This new, dark wave of energy seemed to attempt to consume his mind, infect it like a parasite but the feeling was one of murderous intent; the magic was trying to make him kill his comrades!  Holding one of his hooves to his temple, he screamed in agony as he shut his eyes tightly...he had known this feeling before and he wasn't about to let it out, not now and not ever.  Rut-Light started losing focus and almost felt a bit...crazy, suddenly he stopped screaming; he was as silent as a house on Hearths Warming Eve and then, he smiled as his once bright blue irises momentarily flashed a deep red until turning blue once more.  'No...this is not a good time!'  he thought as he kept on driving close to the others, "Get a hold of yourself Rut...you're not thinking straight!"

"Hold it off everypony! Ga...Grindspark, you won't win this!" Nitro stated as he fought the energy. Memories of that fated day flashed in his mind. But at his full strength, Nitro ignored them. Thunder was still unaffected due the the spell he cast on himself. Thunder was attempting to disperse the spell, but failed every time.

@, "Hold it off everypony! Ga...Grindspark, you won't win this!" Nitro stated as he fought the energy. Memories of that fated day flashed in his mind. But at his full strength, Nitro ignored them. This little situation had become quite problematic for Mr. Light, this magic he was feeling would win, no matter how hard he tried nothing worked...but then he remembered something he had put on his car before this whole charade; The Turbo System. "This will be glorious..." He thought as he powered down the streets of Detrot, but suddenly he slammed on his brakes, the wheels pausing their motion and smoke shooting from the rubber tires , but he didn't want to stop completely, just back off. When he was far enough back Rut-Light got back on the gas and immediately hit a flashing, green button. The process started as soon as he hit it, the gasses mixing together and the sparkles giving off the juices the system needs to work efficiently and quickly; then for a split moment everything was silent. Before he knew it the system activated and thrusted the Ferrari over its limit, speeds quickly shuttling past 200 mph, then, without warning, Rut-Lights car was fastly approaching GrindSparks car, and with a mighty crash, the Ferrari barreled right into the back of the gang leaders vehicle; but everything Rut-Light could see...was black, and freedom.

"Rut Light! No!" Nitro Spark shouted as he completely fought off the dark power. Grindspark was hit. "What did I say about messing with The King?!" He stated as he slammed hard into Rut Light. "How dare you!" Nitro Spark screamed as he charged at Grindspark. He had his EMP fully charged, but he wasn't going to use it. Instead, he pulled the lever that contracted his jumpsprings and bounced into the air. He then landed hard on top of Grindsparks car, which caused him to lose control. @@Frosty V,

Frost watched the scene between Nitro, Rut, and Grindspark unfold. He swerved his car so he was behind the three of them. "Dammit what are you guys doing?!" He called out in a frantically concerned tone of voice. "Celestia!" He cursed under his breath, hitting his steering wheel

"Rut nearly was possessed by that dark energy!" Nitro Spark stated as he wobbled on top of Grindspark's car. Grindspark was losing control. Nitro was able to get down from Grindspark's car and slammed into him once more. Grindspark had had his magic interrupted by the hit. "Ready to finish him off?" Nitro asked. @,

@, Rut-Light's once beauty of a car, his pride an joy throughout more than half of his career as a street racer, was now nothing more then a critically damaged mess.  His engine had died completely, preventing him from going anywhere, and the front of the car frame looked like it had participated in a Demolition Derby.  The Ferrari was laying still, smoking from the engine as Rut-Light lay there in the cab, unconscious and un-moving but just then his hoof twitched and reached for the communication radio that was linked to all of his friends cars; he then started speaking, albeit softly and pained as if he had to strain to even talk.  "No...i'm out,"  he then proceeded to cough and wheeze for a bit before continuing, "The honor...of getting rid of him goes to you Nitro...good luck...and bless your heart..."  Rut-Light then passed out, dropping the radio to the ground and slumping down in the driver seat of his wreck of a car.

 

(OOC: Don't worry he in still alive...but this kind of stuff can happen in car crashes...)

"You little plothole!!!" Nitro Spark screamed at Grindspark as he sneered. Nitro then fully charged his EMPs. "Clear out! This is to end it all!" Nitro Spark shouted as he let Grindspark drive in front of him. Grindspark thought that he had won and Nitro was retreating, but Nitro was going to finish him of...for good.

Frost saw what Nitro was planning to do. "End this Nitro....he is all yours." Frost mumbled under his breath as he turned his wheel sharply and peeled of the main road and onto a smaller suburban road just far enough away that he could watch the showdown and still be a safe distance away.

Nitro locked on. This was it: to end the terrible reign of Grindspark. Thunder had gotten back. "Do this Nitro...for Detrot." Thunder said over the communicator. "This one's for Rut-Light!" Nitro shouted as he fired the EMP to end it all. Grindspark's car was sent flying into the air. It then rolled for a long while before slamming into the wall of a building as a ball of fire erupted." Nitro Spark slowed to a stop at the crash sight. He could barely see Grindspark in the mangled wreckage. "It's over guys. It's all over. Grindspark is down." Nitro stated. Soon, some cops pulled up, including the one that had been following Thunder.

Frost screeched up in his car and shut it off before stepping out, shades still over his eyes. He stared at the fire ball and smirked, throwing his hoof up in the air. We did it! Detrot is back in the hands of the racers!" He called out over his com, before realizing something. "Rut......he gave up his life....to help get h streets back....." his voice trailed off

Nitro gasped. "Rut Light!" He stated as he turned around and drove back to where Rut had wrecked. He then approached the mangled Ferrari with a tear in his eye.

 

Meanwhile the cops were digging for Grindspark. Fireponies were nearby to make sure the car wouldn't explode.

After spending time trying to find Rut, Nitro finally find him...unconsious. Nitro tried waking him, but had no luck. He then then got his cellphone and called Thunder. "Thunder! I need you! Rut's unconscious!" Nitro stated. "Okay, on my way." Thunder stated as he made a u-turn. Before long, Thunder was there. Thunder then listened to see if Rut was still breathing. "He's barely breathing." Thunder stated. He then picked up the Rut's motionless body, and started to run a very slow current of electricity through it.

@,Rut-Light lay on his back, still battered from the horrid crash he had not but a few minutes ago.  Barely breathing he then started to feel, tingly.  It was like getting shocked by static electricity but with a bit more power to it, it was the beautiful embrace of warmth and survival.  As the current flowed through Rut-Lights body, his breathing sped up a bit to the point of almost being regular as well as his heart, the BPM increasing at a slow but steady rate.  Before he knew it, his eyes were opened, weak, but opened; but as he tried to move he noticed that it was painful to even attempt to do such a thing.  He simply landed on his back again as he breathed in fresh air for his lungs, he then looked around at the friends that encircled him and smiled weakly.  "What in the blazes just happened?  Where's GrindSpark?  Is he taken care of?" he asked.

"You're alive!" Nitro shouted with joy as he went into hug Rut-Light (no homo ). "Go get Frost and tell him that Rut's alright." Nitro stated to Thunder. "Alright then." Thunder stated as he went to his car and dialed in on Frost's communicator. "Hey Frost! Rut's alright!" Thunder stated over the communicator.

"Are you serious! Thats awesome!" Frost exclaimed with un relenting joy shooting out from his voice as he spoke. He jumped in his car and drove to the crash scene. He saw Rut as he pulled up "Rut your not dead!" He exclaimed as he ran up and bear hugged the stallion.

@@Frosty V, As Rut-light saw Frost run up to him he started to think, 'Don't you dare bear hug me...'  he the next instant Frost did exactly that.  The force of the un-restrained hugs was absolutely painful to him, but as pained as he was; he was happy to see Frost again.  "Sup Frost, good to see you.  ...Frost...you can put me down now, I'm in a lot of pain right now, the crash and everything."

And so, Nitro and his crew were able to save Detrot from the gang. As for Grindspark...well...let's just say...he's not a unicorn anymore
