Bronyette 835 September 18, 2013 Share September 18, 2013 (edited) Well I drew this for my friend Ratchet Copperwire, and I was wondering if anyone would want to critique this drawing. Its done in my own style, so sorry if you prefer the shows style. Post away~ Fixed... Maybe? Edited September 18, 2013 by Bronyette 3 Click on the Banner for more info! Lucky Lass 528 September 18, 2013 Share September 18, 2013 It's a good start but I feel like the neck is a little thin for him, maybe pull it out more under his chin? Also, his shading could be darker since I can see some of it on his body but not really any of the man shading. If you don't mind me asking, what did you use to shade? The airbrush tool, I might go back and cell shade it because I'm not too happy with how the shading turned out. And yeah. X3 I see what you mean with his neck, I'll have to fix it when I get the chance. I always mess up the neck. Click on the Banner for more info! Guest DJ Hydrolicious September 18, 2013 Share September 18, 2013 Looks pretty damn nice. Though I have to agree with Lucky. The shading is off and it makes it look...erm... bold and little off. But anyways its good.
HunterTSN 1,444 September 18, 2013 Share September 18, 2013 I have an OC called Ratchet and a second called Copperwire, both of which are from over a year ago.... Excellent picture by the way, I love the style. The perspective seems a little strange, it make the muzzle and neck a little awkward. Still it's a hell of a lot better than any of the pictures I have made for my similarly named OCs. 1 Your very own Victorian-styling, airship-flying, super-sizing, brass-lining, quick-drying, detoxifying, low-pricing, newbie-knifing, over-driving, sometimes-hiding, unsurprising, ninja-fighting, perfect-timing, always-smiling, never-lying, best at writing, also rhyming automaton! And it is really strange about your OC's, maybe you both have similar naming tastes. And thanks for the critique. Also in a unrelated note, your avatar is really cool, but everytime I see it it makes me think she is a coffee machine. ... Is she? No she is just a little more advanced than your common household coffee machine and just a little less advanced than a blender. Silverwisp the Bard 2,353 September 18, 2013 Share September 18, 2013 I really like the style, kinda Disney-ish. -The blinking eye line is a bit thick -the ear is a bit thick -the notrils seem a bit asymmetric It'd be interesting to see this cel shaded, though I suspect it might looks better as it is. Would love to see a mare done in this style. My Art Thread, updated (almost) daily Tomorrow will take us away, far from home No one will ever know our names But the bard songs will remain. But the large ears have sorta grown into my style so I hope they don't look too offputting. Click on the Banner for more info!
