Monkshood

@@Tricksters Pride

"I guess your right", Monkshood told Ice giving her an indifferent shrug. "Granted I value much of my time, and will most likely charge somepony like him a little extra for use of such a finite resource". He began to slowly inch forward into the market motioning for the mare to follow suite. "I'm not worried about price. I'm almost certain whatever you pay will be more than ample".

Monkshood stopped for a moment, and glanced back at Ice. He began to think back to the multitude of conversations he had from last night. The question of weaponry had come up with both Ice and North Shine. He unfortunately was unskilled in the use of such implements, yet would never admit to it overtly. "Actually do you recall that you had mentioned my lack of weaponry last night before we interrupted. I will more than likely need some, I guess, if we are to travel onwards", his tone remained dull sounding as he tried to bring back up parts of their unfinished conversation from last night.

@@MagicalStarRain,

Dorado smiled at the young mare and the chuckled. "Hahaha oh señorita. You just don't want Dorados help am I right? Haha well I do not have much errands seeing as I thought we would leave yesterday. If you truly do not need my assistance, then let me see what you got." Dorado looked around for a moment to see if he could find a target. His face lit up when he saw the perfect one. "Ok señorita. See that building over there?" Dorado pointed to one about 30 yards away. "You see that spot where some of the paint a missing in the center of the wall? Hit that." The spot wasn't super large, about the size of a basketball and it was 30 yards away, not that far a distance. Decent archers should be able to hit the target.

@@Windbreaker,

Eternity was surprised by the sudden tap on the head but it quickly phased him. "I suppose you are right. Apologies..." Eternity looked at the stallion again. He continued to study that book with intensity. "Scientist huh? What science? Magic...? Is magic even a science. I suppose Arcanology is. It has the suffix 'ology' in it heheh. Wonder if that makes me a scientist. If chemists and biologists are considered scientists maybe an arcanologist is too. Oh sorry rambling. If you are a scientist then, what are you researching?"

(SR & D)

Star Rain glanced at the wall, then she looked around the town.  She turned to Dorado, still expressionless, and asked,"You do realize that you're asking me to shoot some pony's building with a weapon in a crowd in broad daylight, right?"

@@AnonBrony,@@Windbreaker,

The book Kinetic Energy was reading was pretty much word-for-word the information Star Rain has disclosed to Eternity last night.  There were some additional information like the historical accounts of miracles brought on by heroes who wished on the Scroll and a few pictures of runes and artifacts found at the now-abandoned city.  The strange thing though was that there wasn't anything that told any pony about what happened to them after they made the wish.  And it doesn't say anything about where these artifacts are now.

@@MagicalStarRain,

Dorado rolled his eyes. "Oh, so what?" He sighed. "Fine I'll pick at different target." He looked towards the Everfree forest this time.  He saw a tree at the edge of the forest that had a pretty large hollow in the side of it. "There. That bare tree with the broken branch. Try and get your arrow inside the hole of the tree. Seems about... 35 metros away."

Noble Persona

“You turn everything into a game, don’t you? Don’t worry. I’m not going to be rude or mean, on the condition that she is also polite and reasonable. It’s not much to ask, really.” Noble said in a cheerful tone and gesturing for Sonnet to lead on. He found it harder to answer North’s question, though. ‘That is a good question. We’ve worked together for a while…but I have no idea how I feel. Or how she feels.

“…No?”

Kinetic Energy

“I dabble in a bit of everything. My fields of expertise are Engineering, Chemistry, and yes, a bit of magic as well. I wasn’t named ‘Kinetic Energy’ for nothing. I’m just finishing some research into the Wishing Scroll. There’s nothing I’d really wish for, but I would like a chance to study it.” He said in a bright, cheerful tone as he jotted down the last of his notes and closed the book. Out of the corner of his eye, a sign leading to the basement and saying ‘Ancient Tomes’ caught his attention.

He checked his watch. “Hmm…only half an hour until target practice. Care to join me for lunch? Or shall we push target practice back a bit and investigate the Ancient Tomes section in the basement?”

Sonnet.

@@Windbreaker,

"Life is a game dear!" Sonnet chirped as she wove through the crowd with an elegance that her somewhat air headed temperament would not have alluded to: twisting around ponies without once needing to ask any to move. "And what's the point of playing if you can't enjoy it?"

She didn't really know what she was saying - it was one if those sayings that sort if made sense to Sonnet - though any deeper meaning was Lindt on her. It made her sound deep and intelligent: she liked that.

"Here, see? I have a very discerning eye dear: spices and herbs and so forth... now, you said she enjoys cooking? Well..."

Never quite forgotten.

@@AnonBrony,

Well, that's better.  Alright, just concentrate… Star Rain levitated an arrow out of her quiver, strung it to the bowstring, and rested it on the arrow rest of the bow(which was also levitating now).  She pulled it back to it's full draw length, aimed, fired, and missed.  She had aimed too high and the arrow sunk itself into the tree five inches away from the target.  Knowing from experience what response to expect from a pony like Dorado, she stared at the arrow she fired with a blank look.

@,@@Windbreaker,

North Shine simply gave Noble a teasing look as she began to follow the two of them.  "You're probably just going to get lost around town, so just ask me about how to navigate the whole place, alright?  My friends call me street-smart for a VERY good reason, you know," she said cheerfully.

@@MagicalStarRain,

Dorado began laughing. "It looks like you do need some help. But... that shot wasn't completely terrible. By that Dorado means you didn't shoot the arrows a couple feet away from the tree. The hold is a little big, but not as a big as a target. So if you only got it a few inches away... I think that means it that was an actually target, you would of hit it. Most likely the edge, but a hit is a hit." Dorado took the bow from her. "You levitated it with your magic. I'm not a unicorn so that means you will use it differently. I use my mouth to pull back the string." He took an arrow from her quiver. Rested it on the bow using his hooves. Then with one hoof held out the bow and with his mouth pulled back the string. He held his breath for a brief moment and quickly identified his target. Next in a spit second he raised his hoof and the bow slightly so that the arrow would arch perfectly, but since it was only 30 yards it he only raised it a little. He took the shot and the arrow landed dead center in the hollow of the tree. "I aim differently since I use my mouth. I don't think I can teach you how to aim. I'll tell you this: practice makes perfect. You will have to practice to get better at judging distances and figuring out how high or low to aim or how far left or right you have to aim to hit a moving target. Since you are a unicorn I do not think you need to worry about your stance." He was about to give the bow back back but he hesitated. "Before I give this back Watch this!" he exclaimed. He drew a crude target in the dirt. The aimed and fire an arrow straight up into the air. "I suggest you stand away from the target." Meanwhile Dorado stood right beside it not moving.

Eternity lit up at the mention of ancient tomes. He was now curious. as a cat. "Ancient Tomes? Really now? In this Library? Are there even books down there? Doesn't somepony live here... would be rude... Ooohh but I do want to look at such tomes... if there are any..." Eternity moved over to the basement door, taken a glance down the steps.

(Wait are there even any books in Twlight's basement? I thought she just kept sciencey stuff down there and all the books are on Twilight's first and second floor and the second floor being her personal collection.)
