Melody Breeze was one day practicing some songs with her birds. She was focusing really hard, until the mailpony flew around and dropped the daily newspaper. This kind of startled Melody a bit, but she was still able to finish the song. After she finished, she went to take a look at the newspaper. She gasped in shock, for the big letters in the headline said "OCTAVIA MISSING!". "Oh no! Oh no!" She said panicked. "I've got to find Vinyl Scratch...although I don't particularly like his style of music..." Melody breeze said as she headed towards Ponyville. She looked all around but did not see Vinyl anywhere. "Maybe he's practicing in his house." Melody said to herself. She then flew over to Vinyl's house. She could hear very loud dubstep music coming from the house. She knocked on the door. No answer. She then rang the doorbell, but still no answer. This left her with one last choice; she emitted a strong dissonant frequency from her horn. The music suddenly cut off and the door swung open, nearly smacking Melody in the face. "Ugh, what gives yo?!" Vinyl asked rather angrily since he had been interrupted. Melody looked at his angry expression. "Uhm, did you...by...any chance...hear about...y-your girlfriend?" Melody asked unsure of what Vinyl's response would be. "Huh, you mean Tavi? She's touring Equestria right now. What about her?" Vinyl asked. Melody then used her magic and made a newspaper appear. Vinyl read the article and was shocked. "But...but how?" Vinyl asked very concerned. "I-I don't know. Maybe...the Princess might know." Melody Breeze deduced. "You're probably right on that one. Princess Celestia knows just about anything." Vinyl Scratch stated. 

 

So, the two headed up to Canterlot to speak with Princess Celestia. Princess Celestia stated that an evil rockstar had falsely accused Octavia of assaulting a pony while in a concert. The goal was to find the evil rockstar, bring him to justice and free Octavia so she could finish her tour. But, they need two extra ponies, who were great in the art of music to help them along their journey.

 

"We must look for two ponies. One by the name of Quill Poem and other by Sweet Symphony." Melody Breeze stated. They started to look around.

Sweet Symphony trotted the streets of Canterlot. She didn't have much to do today. She was here because of her singing, an  important unicorn had invited her to sing the next night, but for now, she was free to explore the city. She had heard that a lot of birds were in the Canterlot Garden, which was open to the public, so now, she was on her way there to sing.

She arrived at the public part of the Garden and sat down at a n.earby bench. A few birds landed nearby, and she smiled.

"Would you like me to sing?" she asked in a singsong voice, knowing the answer would be yes, even though she couldn't communicate with animals.

The birds looked like they wanted to hear her voice, so she smiled again and started singing..

 

 

What are now, oranges yellows and reds on the trees

Will soon, be slowly falling to the ground below

As they are, blown away on the cool, crisp breeze,

they're simply just awaiting, the new fallen snow

All the colors change too fast

Winter, Summer, Spring and Fall

All these moments are in our past

but the sun stays strong through it all

 

Winter soon arrives, only to seem like it will never end

But as months pass on, Spring will soon be here.

And as the flowers blossom, we know Summer's round the bend

The summer months seem to go by so fast,

Life seems like the seasons, always changing again and again...

The past is certain, the present is now, snd the future has its divides:

but we can't change it, no matter how hard we try...

"Let's scout out and try to find the two." Vinyl Scratch suggested. "Ok." Melody Breeze said heading towards Canterlot Gardens. When Melody arrived at Canterlot Gardens, she spotted a pony singing with some birds. "Uhm, excuse me." Melody said trying to be polite.

Sweet Symphony stopped singing as she heard somepony talk to her. She looked around and saw that it was a bright white alicorn.

"Um, hello..." she said, standing and facing the mare. "Uhh, did you need something? I don't know if I would be of much help, I'm just visiting..."

"Well...the Princess sent me here because she said you were one of the most talented singers and musicians in Ponyville." Melody Breeze stated. She then made a newspaper appear with the headline "OCTAVIA MISSING." "Are you familiar with this?" Melody Breeze asked.

Symphony blushed a bit from flattery at what the mare told her. Princess Celestia had said that? what an honor...

"No, i've been here since yesterday, so I haven't gotten the Ponyville Times for this week yet..." She took the newspaper and read the article. her jaw dropped open. What?

"This can't be... Octavia Melody was the most gracious and respectable musician in Ponyville... She couldn't have done something like this."

"If you read on...there are details...I spoke with the Princess and she stated that an evil rockstar had used his hypnotic abilities to get a group of pony police to arrest Octavia for assulting a pony she never touched. She's now in jail and won't be released until the hypnotic trance is lifted from the group of pony police!" Melody Breeze said panicked.

What a wonderful time for the voices to decide to come.

Sweet Symphony put a hoof to her head, trying to ignore them.

"I-is there any way I can help? I don't want to just stand by if she's been framed and jailed."

the prospect of helping somepony fueled her; there were flashes and shadows playing in the edges of her visions but she ignored them through her determination.

"Oh, that would be great of you. Come on, let's go meet Vinyl Scratch and look for Quill Poem." Melody stated as she went back to meet Vinyl who had wandered off to find Quill Poem.

 

Vinyl Scratch looked everywhere. He couldn't seem to find Quill Poem. So, he decided to go back and meet up with Melody, who had Sweet Symphony with her.

Quill Poem walked around, bored, in Canterlot. This was a trip, and it was a Saturday. He had the day off work in Ponyville, instead coming to Canterlot for a visit to his parents. He'd already done so, and now he was walking around the streets of Canterlot. His parents were busy, unlike most days when they would have nothing to do. He sat on a nearby bench, watching the other ponies pass by him. The train wouldn't arrive until hours later, so he couldn't go back to Ponyville yet.

Finally, Vinyl Scratch found Quill Poem. "Ahh, there you are. I was lookin' all over for ya. Listen, I need you to come with me. It's urget. Once we get to the center of Canterlot, we'll meet a pony named Melody Breeze. She'll give you more details. Vinyl Scratch said as he ushered the pony in the direction he needed to go.

Sweet followed Melody as they made their way out of the garden. Vinyl Scratch? Well, of course he would help. He was Octavia's boyfriend, after all. It was going to be interesting to meet another famous musician, though she wasn't exactly a fan. She didn't mind his music, she was just more into A Cappella than anything.

"Melody!" Vinyl Scratch called out.

 

"Huh? I think I hear someone calling me...but...who is it?" Melody asked. 

 

"Melody!" Vinyl called again.

 

"I-I think Vinyl Scratch is calling me. Let's go see what's up." Melody said as she trotted over to where Vinyl Scratch was. There, they found him with Quill Poet.

Sweet Symphony followed Melody to where Vinyl Scratch and his companion were standing.

"Uh, hi, I'm Sweet Symphony." she said, not sure what else to say. "I told Melody I wanted to help. I don't know Octavia very personally, but I know that she's not the kind of pony to do anything like this. I'll do whatever I can to help."

(OOC: Now we've gotta wait for Quill Poem to respond. He needs to be a bit more active)

 

"Alright, now we've gotta find out how to get to Octavia."

 

"She was last seen in the city of Los Pegasus."

 

"Oh my goodness! That's pretty far from here." Melody Breeze said surprised. "I-I've never been beyond this part of Equestria." Melody added.

Sweet Symphony was just as taken aback.

"Las Pegasus? I've never been there either... I've only been here, Ponyville, and a little town near Prince Blueblood Island. Las Pegasus is a long way away from any of those."

"Our best shot, is to fly there." Melody Breeze stated. "Flying there would take about a two weeks to get there. That's including if we stop for rest breaks and food." Melody Breeze added. She made a map appear with her magic. "See, we are here." Melody said pointing to the star with the name "Canterlot" on top of it. "We have to fly all the way here." Melody said dragging her hoof on the the circle labeled "Los Pegasus".

Quill looked up at the unicorn stallion. "Okay..." He didn't know what was happening, but he assumed it was important. He followed the stallion, which he now realized was Vinyl Scratch, a famous DJ. Vinyl was easy to recognize due to his signature shades, which he wore almost everywhere.

 

Upon reaching the center of Canterlot, Quill saw two mares, a white... Alicorn, and a mint-green Earth pony. He was a little shocked at the sight of the alicorn, but he didn't say anything. The alicorn, Melody Breeze he guessed, summoned a map and he bent over to look at it. Melody gestured to Canterlot with her hoof, and then to Los Pegasus. Apparently they were supposed to fly there. Though he didn't know about the Earth pony. Maybe Melody would carry her.

"Oh, there you are." Melody said looking up at Quill Poem. "I was just...going over the directions. Los Pegasus is west from here. It would take two weeks to get there, which includes rest stops and food breaks." Melody explained. She then showed Quill Poem the map.

Quill looked at the map. Now he could see it more well. He could see how it would take two weeks - it was a little far from here. He'd have to come up with an excuse for not going to work back in Ponyville. Though he still didn't know much of what was happening. "Okay, but nopony explained to me much. What's happening? Why was I called here? Why not somepony else? I can fly fairly well, but not too fast if it's about the journey."

"Well, see, Vinyl Scratches girlfriend Octavia...went...missing. She's somewhere locked up but nopony knows where. You see, an evil rockstar...I can't remember his name, falsely accused her of assulting a pony, which she never did. He put a group of police ponies under his control and made them arrest her and lock her up somewhere in Los Pegasus." Melody explained. "It's just awful." She added.

Octavia? Wasn't that the famous fancy pony who played music? Quill didn't know too much about her, but she didn't look capable of assaulting a pony. "Well, okay then." He understood that Vinyl would probably be worrying. Actually, Quill didn't know much about the two; he didn't listen much to music or read about the famous stars. Only when they came up in the newspaper. But it just happened that he didn't buy a newspaper yet today. He usually did that when he came back to Ponyville, right before going home.

Sweet Symphony put a hoof to her muzzle in thought. Fly? how would that work? 

"But... how will we fly? I'm an Earth Pony and Vinyl Scratch is a Unicorn..."

((Just realized that we have every canon pony species here, cool!))

"I can fix that..." Melody said. "Hold still." She added slowly building magic. She fired a beam at Symphony, which caused her to grow true pegasus wings. "Those wings will last until we find Octavia and return here." Melody said recovering from the spell. She had to do it several more times. She then did it on Vinyl. "Oh yeah! Alicorn time!" He proclaimed.

"Cool," mumbled Quill. He'd never seen anypony do that before. And now, they had two alicorns in the group. "So, we leaving now?" he asked, spreading his wings. "Or are we going to go prepare some stuff first?" That would be understandable, since they had nothing with them. But then it would make no sense that Melody had cast the spell so early.
