Luna & Celestia (mouse art)

So a little while back I said I was going to be doing more princess art because I dont to enough, so this time I decided to do Luna and Celestia.

 

The lines are really sloppy in both of these because I did draw them with a mouse.

 

Why did I draw them with the mouse you ask?

 

Well, because  and @Bronyette inspired me to do mouse art due to the fact the both of them seem to do a lot of their art with a mouse. I have a lot appreciation for mouse art because I know that Im terrible at vectors and Im pretty much useless without my drawing tablet.

 

I also did this because I cant draw with a mouse at all and wanted to challenge myself.

 

Both of these were by fare two of the most difficult digital drawings I have ever done especially, because I didnt use a base or have anything to trace.

 

Pretty much pure free hand mouse drawings.

You are sooo right, drawing with a mouse is a pain. I have to do all my art with a mouse and it literally takes forever. 

 

But what you got there seems pretty darn nice for a first time with the a mouse. The shading is pretty darn nice too with Lunas mane. 8/10

Yeah, Luna's mane is pretty complex but, to be completely honest I had a much harder time drawing Celestia than Luna.

You can tell where I had a hard time with the lighting in her hair. 

 

 I was going to mention you in this post as well but, I couldn't tell if you did your art with the mouse or not. 

I might do a Princess Cadence one but, Im still if-y about it.

I really want to do it because Im happy with how both of these came out but, I have no idea how I would go about it.

To tell you the truth I was also planning on doing one of these mouse drawings for Vinyl as well.

Amazing job! You nailed them both! 

Wish I could do that sort of stuff myself, but I am terrible at all art except for low resolution retro style graphics (such as 32x32).

 

You've inspired me to go and have a shot at this myself (and probably fail)!

I actually wish I knew how to do retro pixel art, I would do it much more often if I did. 

 

Im not even sure as to what program people use to do pixel art. (other than photoshop)
