Quill flew downwards and landed gently on the ground. He looked at Applejack and the yellow pony, Braeburn he believed the name was. Braeburn seemed to really enjoy visitors, which was just as well, as Quill had heard that more than half the pony population in Appleloosa was mainly the Apple family.

Symphony dusted herself off and pulled some hay out of her feathers.

"Err, I'm fine. Just embarrassed. You seem to have gotten the hang of landing, unlike me. i think I was going a little too fast." she said, before shaking out her mane a bit. There was still hay in her feathers and mane and tail, but she could get it out later. She walked up beside Melody.

"So, this is Appleoosa..." she mused, looking around. 

 

((Just so you guys know, Symphony may be having some issues today in the RP that have to do with the voices in her head...))

"I'm on a long journey with some aquaintances to Las Pegasus." Melody stated to Braeburn. "Las Pegasus? Whoa Neighlly! You sure gotta long way from these parts! Heh, the farthest I've been from here was Dodge Junction, another country town like this. Takes about 12 hours to walk from here, but hay, maybe a quarter of that time since y'all are flyin'." Braeburn said. "Hey Braeburn, why don't you show these folks the inn. They look mighty tired." Applejack suggested. "Sure thing cuz." Braeburn replied. "Come on everypony, Braeburn, will show us the way to inn." Melody said as she followed Braeburn. Vinyl Scratch was right behind her.

Quill followed Braeburn. As he walked, he observed his surroundings. Appleloosa seemed like a small little village. A tumbleweed rolled past Quill, and he watched it go by. The wind eventually blew it went out of his sight, and he turned his attention back to the yellow pony in front of him as they went to the inn.

Soon, they arrived at the in. "This here's the finest inn in Appleoosa. We've serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. The rooms have four beds each and two bathrooms." Braeburn explained. "It only costs 10 bits to stay for one night." Braeburn added. "Wow, that's a nice rate." Melody stated. Braeburn then opened the door for them. "Come on everypony, let's go get our room key and find our room." Melody stated. Vinyl Scratch followed behind Melody.

Symphony followed Vinyl Scratch, looking around and still figuring out how to fold her wings in a comfortable position.

Ugh. I wonder how it will be to sleep with these things on my back. Whatever. I usually sleep on my stomach anyway. Speaking of sleep... she yawned a bit, raising a hoof to cover it.

I just hope I don't get any more... "visits"... until this is all over.

They soon arrived at the room. "Wow, this is a nice room." Melody stated. "And about those wings. You can sleep on your side, which is how I do it. But, most ponies who I cast this spell on sometimes get wingboners in the middle of the night." Melody added with a giggle.

 

"Ugh, I hate those." Vinyl Scratch said. "I hope I don't get those tonight, 'cause I need every second of sleep tonight." He added.

Symphony looked down at her now neatly folded wings.

"Uh, okay." she said before hearing Melody mention wingboners. Her cheeks blazed.

"Haha... I-I guess we all need our sleep, so hopefully that doesn't happen,' she replied, trying to sound nonchalant and turning around so the others wouldn't see her blushing, pretending to check out the bedside table.

Awkward to talk about in my opinion, but I think I'd take a wingboner over screaming voices in my head to wake me up any day.

Melody then went into the bathroom, brushed her teeth and laid in bed still awake. She took out one of her books she had brought with her. She started to read.

 

Vinyl went into the bathroom and brushed his teeth. It was way too late to break out the wubs. So he decided to go to sleep. "Wow, Vinyl's that tired." Melody said with a yawn as she continued reading.

Quill followed Melody, and they arrived at the inn. He walked into their room before heading for one of the bathrooms to brush his teeth. He suddenly realized that he hadn't eaten, but he was too sleepy now, after the long journey. He'd been flying for a few hours or so. Funny how he'd never noticed how tired he was until now. After he brushed his teeth, he went into the only bed left, falling asleep quickly.

Soon, Melody got tired. She thus put her book away, wrapped herself in the covers and fell asleep. She wondered about Los Pegasus, all of the bright shiny lights and the jubilant atmosphere. She also thought about the enemy, Metalheart, who had falsely accused the beloved Octavia.

Symphony brushed her teeth and took the bed she had already chosen. 
Please don't give me any trouble, she silently pleaded. 

She sat and stared up at the ceiling for a while, until Melody shut off the light, and Sweet got under her covers and fell asleep.

 

((I hope you don't mind if I do the timeskip, because i want this to happen around like 1-2 AM RP time))

Whispers.

Symphony couldn't understand what they were saying, and was too groggy to realize what was happening. She thought it was a dream. 

Slowly, the whispers grew louder. Symphony opened her eyes to look around for who was whispering, but nopony else was up yet.

Okay...

Suddenly, there was a bright flash to her left, and it surprised her so much that she squeaked and tried to get away from it, resulting in getting caught up in the blanket and landing on the floor with a thud. 

A menacing shadow figure seemed to hover over her, ready to attack, as the voices started screaming. She put her hooves on her ears and kicked her back legs out.
"N-No! Stay away!" she shouted.

Melody woke to Symphony's scream. "No. What's wrong? Everything's alright, it's just a dream." Melody said waking up. She then lit up her horn and played a sweet soft melody through her frequency wind spell. She hoped that Symphony would fall back asleep. @@Mint Drop,

The sound of Melody's music banished the thing looming over her, and she calmed down with the soothing sound.
"I-I knew this would happen... S-Sorry, anypony that I woke up..." she whispered as she slowly untangled herself from the blanket. When she stood up, her legs were shaky. This time had given her a scare. 

Symphony then got back into bed. She was stuck between going to sleep and facing nightmares, or staying up and facing more shadows and voices. Eventually, her exhaustion from flying caught up to her and she ended up falling back asleep.

Melody finished the little song she was playing and she fell back to sleep.

Morning rose in Appleoosa. Although she had her eyes closed, Melody breeze could barely see the rays of the sun shining through the window. She got up and stretched with a big yawn. "Time to wake up everypony." She said. Vinyl Scratch woke up. "Ugh...I could definately use some wubs right now..." He said slowly getting up.

Symphony mumbled into her pillow. She was exhausted.
"Ugh... what time is it?" she wondered aloud, sitting up and rubbing one of her pale pink eyes with a hoof groggily.
She continued to sit there, still drowsy and her head pounding from the voices screaming in her head last night.

Quill was woken up by the sun. He had slept well, other than the waking up at around... what, 2 am? 3? He had gone back to sleep quickly anyway, so it didn't matter. He got out from bed and stood up. Rubbing his eyes, he realized that the sun had probably just risen. He did wish he could have woken up later.

Melody strolled into the bathroom and brushed her teeth. She then took a quick little rinse off.

 

"Morning Quill, Morning Symphony." Melody said coming out of the bathroom still a little wet from the shower. "Braeburn said that Dodge Junction is not that far from here, but we'll take a pass on that since it only takes about 8 hours walking there." Melody said looking at the map.

Quill looked up to see Melody standing in front of him while holding the map that she had been using the whole time. "Morning to you too," he said. Once she finished talking, he walked into the bathroom for a quick shower. It was going to be tiring going there. Not really compared to yesterday, but he didn't usually walk that long back in Ponyville.

Melody looked at Symphony who was still groggy trying to get out of bed. She then continued to study the map. "We still have a long ways until we hit Los Pegasus..." She thought. She then looked at the star marked "Saddle Arabia". "Alright everypony, let's hurry up. Saddle Arabia's gonna be a longer trip than from Canterlot to Appleloosa. So we may have to stop. But we won't be stopping in Dodge Junction." Melody stated.
