Raek came out from the kitchen. "Did you say you're bringing dinner? I'm coming with you!"

Garth chuckled. "Go get 'em Raek. I guess that's true. We can't have the stairs always be up or else the Bards will locate us, so Legacy made us be able to rise and lower them as we see fit."

"All righty then. Let's go." Dusty grabbed his backpack and staff, tapping the mark on the wall. The stairs revealed themselves and he hagan walking up.

(I don't think it's possible. I can't do it on my phone. I do it to show Raek the cook's words and Garth's without having to constantly go said, told, yelled, etc.)

Raek ran up the stairs behind Dusty. "So what're you going to hunt today?"

Dusty stopped suddenly and put his ear to the ground. After about 15 seconds, he turned to the chef and said "Today? We're hunting for deer. unless we hurry, though, we'll be hunting for lettuce."

"Hmm... I enjoy deer. Which way?" He brandished one of his four cleavers.

"Due south, my friend. They've stopped for a bit, let's go."

The ponies head towards the deer.

(Raek is a manticore.)

 

Raek slowed down when he caught sight of them. "How many are we aiming to get?"

Dusty smiled. "How many can you carry?" he pulls out a small set of throwing knives.

"I'd say at least ten of the larger ones." Maek took out his second cleaver and got onto his tail, ready to spring himself into the air forward.

"Then what are we waiting for?" Dusty threw the first set of knives past the edge of the group of deer, scaring them all towards the Manticore. A second set of knives brought them in even closer.

Maek burst into through the middle of them, taking down six, three on each side, and an additional two stung by his stinger. He threw his cleavers at two others then drew and threw his cleaver at another two. Twelve deer were on the ground, dead or dying. "I hope you can carry two of them."

"I could hardly call myself a real outdoorsman if I couldn't." Dusty remarked as he gathered up his knives. He picked up the deer on his back.

Raek went to the four deer with the cleavers still impaled on them and got back his cleavers. "Good." He flung six deer over his back and gripped the last four with his tail. "At the rate that Garth eats, these'll last a few days."

She stopped to notice Dusty carrying two dead deer on his back "Wait, did you just kill them?"she said a bit worried.

Raek walked up to Ocean, carrying ten deer in total. "Is there a problem?"

Blake woke up with a yawn, he climbed out of bed "How long was I asleep?" he walked to the living room and sat in the couch still half asleep.

"I reckon so. We sure as sugar were lucky today! I haven't had a hunt like this in weeks. Let's head back. Looks like there's a storm heading our way." Dusty watched as the sky began to fill with dark clouds.

"Oh, no, nothing" she said looking down at the floor.

Garth looked at Blake. "Most of the night and then some."

 

Raek turned to Dusty. "We should get these to the fridge before they rot. Come on." He began to run towards the base.

Daisy started to wander around the building.

"So anything new happened?"he asked Garth "Well, you know besides new ponies"

"Well, Raek and Dusty just went out to go hunt some, so we should have a supply of meat soon." Garth liked his lips, already tasting it.
