Chocolate Swirl has just moved from his parents house in Ponyville to the big city of Manehatten. He is rather shy and timid, and starts getting frightened with all the other ponies around him. "Why did I move here? HERE, OF ALL PLACES!" He thinks to himself, "Do get out and see the world, you silly filly." He says to himself, he still panics and starts running, in his panicked state he doesnt watch where he is going and he bumps into a mare, and trips over.

Fire Sharp had a huge day at the ambassadors office, usually the office work days weren't part of her job, but sometimes she had to go to cities and go talk to people and such. And of course it was housed in Manehatten, the bustling city of equestria where it was always backed. 

Ponies walked along and pushed past her, she was out of uniform and in civilian clothes so they all thought she was just another mare to walk by. 

But then someone ran into her, and they both tripped in the crowd.

Chocolate Swirl gets up first, "I..I'm so sorry ma'am, I'm new here and I...I'm usually not this clumsy, but I panicked, I'm used to being in Ponyville, but decided to finally move out and see the world. Oh look at me rambline." He offers her a hoof up, "My name is Chocolate Swirl by the way."

Fire looked at the stallion, and took his offer of help.

"Mine's Fire Sharp, nice to meet you Swirl. And it's alright, Mane is busy almost all of the time, and if you ain't used to it you ain't use to it."

As soon as they both got up though the crowds started to get a little growly, since they were both pretty much in the way. Fire brings them both down the side of the path so that they wouldn't get yelled at by the ponies walking by. 

"You gotta watch out around here really, it doesn't take much for the crowds to get angry over here"

Chocolate Swirl smiles and giggles a little nervously, "So it would seem." is all he could say, he then looks into her eyes, Oh wow! they're beautiful! Say something you silly filly, don't be rude. "So, is there anywhere decent to stay here? I'm kind of tired of dragging my luggage everywhere." Smooth, real smooth!

Fire smiled, the poor guy, didn't even know where to stay.

"Mate, You should have thought about that before you got here! I'm staying at the embassy 'cause of my work, but I reckon you can get into a few good hotels now on short notice. If you mention my name your sure to get into some real good ones for free."

Chocolate Swirl nods, "Well I did book a room at a hotel but when I got there, I found out there was a problem. The hotel had been overbooked,  I was lucky enough to get a refund though, and thanks for the suggestion." He smiles, "It sure is nice to know that there are some nice ponies out here."

"Your sure to find many a good pony out there Swirl, though Im glad that I could help you out."

Fire went to go leave so that she could head over to the embassy, but then she had a thought. He was a good stallion, and he had only just moved here, maybe she could help him out a bit. 

"Hey, I'm free tonight and since you're new I could give you a tour of the place."

Chocolate Swirl liked the idea of a tour so he gladly accepted, "That sounds like a great idea, thanks." he says as he picks up his luggage. "May I ask, you say you work at the embassy, what exactly do you do for a living?" He asks, showing genuine interest in her.

"Oh, I'm a squad commander. I usually work on the battlefields way out but when my team comes back to civilisation I have to work and that in the city. My squad hits a lot of trouble most times and I have to be the representative for them in they get in some serious trouble with another government. Or I just do paperwork like like this time around."

Fire sharp smiled again, liking this stallion already. Though another thought popped into her head, how was she meant to find him for her tour?

"Hey, since I don't know where you'll end up tonight is alright if you swung by the embassy?"

Chocolate Swirl says, "Srue thing that won't be a problem. Just give me the address and I'll swing by at 7?" He says, Wow, beautiful AND nice, also a very interesting job. He thinks to himself, He smiles at her, What a first day here eh? Sure it was a bit of a rocky start, but hey look, you bumped into a pony who is obviously very important.

"Its 117 bridle road, its a pretty big place so you wont miss it. See ya at 7 then."

Fire smiled at the stallion once more before turning around and started going back to where she was heading, looking forward to the date she had tonight with the stallion. The poor thing needed a tour anyway with a city this large.

Chocolaete Swirl smiled to himself as he watched Fire Sharp leave, he started making his way looking for a hotel. He finds one that he liked the look of and walks into the lobby. Walking up to the front desk he asks for a room and mentions Fire Sharp's name. The pony behind the desk smiles, "Ah so you're a friend of Fire Sharp?" Chocolate nods, "Well I only just met her before, but she said to mention her name." The pony takes a look at the registry, "You're in luck sir, we have one room left, it's the penthouse suite too." Chocolate's jaw drops, he didn't ever think that once in his life, that he would be able to ever stay in a penthouse suite, he glady accepts the key and walks off to his room while the bellcolt took his bags up there. There was still time for a nap before the tour, so he lays down on his bed and takes a nap, setting the alarm for 6:30 before dropping off to sleep.

Fire walked in through the front doors of the embassy, walking by the front desk and gave a hello and smile to the male secretary.

"Hello General, you hitting the hay for the night."

"Nah Blizzard, I got some more paper work then I got to give someone a tour of Mane."
"Oh, well then enjoy your night Ma'am."

 

Fire kept walking till she got to her office, with her connecting room through the door near the back. She went back to looking over reports and inquiries for a little while before she decided to get ready for her little date.

Time went by quickly and soon Chocolate Swirl's alarm clock rang. He woke up, turned the alarm off and went into the bathroom to groom himself. He brushes his teeth and fixes up his mane and tail which had been a bit of a mess lately. He looks at the time,  Not much time left! I'd better hurry. He gets his bits bag out and takes out quite a fair bit. Better prepared than not at all, He thinks to himself. He then leaves his room, locks it behind him and leaves to go to the embassy.

Fire looked back at the clock on her desk, she finished about 5 stacks of paperwork today, a good haul. But it was nearly time before she had to go with Chocolate swirl.

She moved from her desk to her connecting room, shutting the door behind her so she could have some privacy while she got dressed. 

It wasn't long till she finished up in there, walking out in just a simple jacket that looked perfect on her. She headed over to the front desk to wait for her date, so he didn't have to come find her through the maze of a place.

After running through the crowds in the streets and checking his map every now and then, he finally reaches the embassy. He looks at the time, 6:58, Whew just in time. He somewhat nervously walks into the embassy, from the outside it looked huge, but the inside was even more impressive, but what was more impressive to him was Fire Sharp, he smiles and walks over to her.

"Hello Fire Sharp." He says with a smile.

"Hey swirl, be ready for the best tour you'll ever have!"

Fire waved by at Blizzard storm who was manning the desk, and he waved back to her. They had become friends over her continuous stays over at the embassy, and had helped her out a few times.

She then walked over to Swirl and walked them both to the doors leading outside, the cold air leaving a slight chill when it blew through the open door.

Dust Storm shivered a littlte, but it didn't bother him at all. What mattered was that a very beautiful mare was giving him a tour. He turns to Fire Sharp, "Oh by the way, I found a hotel that I liked, and thanks for saying that I could mention your name, they only had one room left, but as soon as I mentioned your name, they said I could have it. It was the penthouse suite too." He says smiling, "Oh, jsut listen to me ramble on, I've never been this excited before."

"Its alright, you can say my name in heaps of places here and ponies will let you go on, some even recognize me straight off too."
Fire walked along the pathway with swirl, the crowds being less since it was getting late and the night was showing. Fire was taking him to a really nice spot in the city, that would give them a really good view of the city, it was one of her favourite spots in the city.

Though as they walked by she would point out little things to him as well, giving him a bit of local knowledge of things and showing him the sites not many could recognize.

Chocolate Swirl smiled as they walked and when Fire Sharp pointed out spots. He decided not to take his camera with him or to go ooh and aah too many times, as he didn't want to seem touristy, especially not to Fire Sharp. He then finally gets the courage up to say to her, "Fire Sharp, forgive me if I'm blunt and straight to the point but, uh, how do I say this... From the moment I saw you, after I bumped into you, i mean, i.. well I think that you are a very nice and beautiful mare. and please, I'm not saying this to try to impress you, I just thought you'd appreciate me being honest and straight forward about it. It is how I honestly feel, even though we've only known each other for a very short time."

Fire sharp looked at Swirl, her eyes widened just slightly. She had thought that he looked quite handsome, and he seemed like a very nice guy, so it was a great compliment with what he said. And that little rambling speech just made her like him that little bit more.

" Thank you Swirl, and I understand that you're not trying to impress me or anything, I think thats kinda sweet how your rambling on here. And you're quite the handsome stallion as well."

Fire smiled to reassure the poor stallion, though they kept walking along through their chat and they had reached the spot she wanted to take him. They were at the edge of a large park near the edge of the city, and Fire wanted to take him to the top of the hill so that they could have a perfect view of the city.

There was no one else there at the park, and it was actually a little bit dark, though the moon gave enough light to see clearly enough in front of you.

Chocolate Swirl smiles, he honestly didn't think that she'd take it so well, and when she complimented him back, his heart beat so loud he could hear it. "You r..really think I'm handsome" He stammers and blushes a deep red. Oh for Celestia's sake! Now I'm blushing, I hope she doesn't notice.

"Of course I do!"

Fire's smile grew a little bit more, finding it slightly funny at how Swirl was a little jittery. She kept walking though and headed for the steep hill near the back of the park, it not being too far away from where they were now. 

"C'mon, this is the best part of the tour. Just up this hill."

Chocolate Swirl didn't mind a little climbing, he was used to it, from when he worked with his parents in Ponyville, plus it was good exercise. "Ok then, a little climbing will be good for my heart." He then facehoofs himself, "I'm sorry, that was kinda dumb, wasn't it?"
