Hello everypony and Welcome to The Official Planning Thread of Equestria's Got talent. Here you will find the rules, format and everything else. 

 

Here's the deal

 

Auditions

 

For the auditions, the RP thread will remain "open", yet people will still have to enter their OC in the OOC /Searching thread. This way, Us three DMs/Judges could keep count of the number of ponies who enter in the RP. Us three DMs will also decide on the cap number of auditions. I'm thinking it to be 200. The OCs who make it though the auditions will move on to the Los Pegasus round. In the auditions, it is very important that you break up your audition into several posts, so that the judges will be able to interact with your OC, whether it's buzzing, smiling or having any other emotion towards the OC currently performing. 

 

Los Pegasus Round

 

This is the round where the judges decide who goes and who stays. No audience interaction. OCs will be called randomly, one at a time. During this part of the RP, OCs in the waiting area are able to interact and talk to each other. Out of the OCs who made it though auditions, only 50 will be able to move on to the next round, which will take place in Hollywood, Coltifornia. 

 

Top 50 (Quarterfinal 1)

 

In this round, the 50 OCs who've made it from Los Pegasus will compete for a spot in the Top 25. This is the first round where the jury (ponies who were eliminated in previous rounds) votes on who goes on. The voting system will be as follows:

 

Your OC will enter in a room that has a list of all current contestants. They will make tally marks next to whoever they vote for.

Example: Shade went over to the voting room. +1 Thunder Dash. 

 

This method will continue until the end of the RP.

 

Only 25 ponies will make it to the second of the quarterfinal rounds

 

Top 25 (Quarterfinal 2)

 

(See Top 50) Only 10 OCs will make it to the first semifinal round.

 

Top 10 (Semifinal 1)

 

(Same format as Top 50 and Top 25). Only 5 OCs will make it to the next semifinal.

 

Top 5 (Semifinal 2)

 

(Same format as Top 50). Only two OCs will make it to the final

 

Top 2 (FINAL)

 

Only one OC will be crowned victor and Equestria's #1 talented pony. That OC will win 1 million bits and also a performance of their act at the upcoming Summer Sun Festival in front of Princess Celestia herself. 

 

All basic rules apply (no godmodding, mary sue, op characters etc.)

 

Keep swearing to a minimum

DMs have final say in debates

Feldian clause applies here

And most of all...HAVE FUN AND BE A GOOD SPORT

 

Don't worry if you don't make it the first time, I'll keep doing this RP. 

 

A full list of the contestants will be attached to this post after a while.

Not really actually. We'll see how the judges go. To be fair, I'm not entering any of my OCs as contestants. Instead, I'll have one as the host.
