When I was your age, I never had these fancy 'electrical appliances'. We had to deal with a gas light, which gave me the coughs for months, as we didn't have your fancy-schmancy doctors or medicines or nurses. Also, instead of getting your namby-pamby 'detentions' and 'cafeteria duty', we were given 12 hits on our bottom (not your fancy butts) with a cane if we sat down, 6 on our hands if we moved our non-writing hand, 24 if we wrote with our left hands and be locked in the stocks in the classroom for 3 days if we talked or breathed. And we never had your fancy 'cafeterias' or 'social security' to keep us safe. We had to get along with the punishments. And out school was the nicest in the hamlet I lived in. As well as that...

Back in my day, boys like myself made fun of girly shows like My Little Pony because....it wasn't FiM of course!

"My Little Pony, ate a bazooka! Now she's splattered all over the floor!"

You see, back in my day, rich men would ride around in Zeppelins, dropping coins on people, and one day I seen J.D. Rockefeller flyin' by. So I run out of the house with a big washtub and... Anyway, about my washtub. I had just used it that morning to wash my pet turkey, which in those days was known as a 'walking bird'. We'd always have walking bird on Thanksgiving, with all the trimmings: cranberries, Injun eyes, and yams stuffed with gunpowder. Then we'd all watch football, which in those days was called 'baseball'

Back in my day, There where these guys called the KGB! And if they caught Yins kids watching these darnded shows they would throw you in good ole Alcatraz! Sadly, our nation has lost it's greatness in exchange for dumb cartoon from japan called Animaize.

I miss the days when everything was perfect.

We didn't have new fangled computers back in my day.

We were so bored we ate dynamite just to watch our hair come out in bangs.

And the girls looked better back then too, that is if you didn't mind...unibrows.

Ah yes, sweet Betty Sue. Those lips, that hair, those ears, that eye.

Hey you kids, Git off my lawn!

I remember when...I remember, I remember when I lost my mind. There was something so pleasant about that place. Even your emotions had an echo in so much space. And when you're out there, without care, yeah I was out of touch, but it wasn't because I didn't know enough. I just knew too much. Does that make me crazy?

A cookie if you know that song. :3

It was survival of the fitst I tell you, and now all you kids have been spoiled too much! I bet you have only even killed two wooly mammoths in your life, when in my day you had to do so weekly to stay int he tribe!

"BACK IN MAH DAY! We did have plumbing, fancy computer screen where you could talk to people online, or any TV's that you could see color! Everything was also dirtier because we didn't have better vacuums and cleaning stuff. Cartoons also we only on Saturday Mornings, and IT WOULD BE UNAIRED if the president got shot or some BS!

"YOU KNOW WHAT?! I like THIS DAY way better than MY DAY!

"Just get rid of the White People and everything would be perfect now."

Back in my day, we didn't have any vidieojer games, we had to play board games. It made us use our heads, so we could be smarter. Somehow though, yah kid's are ruining you brains with these vidaja games, and it drives me bonkers!

"But grampa, if your generation doesn't think our generation got anywhere  doesn't that means your generation screwed up as well, in getting the later generations good?"

...... I love you grandson.

  • 2 weeks later...

Back in my day, Spyro the Dragon was the best series ever conceived! I used to play on the Playstation day and night trying to beat the game, then the second, then the third! I spent half of my time screwing around and having a good time, until I realized I needed to get better at collecting to get to the end. Not too mention Thinking of him and Crash meeting up was my dream. Such good days...

Now all you kids sit around and play some bird tossing game, WITH NO GEMS! Ridiculous I say! Totally smashes any dignity your generation had!

(Plays Call of Duty Black Ops Online and rages like an old hypocrite.)
