Skylight stuck her head out of the window of the train headed to Ponyville. This was it! She was finally moving to Ponyville and starting a new life as a weather pony. She'd heard that as soon as she got there, she was to meet one... Elusive, was his name, who would give her a tour of Ponyville.

 

As she turned round, she bumped into a pretty female pony standing behind her.

She jumped.

"Wah! You made me jump." She sighed.

"Oh sorry!" The other pony cringed, stepping back, "I uh, I'm Feather Whirl. Nice to meet you, I guess?"
"Skylight." She replied.

Feather whirl smiled, "You heading to Ponyville too?"

Skylight nodded, "I'll be a Weather Pony there."

 

"No way, Me too!" Feather grinned, "I'm guessing you're the Unicorn who'll tell us what we need to create, right?"

"Right." Skylight smiled, "That's me."

Bubble berry was just doing his normal routine..

Make cupcakes, help out and such.

"Crud! I almost forgot to welcome  the new pony!"

He said, rushing outside, with her welcome box.

"Oh please tell me im not late!" He said to skylight.

Shardz just woke up.

"That was one heck of a sleep."

She said, as she took a brush and started to brush her hair.

Skylight jumps.

"Oh! No, no, we just got here."

Feather Whirl grins, "Hi Bubbleberry! I'm back from Canterlot. And I remembered that recipe you wanted." She handed him a book.

 

Skylight smiles, "I'm Skylight, nice to meet you!"

"She's the new Weather Unicorn." Feather tells Bubbleberry.

Having had enough beauty sleep for a day, Elusive got up and stretched, in his usual good mood. He gave a calming pet to Opalescence, yet was only greeted by the usual hiss. Elusive backed away in fear, then sighed. "I guess I won't ever get you to behave, huh?" He said, mainly to the cat, then went into the bathroom.

 

He brushed his mane and threw on a fancy robe, then trotted out of the Boutique. He always DID say, "When you're going out of the house, dress up like you're going to meet the love of your life!" Elusive gave a quick smile to anypony he encountered, yet was greeted with glances of surprise and disgust, as if they didn't know who he was.

 

He did get some of the reactions he wanted, though. Just some.

 

Elusive eventually found Bubble Burst greeting some new ponies, and joined in on the group. "My dear, you are new here, yes?" Elusive asked, kissing Skylight's hoof.

Featherwhirl Snickered, but shut up when Skylight looked at her.

 

"Yes, I'm new," Sky smiled, "I'm Skylight, and, you're Elusive, right? Nice to meet you"

Feather Whirl shrugged and walked over to stand by Bubbleberry.

*Skipping the singing*

"Welcome!"

He said.

"Hiya Elusive!"

"Oh there it is!" She said as she put it on.

Elusive gave a warm smile. "Hello, Bubble Berry. Greeting the new guests as usual, correct? I wouldn't blame you. I believe we have a very lovely mare joining us this fine morning," Elusive said, gesturing to Skylight. "Skylight, a beautiful name," Elusive said, smiling at the mare.

 

"Skylight, would you be so kind to join me for a dinner tomorrow? I figured I can give you a tour of Ponyville along the way."

Skylight blushed, "Of course, Elusive, I'd love to. And thanks Bubble berry, for the welcome, I mean."

Feather Whirl grinned, "No problem, Bubble berry, My pleasure."

Then Feather glanced up, "There's a storm coming. Where you staying, Sky?"

"Um... I'm staying in a Hill view cottage."

Bubble teased and stuck out his tounge.

Shardz, who just teleported in.. heard him in mid taunt.

She glared.

"Stop taunting elusive! He can be with who ever he wants."

"Oh your no fun.." He said.

"Grr.." Shardz growled at him.

Skylight went red.

Feather Whirl laughed, "Come on, Sky! He was only teasing. Besides,-"

"Don't even finish hat sentence." She told the grinning Pegasus.

"But it's true!" Skylight rolled her eyes.

 

She looked at the new pony, "Hi, I'm Skylight, nice to meet you..."

Feather Whirl sighed, "Boo, no fun!"

Skylight just chuckled.

Shardz said while she stared down the pegasis.

"I can be plenty fun. just dont piss me off like Bubble did."

She said.

"Anyways.. The names Quartz Shardz, or just Shardz."

She introduced herself.

"killjoy.." He muttered. "HEARD THAT!" Shardz said as she bonked him on the head.

Feather straightened up, "Oh, I didn't mean you, Shardz! I meant Sky!"

Skylight smiled, "Hullo, Shardz, I'm Skylight, but most ponies call me Sky."

Feather grinned, "Did you get a load of Sky and Elusive?"

Skylight rolled her eyes, "Be quiet, would you? Sheesh." She shook her head.

 Elusive rolled his eyes. "Please, you ponies are just jealous you can't get a date so easily," Elusive said to the group. "We meet again tomorrow, Skylight!" Elusive waves, trotting away from the group towards the Carousel Boutique. After all, he was a busy stallion today.

Skylight watched him go, before smiling.

"You so like him." Feather Whirl drew her back to reality.

Skylight began trotting towards her cottage, because she had check tomorrow's forecast and broadcast it.

"Well, at least I have someone I like."

Feather frowned, "No fair."

 

Skylight laughed, "Well, this world really isn't all that fair."

"Well." Shardz said.

"We can be really good friends skylight! I actually think your name is awesome." She smiled.

"Come by my house. i got a welcoming present."

She said, levitating her adress.

"Meet me there when you want it. I will wait."

She said while walking to her house.

Skylight smiled, "Thanks, Shardz, See you in a bit!"

She opened the door to her cottage with magic, then trotted inside.

Feather grinned, "Alright, see you Sky!"

"Bye, Feather!" She called.

 

"Right then." Skylight checked her weather maps, then proceeded to write to the Weather ponies the schedule for the week.

After she'd finished, she made herself a cup of tea and trotted out the door, the cup of tea levitating behind her.

Equinox woke up with a yawn and stretch as he got up from his bed and looked out his window. "Another bright day..."Equinox heard his stomach grumble as he went to clean himself up and put his glasses on. "Another day where I need to go buy my own food also" He said as he grabbed his saddlebags and left his house

"Well." Shardz said.

"We can be really good friends skylight! I actually think your name is awesome." She smiled.

"Come by my house. i got a welcoming present."

She said, levitating her adress.

"Meet me there when you want it. I will wait."

She said while walking to her house.

Skylight took a sip of her tea as she knocked on Shardz's door.

"Hullo, it's Skylight." She called.

 

Feather Whirl bounced towards her stall at the market.

She may be a weather pony, but she also was an awesome baker.

She sold bread, cakes, and a lot of that kind of thing.

She opened her saddle bags to display a group of Croissants.

"Ah! I belive thats sky." She said as she opened her door.

"Come on in!" She welcomed, and rummaged through a drawer and found her gift.

"Wait a minute, mmk? This will literally take a few minutes."

'Where did i put that damn friendship bracelet that i made for her...' She thought.

"I wonder where the closest place to eat is" Equinox said to himself as he passed by different ponies as he went to the market place. "Now...what am I going to eat" Equinox said as he passed by many stalls serving food but nothing really looked good to him though

Skylight stepped inside, "No problem." She smiled. She couldn't help but think of tomorrow, and Elusive.

It'd be a new experience, that's for sure!

Feather Whirl thought for a moment, before pulling the blinds up and opening her stall.

She began humming to herself, as she put some dough in the oven.

"AH HAAAAH! Here we are!" She said, with a small blue box.

"Here. This is what i wanted to give to you." She gave it to sky.

"I made it. It was a PAAAIN to make, but its so totally worth it!" She smiled.

"Go on! Open it! I made it special." She said as she waited hopefully for a thank you.

(Its supposed to make her feel welcome.)

Skylight smiled back, then opened the box.

((I hope I get this right...))

 

Inside was a beautiful cloud like bracelet that fitted Skylight well.

"Th-thanks!" She stammered, in awe of it's beauty.

She put it on and grinned, "it's awesome, Thanks a lot, Shardz, I love it."

 

Sky admired it some more.

"Aye! That took me a long time to make! It's no problem!"

Shardz smiled.

"I can teach you if ye want! I made that outta some spare scrap cloth and a bit of cotton from Elusive."

She said happily.
"The braiding part is the easiest, the hard part is decorating it! My dad taught me this."
 

[Professor Tocks 10]

"It took you a while? You didn't have to do that! But, I'm grateful for it, and I'd love to learn how. Would you like me to pick up some cloth from Elusive? I'm on my way past his boutique today. I could drop in and ask for some."

She smiled.

 

Feather yawned, it had been a long day yesterday, but, she always found relaxation in baking.
