"What...? Oh, hey! Sorry, I got lost in thought." Cinder replied, blinking widely. Of course, it happened often enough normally but when she was tired...

 

'Its not like I just phase out or anything... well, not much anyway. And I'm still listening to what's going on. I can multitask! Wait... what was that last part again?'

 

"Coffee, yeah, I'll be fine once I've got some coffee. Lets go!"

Where is she," it thought, "I left her the map for a reason. Unless..." It stopped moving as it thought about there being the possibly of other doors. "She's probably already inside... Whatever slight change in plans." She went through the lunchroom doors and walked by a pony sitting at a table, thinking she would remain unseen.  

 

Shivty pushed away her tray of nasty food and chugged her can of soda and gargled with the rest of it to get the taste out of her mouth. Even though it felt like she eat a hemorrhoid off a pigs asshole she still was hungry. She see dark looking pony walk past her. 'Maybe she'll know a place to get some food that don't taste like shit.' She thought. "Hey? You know any place around here that don't serve ass for food?" She ask the shadowy pony

"Okay... I'll just tell you later then." Blazing said, walking inside. Crap... This is not helping... He thought. He knew the longer he waited the less chance there was he would have the courage to tell her. He needed to say something, and soon. But she wanted me to tell her later... I'll wait... He thought.

Pixie jumped onto the bed. "I..." Pixie started to say something but couldn't find the right words. "You can tell me what you wanted to I guess." She sighed, her throat stinging in sorrow. Pixie crawled under the covers and found some courage to look right into his eyes.

Well, now's your chance... Don't buck this up! His mind told him. "Well... I... Um..." He said, struggling to even just say three simple words. "Never mind." He said quickly, unable to just say it. No! Don't buck this up! His mind shouted. He finally listened and just went for it, not wanting to screw up. "I love you." He said as quickly as he could, making it almost completely incoherent. If she understood me, well she understood me and I can go with it from there, if she didn't... Well I'm just gonna have to try again later. He decided, planning ahead.

On the outside, he showed almost no expression whatsoever, but on the inside he was both screaming and crying at the same time. THIS IS WHY I DON'T TRY ANYMORE! THIS IS WHY I DON'T BUCKING TRY! On the outside, he showed almost no expression whatsoever, but on the inside he was both screaming and crying at the same time. THIS IS WHY I DON'T TRY ANYMORE! THIS IS WHY I DON'T BUCKING TRY! ALL IT ENDS IN IS PAIN AND MISERY! He mentally screamed.

 

"I'm too scared I'll hurt you..." She added, burying her face into the pillow so all that he could hear would be a muffled whisper. She wanted to hide and never come out.

 

"I know you hurt a lot... I can tell it in your eyes. But I never want to be the one to cause you to feel sad." Pixie sighed, feeling very conflicted. She rolled around so her face was away from the stallions sight, wanting to get away from broken stares.

Shadow continued walking thinking that the pony was talking to someone else, but after a moment it didn't hear anyone else reply. "No that's impossible. What am I thinking!" Shadow slowly turned around and faced the pony that apparently talked to it. Just to prove it's own point, shadow answered with a sarcastic remark, "Yes I do, after being in school for a day I know 'ex-act-ly' where to find a five star restaurant."

There's no reason to be a bitch about it. Or is your head so far up your ass that nothing but shit comments come out of your mouth?" She says with clinched teeth.

"Like when we were in that warehouse...together, I felt something I haven't ever felt before... Maybe there can be something someday, but decisions like that take time and a lot of considerations. " She just couldn't stand to be in the same room anymore, guilt was taking over once again. 

W... Blazing didn't even know what he was trying to think. He couldn't get a single thought anymore, not after what had just happened. He had been rejected a lot, but something about this time hurt worse than any other time. It was almost as bad as the day he got his cutie mark, the same day that his life started going downhill completely.

Shadow stumbled backwards in shock and 'nearly' fell into a table as the pony responded again. "This has to be some kind of a joke," it thought, "She heard me as well!" 

 

A list of half finished thoughts filled Shadows mind as it stared at the pony, "How can you even- no who are- wait what are." It was only able to screem three words in reply to what had just happened, "What-the-fuck!"

Pixie walked out of the room, feeling absolutely awful. 'I know I really do like him back..' She thought to herself, walking slowly into the hallway.

"I wonder where that warehouse is?" Blazing wondered out loud. He walked outside the dorm and headed toward the front door of the school. I need some time alone, and where better to spend it than in a crappy worn down warehouse filled with nothing but empty boxes? He thought to himself sarcastically.

'Why... do I feel like this... other than...' She dare not think the obvious. Pixie had never felt like that before, the night of the warehouse incident. She looked down to her hooves and watched her own tears pound onto the ground. 'He needs a friend more than anything... He isn't ready for a relationship yet...' The mare thought, hitting herself in the leg. 

Blazing walked into the warehouse and walked upstairs. "Wasn't there something my friend used to say... Like, punching boxes is helpful when you're in a bad mood or something?" He asked himself. He decided to test it by punching a random box. The box just collapsed in on itself the minute his hoof hit it. "How disappointing..." He said to himself. "Well, at least I'm not alone in here, I have boxes, lots and lots of boxes." He said to himself, faking happiness. Anyone who saw him would think he had gone completely insane.

Plodding into the cafeteria, Cinder eagerly bought herself a coffee, despite not really enjoying the taste of it at all, and sat down, nursing it carefully and quickly drinking the piping hot drink.
 
"Ah! Ah! Hot!" She gasped, before drinking more regardless.
 
A couple of minutes later she could feel the effects starting to kick in: her head felt a lot less foggy and she could feel life coming back to her limbs.
 
"Who's making all that noise? That sounds like..."

Pixie finally made her way to the warehouse, she crawled into the window as she did the last time. As the mare made her way though the window she fell into the pile of glass she knocked out last time. Pixie just lay in the shards of glass for a few moments before starting to get up. Somehow that felt better than that talk with Blaze earlier. 

Blazing heard noises from downstairs, and instantly moved to the shade. He tried to cover himself by moving behind a stack of what used to be boxes. Whoever it is... All I have to do is wait for them to leave then I can start heading back. He thought. Suddenly his thoughts started wandering a little bit. I wonder if I could get one of my family members to enchant this stone to be filled with magic... I'll be able to use it when my heart is broken for the final time. He thought. He knew that if he spent all his magic, he would die, so he needed the stone to give him a little bit more. If he had some extra magic, he wouldn't know exactly when all of it was going to be gone. It'll be much easier if I don't expect it. He reminded himself.

She thought to herself to lighten her mood, it didn't work. She figured she would check out the upstairs next, just to see the broken ceiling, as strange as that sounded to her.
