OC Pixie Dust Drawing

Just a nice drawing I made of my character Pixie Dust that I thought I should share.

 

 

I was wondering if I could get a critique of this drawing. I know I'm not too good and I'd really like to improve~!

 

Also maybe someone should suggest something for me to draw so I could kinda go out of my comfort zone, I think I'm stuck.

She is really pretty! I love her colors, everything about her! And, like I said, I love this, but this is just my opinion, the eye's looks like blending in with the mane. But that's just me

*Big empty space in the upper left corner area. maybe add something

Before I say anything this is such an adorable OC you have here. Very well drawn ^^ I'll point out some things to you but nothing is too bad here.

 

Positive

- Love your style! And the shading, very lovely ^^

- Nice posture, cute background.

- Colours are chosen well.

- You've expanded from the original style of the ponies a little and done your own thing.

 

 

Improvements

- Could possibly work on the right arm (the one behind the front hoof) as it looks a little out of shape?

- The blue in the mane might be a little too much, try it without and see how that looks if not remove another colour? I always tend to go with 3 main colours per OC. So if you'd like to do that go ahead ^^

- Perhaps use up more of the space in the left top corner; Don't add names or such as it can look bad. Maybe add a background of her town or a farm perhaps.. something that could even represent her?

Thank you~ But I'm not quite sure what you mean by her eye blending in with her mane. Is it because it is the same color?

Yeah, I did realize her one leg looked a bit out of shape, maybe later I'll look at a ref to see where I went wrong. I have had this OC for a long while now and I think changing her mane now might be a bit too late.

 

And I do need to create better backgrounds, mine always seem pretty bland. I'll try to do better next time I draw something.

Backgrounds are more amazing then mine . And like Smushin said, the blue might be a little to much, and what I meant from the eyes, is kind of like Smushins, the Blue hair is a little to much, and the Blue eye's make is kind of like overload, but IDK, that is just me, its a very pretty OC

D'aww! This is adorable. I really like your style, especially the eyes and the cute snout. She also has nice colors. (Reminds me of Firefly) Is she a ponified version of Navi?
