the incrementation back off and will not turn it back on again.

EDIT: The post incrementation will remain off in both of the OOC Sections however.
