You're gonna have to understand that the rainbow has essentially been co-opted by the LGBT community, and any use of it besides for that is gonna take a little explanation. There are far worse things to be than gay. Good on you for taking it with stride and ignoring ignorance, as it were.

The last time i told someone in my school about mlp was at his home after we played Amnesia from start to end.

We all were like:

"Ok, we need something to compensate for the amount of fear we recieved."

"I know, let's watch MLP."

 

We watched the first episode but when the prologue came to the eternal darkness part, he stopped the video and said:

"Thats it, im not going to watch anything about darkness today."

After this we decided to stare at the lamp till we recovered.

 

I think everyone in my class knows that i watch it but since im big and bearded they would rather call me Wookie than gay.

(Which is not bad, since i can exactly sound like one it became a rather pleasant nickname)
