Cygnus 60 November 27, 2013 Share November 27, 2013 (edited) I think it may be worth nothing that people aren't particularly good at telling fake smiles from real ones, excluding the ones that don't even look like a human expression. I have moderate success with fake smiles, and all I did was look at the comments sections wherever those fake vs real smile tests were posted for what not to do in order to be suspect. Smiling more when you talk to people or are out in public is definitely a good idea since it puts others at ease and communicates friendliness. However, as an extension of my loathing for the modern Cult of Positivity, I'm not a fan of pressuring people to fake too much positivity.
