The use of the word gay does not necessitate a semantically null sentence.

It does not necessitate the retention of the pejorated meaning of the word gay.

 

It can mean whatever the speaker means, however in our day and time it is generally derogatory.

It doesn't however, typically mean homosexual, as it has fallen farther from grace than one would think.

It is a word that discriminates upon all, yet none.
