What Do You Think Happened W/ Sunset Shimmer?

What do you think happened between 'Celestia and 'Sunset Shimmer?
Meaning, what do you think the reason was of 'Celestia not teaching her anymore and banning her to the other world?

 

Personally, I think that maybe 'Shimmer had a little crush on 'Celestia; and she rejected her and 'Shimmer got all violent, thus getting her banned from Equestria and sent into the other world.

 

Or maybe something else had happened, but that's the most common theory.

Well, she probably wanted to become an alicorn, but Princess Celestia felt she wasn't ready yet as she didn't understand friendship yet. Sunset Shimmer probably thought this was unfair because she was probably talented in magic, and got angry with Celestia; leaving Equestria in the process. Just my theory.

The reason for Celestia no longer teaching Sunset Shimmer was because, her mind wasn't in the right place and she started to go down a dark path that Celestia would never go down. So Celestia had to banish her, that way Sunset Shimmer won't be able to be taught by her or return back to Equestria.

If you would pay attention, I'm pretty sure Celestia said that Sunset Shimmer had gotten too greedy with power and had been either banned to that realm or left to that realm. If she were banned I'm pretty sure Celestia would have cast some spell that would stop her from coming back. And actually, she wasn't banned because Celestia said she would've hoped that Sunset would return to continue her studies. So Sunset Shimmer had entered that realm and resided there until finally stealing Twilight's crown. And at the end of the movie Twilight had somehow arranged for Sunset Shimmer and the rest of the school to be all one big happy family of some sort, unless Sunset would tear it all apart again, for some stupid reason.

Well, I read the short comic in the back of my SDCC MLP #9. They explained how she stopped being Celestia's student and how she went to the alternate dimension. I don't know if that'll be accepted as canon but there you go.

Ahh. That's right. I remember that. I believe it actually kind of said that in the movie, or atleast they were trying to say that.

That's true, too. I remember that now, aswell. Since I now have her voice saying that exactly. And that was in the near-beginning of the movie, wasn't it? I think it was.
