They already have stated multiple times that death will not be a part of the show in any great detial, hence why it's merely implied that the Apple family had their parents die (or in Granny Smith's case, her son/daughter). In fact, it's possible they aren't even dead. So that is out of the question.

 

It would be a thumbnail then! Since i am not spefically focusing on Death.

So what about three other offered villains?

So is Harmony and friendship. They are the things in which those ponies believing in, and they are good in their opinions.

Opinion!! Harmony is what being controlled by order and law, harmony is the perfect homeostasis of nature in which satisfying both sides where good triumphs and evil dooms. Harmony is merely a state of nature and the Elements of Harmony is a symbol of that.

 

What i am trying to say here that Harmony currently standing on good side, Harmony is just like a button sitting on good mode.

Imagine like this:

 

On the other side, the bad mode is awaiting that harmony to be on their side. Mastermind trying to use the Mane 6 to bring Harmony to him so he can activate what is opposite of freedom and too much of order. It is domination!

 

To put Equestria in to the eternal ordered state where Discord and other villains perished, freedom dies and hope doesn't exsist.

 

Your suggesting harmony is balance. 
As i've suggested that discord literally needs to exist because chaos is a natural thing.

And in a world where chaos ceased to exist, harmony likely would be forced to encompass both words.

With out chaos the world would lose it's natural balance.

 

With out chaos equistra would fail to be inspired. It would cease to evolve.  order doesn't inspire.  it maintains.

Chaos is creation.

So yes I think Equistra would rot.

He is trying to order the Equestria back to form before chaos, because before chaos it was order.

Order allowed randomness and randomness raging out of control which creating chaos.

Order allowed chaos! Mastermind believed that domination is good.

He wants to kill all evils and chaos through using lies itself. 

He failed to realize that chaos is allowed with a reason that he can not see, the universe is out of balance in which the world would be reigned without emotions and all creatures would be really miserable. They are only robots to obey and do biddings under the Mastermind.

 

Mastermind need to be stopped!
