She lay down underneath a particularly large one and looked at the stars, eventually falling asleep with one eye and an ear open. What am I doing? (Time warp?) "Wait, if he was the second gate, then who/what the heck was the first?" Krein thought to himself awhile, and then spoke again to try and come up with an answer. "Could it have been the dragon? Maybe each 'gate' is a challenge directed towards not only all of us, but somepony in particular." He turned to Snowfell. "You said that that black dragon we fought had scales that could reflect your magic. The shadow mage caused problems for me due to my... 'original self'."
