Critical took his place next to pinkie as the two colts began to argue.

"I don't even think they hear me."

"Probably not. So, whats the plan?"

Steel looked at critical "okay so send sompony in with a sonar get a scan then we'll talk about the plan " steel said "who are we sending in " steel asked he didn't bother saying anything to blaze he assumed he would understand what the plan was for now cc " not pinkie one of us they will know that she was rescued and of they see her then we are screwed"

"I'm too tired to argue right now Steel, if someone would be as so kind to show me to y quarters so I may rest?"

Though Blaze was hungry he often was able to ignore it till a proper meal was to be had, he didn't like the idea of sending one point in for recon but he hadn't another idea to take its place

Huh, oh. I would suggest sending in somepony who isn't in the least bit suspicious. So Steel that leaves you out because, well... you look like a bit terrifying. Slipstream and Dash are a bit impatient to just stand in a bank for a few minutes. And Pinkie..."

Steel nodded "sounds good so we'll send in the new pony have him scan the bank the we'll make a plan to get the necklace" steel said he had pulled out jus dagger and was now spinning it on his hoof thinking about what he would do after this was over he assumed he would resume his hunt " just don't act suspicious"

Critical looked under the console and brought out a band with a small box on it.

This is what you will be using, It has a miniature perception filter on it so it will be invisible until you point it out. It also has the sonar on it with the data I collected from Pinkie."

"Fine, I'm not some pony to disobey orders, but I'm not going till I rest, I've been training and wandering for a while, it's been sometime since I've rested and recuperated, I agree to collect intel but only in the morning at the moment I'm not at mental and physical peak"

"Fine. Rest if you wish. We'll do the intel gathering in the morning. I expect you to be here. I'm a lite sleeper so I will be waiting. As for the rest of you, do as you wish. Just don't bring a lot of attention to yourselves. I'm going to set the scanners to see if I can get a fix on Twilight in... Baltimare."

Critical said the last word as if he had a terrible taste in his mouth.

As Blaze walked off he nodded towards Critical "I'll be up and ready, oh and one thing, Don't Touch My Sword," As Blaze said this with large emphasis he shot a glance towards Pinkie Pie, and trotted off towards his quarters, "night, crew" Blaze thought by now he might start to warm up to the new crew, but he knew now that it was going to take longer than just an hour. Blaze opened the door to his quarters walked in and inhaled the crisp air, 'no ones been in here for a while' Blaze thought to himself, as he set down his sword, Blaze began to practice his meditation technique "hope these ponies know something about privacy"

Critical was going to continue when he backed off at the futility of arguing with the mare.

"Forget it. Pinkie, could you hold this handle in place."

She gave a nod and held it in place as he began to search for Twilight. He wouldn't be able to get a better fix on her location until they get there.

As Blaze finished up his meditation, he drifted off to sleep, though Blaze was asleep for a few hours it only felt like minutes inside is head, Blaze looked around in his dreams, something felt wrong. Blaze was never completely safe not in a flying ship and not in his dreams either, 'Bbbllllaaazzzzeeeeee' "who's there what do you want !? As Blaze continued to wander in his dreams he felt warm, very, very warm.... Blaze felt as if something was burning him "aargh stop... Stop!!!!" Blaze couldn't breathe but he could only think if one thing that was so hot inside this vessel, "Clarent" he mumbled "some pony help" he whispered as he fell to his knees inside his dream

A few hours passed as Critical had side tract to another project. The pink mare grew on him. She was a good assistant.

"Okay, Pinkie. I need you watch the crystal and tell me if you see anything abnormal. In fact, tell me if anything happens at all."
"Okey-dokey-lokey."
She began to watch the crystal as if it was an interrogation. Critical on the other hand was calibrating a light beam to a certain frequency.

"Okay, put your goggles o-"

Before he could finish he turned around and saw goggles on her already. Shrugging it off, he began to take aim.

Blaze couldn't endure it any longer, something was happening to him in reality and he couldn't help himself, Blaze got from his knees and with the last of his strength the he could muster up Blaze yelled with all his lungs "HELP" so loud into reality it could be heard echoing throughout the entire ship

Critical turned off the machine as he heard a cry for help.

"Wait. Pinkie did you hear that?

"Hold on... *Gasp, someponies in trouble!
Critical took off his goggles and he and Pinkie began to gallop towards the pony in need. They galloped through the endless halls and passed the console room. They openened a door to the guest room to find Blazing.

It felt like days Blaze was on the ground whispering help to himself doubting anyone could hear him, he had never been so warm and vulnerable, "I don't wanna die like this" Blaze had never been one to give up but he didn't know what to do, he didn't know what to fight, it was his dream but he wasn't controlling it

"Pinkie, help me bring him to the console room.

Critical and Pinkie lifted the writhing Blazing off the ground, taking him to the main room. There they sat him down on the red couch while Critical went over to get the neural relay cable.

"Okay Pinkie, I need you to hold him down."
She did as she was told.

"Sun Stone."

The image of the blue mare appeared above the console.

"Yes?"

"I need you to enter his mind. See what is causing him to do... this."

The mare nodded and disappeared. Critical placed the cable onto the back of Blazings neck, connecting to his spine. From there the mare was free to enter.

"GGAAAHHH!!!, what the heck just happened!?", Blaze gripped his back in agony, 'They are tryinggg to cccyypher your secrets Blaze.... Don't let them!' "Stop!! I don't know what to do!!," Blaze spoke one final word, for he thought this was his doom "CLARENT!!" As Blaze uttered the words from his mouth the blade left in Blazes quarter broke from its sheath and shot down to its master, at that point Instance the table Blaze was on sparked to fire!! The flames only surrounding Blaze but not harming him,

Blaze was panicking as the table he was on was set ablaze. This looked like his end as his sword came towards him. He blinked his eyes and he seemed to be in another location entirely. It seemed to be an empty ballroom. He was the only one there. Until he heard a feminine giggle behind him.

"Hello there, you must be the new guy."

Standing behind him was a light blue coat with a dark brown mane that was set in a long flowing way. Not aetherical like a princesses, but just long.

"What is this stop!, stop!!, your not real!, arrggghhh, its so hot!, wh...at is happ..ening to me!" Blaze was confused, distraught, and for once in his life frightened. He didn't want his life to end this way after everything he's been through, all his training. "Stop stop please, I just... I just wanna wake up" "Clarent, please Clarent help me" the flames of the table grew as time passed

With a clop of her hooves on the floor, the table had vanished and he was now on the ground. The flames were gone and now he was in the moment safe.

"So, mister Blaze. Tell me what ales you? I have been sent to help. This is a safe place."

With another clopping of her hooves, a small table appeared before them with a pitcher of water.

"Please, Sit."

 

"What did you do to him exactly."
"I sent the consciousness of the tardis into Blazes mind. She should be able to find the problem, but it is up to Blaze to solve it.

"I hopw they're okay."

"Who... Your.... Your not real.... I need, I need my sword, where is it!?, where is Clarent!?" Blazes tongue was dry and his throat soar, he knew the water wasn't real, it was a trick someone was trying to take his mind... He wasn't safe not here, not anywhere... "Your not real, this isn't real!, stop this! Your trying to steal my mind!" Blaze wasn't going to stand for this! He was going to fight his way out! He was leaving this nightmare and escaping!

The mare appeared to Blaze's side.

"And as a sign of good faith..."
Sun Stone clopped her hooves twice and Blaze's sword appeared before him.

"I mean you no harm. In fact, my sole purpose here is to aid you in ending these nightmares."
Sun Stone sat in the chair on the other side of the table.

"Feel free to take a drink if you wish. I know that this isn't real, but this is your mind, so what is real is entirely up to you."

Blazes eyes shot open and he stared for a few seconds until he grabbed his sword and pointed it towards critical, "what did you do to me what's happening?" With a shake of his sword the flames die down, I don't know what just happened but someone was there, as Blaze ripped out the wire trapped in his neck, what is this?!
