No we're not. We're complaining about how elitist and snobbish you're being about it. Everyone is entitled to opinions and different tastes, but I'm getting a real bad vibe of negativity and elitism from this thread and both your tones and choices of words. 

 

I've been told a lot of times from people around the forums that the stuff I like "isn't music" and that my taste is garbage. But that seems to be completely fine in this case, and I get labeled as an "elitist". That's fair

 

And people calling Drone metal "not music" are equally as snobbish as the people who claim that pop "isn't music". You're the one being biased right now

 

You can dislike something and judge it fairly. For example, I dislike Call of Duty as a matter of taste in games, but I wouldn't flunk it in a review because I can see it merits and why it might appeal to people. 

 

You would still not give CoD a fair rating though, because it simply does not appeal to you. Sure, say "I can see why this appeals to you", but the rating would be a completely different story

Yes, yes I would. I'd in fact very easily give it a "C" because I can fully admit it's fun to pick up cheap and wast a few hours on, I just don't find "OMG TEH BEST THING EVER" like some people do because there's other games I rather play if given the choice.

Well wait a minute...we are only strictly judging based on personal enjoyment? I mean I always like to take into account the talent of the band as well. I wouldn't give a talented band a bad score just because I don't enjoy them, that's not really fair.

Of course, you can rate in whatever way you want, you aren't restricted to one method. I should have made it clear that rating based on personal enjoyment is by far the most common way of rating, and people shouldn't be like "DATS DEH RONG WAY OF RAETING >:CCCC"

I'm only human too, and that would probably be a rant I'd join you on. XD

 

And I see yours, but part of having fun is being somewhat nice about it. It's not really playing fair to flunk whole lists because you dislike one song or artist.

Things have stabilized for the moment (again), but seeing as how this is a blatant pattern, I'm going to leave this here.

 

Numerous conversations throughout this topic, namely page 4 from yesterday just recently, have continually tried to derail this thread with repetitive mini-arguments. So, let's not do that anymore. There's endless forum games in here, to do with music and not. You also have the ability to create new games, as well as go over to Media Discussion to discuss music without the rating aspect. So, if you're upset over someone or something in here, I suggest you be the bigger person and walk out.

 

We're in Cloudsdale for Celestia's sake, if you're going to derail threads with bickering, it should at least be over in one of the discussion boards.
