Is one gender more shallow than the other?

Both are very shallow at times. It's just how humans are. I would lend my bias towards girls being more shallow because all they care about is looks, but I know full well both sides can be shallow.

It really doesn't matter whice gender is more shallow, because it depends on the person, not so much their gender.  Upbringing and overall personality contributes to any person being shallow or not. Plus it also depends on the situation in which someone may be acting shallow in.  I know a lot of girls who can be very shallow, even though guys seem to be considered more shallow than gals. My husband is not shallow at all, and I know other guys who aren't shallow either.  But then again, I know people from both sexes who are shallow as can be.
