Discord and The Killing Joke

So I noticed that a lot of people in this fandom compare Discord to the Joker, which is not wrong, as both have a lot in common with each other, although Discord is a god or at least a demi god while the Joker is a mortal. But as both are very a like The Jokers actions in The Killing Joke makes him different than Discord.

 

So my question is, do you think that Discord before redeemtion would have done the same as what the Joker did in the comic "The killing joke"?

I can't exactly compare the two, since the Killing Joke actually had the creation of Joker's origin in which Batman wasn't able to save Jack Napier from becoming the Joker. It may have done the same for Discord before his redemption, I'm not sure.

As far was we know, Discord has never outright killed anyone. Probably because dead ponies make poor playthings and while Discord can warp reality, the barrier of life & death isn't quite with the realms of chaos (tho plently of fics have implied he could, with assistance).

 

Joker just kills people because thats where the fun is for him.

Actually I was talking about what he did to Barbara Gordon and James Gordon. You know, the shooting, stripping, the ride, the photos, and nearly causing James to go crazy.

My apologies. Discord wouldn't actually commit to murder since, that is literally out of his character. Joker does this out of fun, and to try to get some excitement out of what he does.

I agree with you that Unlike The Joker Discord would never kill anyone. But in the killing Joke The Joker never killed anyone although Barbara nearly died.

All what I am saying do you think Discord would commit "Such Acts" on let us say Twilight and forces Night Light or Shining Armor to watch it while they are all tied up, only for his entertainment?

In that case, no. Discord doesn't exactly intend harm when he is trying to have some enjoyment in entertaining himself, he wouldn't go through with committing ''such acts.''

Discord is about as joker, as you can get in MLP.  He's humerus, has style, and isn't concerned about bringing the house down,

in fact i very much seems to like doing it.

 

he's not about possessions,

he's about sending a point.

 

Now this is the major difference.

discord doesn't seem hell bent on a adversary.

he doesn't seem to like being apposed, thought he does love an audience.
The joker Loves the bat man.  That's not shipping speculation, he's certainly enthralled by him.

 

Discord doesn't see twilight sparkel and  smirk thinking It's gonna be a good day."

 

not to say discord wouldn't love to stick it to celetia but i don't think he needs her to get out of bed in the morning,
