SveciaDash 364 October 25, 2013 Share October 25, 2013 I would say go for it. While you might not get a positive response from some people you might meet some amazing people! And lets be real people who would call you ''gay'' or a ''fag'' arent worth your time and their pity comments shouldnt change the way you think about yourself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s_m-Ez3W5h4&index=1&list=FLLNWmj4RL7o54o2Txvsj8Ag
Jamesblorg39welsh 125 October 26, 2013 Share October 26, 2013 If yore looking for something that doesn't scream brony the flutter shy fatality shirt should work but whenever my friend wears his Octavia shirt he hides it with an unzipped jacket "If you feel the need to treat me like garbage, I'll feel the need to throw you into the back of a compressing garbage truck." "I'd rather "go to hell" for hugging a guy I like then makeout in heaven with a girl I don't." idonotreallycare 94 October 26, 2013 Share October 26, 2013 If you want to, do it. It's your choice, and you don't have to if you don't want to. If you do, don't mind the negative comments if you get any. It might also help if you wear a non-obvious shirt that most people won't get. Personally, I would. I've never gotten a negative comment when I wear mine, but I rarely wear it, so a lot of people I know haven't seen it. It's a pretty obvious design, too. -BleachedOne- 233 October 26, 2013 Share October 26, 2013 Personal opinion? Try some pins. That was how I slowly eased my way into it (though I AM in college and people are FAR more accepting out of public school), along with wristbands. Pins are a good way to start, maybe a minimalistic shirt. I went a bit overkill with my first shirt, and I made it myself for a brony presentation in my Speech class. Though it was a rather nice vector of Blackjack from Fallout: Equestria Project Horizons, nobody really cared. I keep it as a testament to the day I opened up, no matter how wrinkled and messed up the iron-on design is. ~Seraphim~ ~:What's so fun about firing at targets that aren't moving?:~ Yakumo Yukari ~Touhou Project~
Moved to Elsewhere 11,331 October 26, 2013 Share October 26, 2013 Maybe. When I wear pony stuff to school usually barely anyone even notices. But then again, different schools could have people who aren't as accepting. So if you do wear stuff I'd recommend starting off small like a pin or wristband at Hot Topic. Or if you do wear a shirt, like other people have said make it something that only bronies would get.
Moss 95 October 26, 2013 Share October 26, 2013 (edited) Contrary to what most people here have said, I personally wouldn't wear any MLP clothing in public. I value having a good reputation where I live. I wouldn't want people to suddenly change their perspective on me, and treat me differently, just because of a show that I like. To me, it's not worth all of the drama and trouble just to wear a shirt. Yes, it's unfair that people would misjudge others for something like watching MLP. But, the world is full of intolerant people, which will never change. I learned to accept that. Finally, someone who gets that you just have to accept this.Although it would be nice if you could express yourself how you want in society as long as your not harming anybody, you can't really do it without repurcussions, big or small. But on topic,if you really need to express the show, then wear something, but make it quite subtle to avoid discrimination.
